What we can be sure of though, is that Codemasters has at least put together a great foundation on which to build. They've promised that as well as that ranked mode, new content and features will roll out to players going forward and if they make the right steps, Onrush could end up being an absolutely huge deal. At launch though, it serves as a great taste of what could be, even if it could go with just a little bit more fuel in the tank.

If you've been longing for a driving game with more destruction than you can keep up with, Onrush delivers. There are many things unique about this new arcade racer, the top being that the term “racer” is a misnomer.

Original ideas are delightful, but there isn't too much of content. And we're going to be bored very quickly.

OnRush is a brilliant and original title, but not as deep as other competitive alternatives. Now that there's the base of the strutcture and it's clearly good and intuitive, developers have the responsability to bring continuosly new elements to support to their, hopefully, growing creature.

Overall, Onrush can be considered a fun and entertaining game that shows a fair quality in all its components, including gameplay, area design, music, sound, etc. The game can really convey the pleasure of fighting and destruction and has proved well in this regard. Its gameplay cannot be seen in other games. however, the most significant disadvantage is its high $60 price; Onrush has not enough content compared to the charged price.

All in all, Onrush turns out to be a wonderful and addicting entry into the racing genre.

Codemasters gives us a fun game but we'll have seen everything it has to offer in a matter of hours unless you're addicted to unlocking cosmetic customization elements.

Onrush is a chaotic arcade game that surprisingly comes together – even if there are question marks regarding its longevity. This brash vehicular experience draws inspiration from several different areas of the industry, but it reassembles them into something unusual and entertaining. A great online infrastructure means you can be in and out of the action in seconds, but the package could do with a little more meat on its bones to fully justify its price tag.

Onrush is a very fun and entertaining racing game for the fans of Motorstorm and Burnout, which could've been better if the developers added more real identity to the cars. A relatively small number of routes and a low difficulty also affects the excitement and final impression.

Onrush is a fast, fun and entrertaining game. By scraping a little it's surface, we discover that it is more subtle than it seems and therefore has more depth than one might think. The range of action is wide enough for everyone to find his account. But there are some bugs that are hard to forgive, even if they are not very serious. Let's hope that future patches will both correct them and evolve the game so that we can continue to ride for a long time.

When blazing along smashing everything in sight or assisting others in a rare team-based racer, Onrush is an absolute blast to play. I wish it handled its "stampede" a little more cleanly when managing respawns and had enough content to truly justify its price point, but we can only hope future updates and community management will lend it the hand it deserves in building a committed playerbase.

Onrush delivers a sense of thrilling arcade action in a way no other game is doing but the awe-inspiring moments of epic proportions quickly become old as they happen so rapidly.

ONRUSH tries a number of new things with its team-based driving mechanics, and some aspects of this gamble pay off better than others. Its speed and mechanics are sound, but those looking for something a bit more traditional best approach with caution.

Repetitive gameplay and high price prevent Onrush from becoming a new benchmark in racing genre, but it can still be fun for die hard fans of arcade racing.

Creators of Motorstorm introducing a new kind of racing. It is amusing but without full-featured multiplayer.

Onrush does well to fill that racing void as a non-serious arcade, 'destruction-derby type of vehicular mayhem' experience. However, as enjoyable and heart-pounding as the matches can be, the novelty eventually begins to wear thin and, once that happens, there is little else that can reignite the flame in this racer.

Onrush is the perfect game to play after a long day at work. It's fast, it's fun and somewhat cathartic as well. Unfortunately the lack of content and a cooperative multiplayer focus that's never fully realized will leave you rushing to play something else after a few sessions.

When set against other titles offering vehicular combat such as Carmageddon, Interstate '76, or even Twisted Metal, Onrush pales in variety, longevity, and simple car crushing fun.

In the end, it can be said that this game has lots of potential to turn into an engaging and fun experience. But the lack of content and some minor problems keep it from becoming a true high quality product. Maybe as with Driveclub, developers will keep supporting this one too, turning into a better game in time, but even so, its current situation will surely affect the game's success. And considering all this, experiencing this title can be amusing if you manage to get it with a lower price during sales, and keep your expectations down
