Battlefield V offers a compelling single-player and multiplayer package, although it's not the complete reinvention that you may have hoped for.

Battlefield's traditional strengths remain firmly in place amid DICE's return to World War II: great graphics, audio, and a scope that few other games can equal. But it's a thinner package than usual, and the decision to hold important modes like Firestorm until 2019 feels like a crucial misstep. Battlefield 5 is a good shooter as it is, but we wouldn't blame you if you decided to wait until it's had some time to mature.

Not as drastic a change up as its WW1 predecessor, nor as wild or wondrous, Battlefield 5's deliberative design sidelines its strengths as a simulative sandbox.

Battlefield V offers incredible pace as it sidesteps into the hardcore realm with modest success. Maps are open and satisfactory for Conquest, albeit with design issues, and some modes are too linear and chaotic. These inconsistencies, along with numerous technical issues, make it a good game that may eventually become a great one.

Battlefield V looks like an early access version of what the game will look like next year.

This is a Battlefield experience through and through. However, I find myself staring more at the gaps in the menus than the accessible parts that are there. The promise of future content is a great thing, but not when you are constantly reminded of the voids it will fill. Fans will love this entry, and rightfully so, but in its current form Battlefield V won't be recruiting any new soldiers to this battle.

Battlefield V is a solid shooter but feels like it should have been delayed a few months to ensure all features would be available at launch.

Battlefield V is very much a work in progress. The core experience is thrilling and comes together beautifully with the right players. It’s a multiplayer offering that DICE could no doubt expand upon in the coming months with meaningful updates to put it more in line with community expectations. Once the balancing issues and technical problems become a thing of the past, Battlefield V will stand as one of the most engaging multiplayer experiences on the market.

Battlefield V is in its current state not recommendable and a big step back for the series. The Singleplayer and Multiplayer deliver less and less content and feel more and more unfinished. The Gunplay is a lot better than in Battlefield 1 and even the short War Stories deliver some great new insights for the series and into WW2 but we can't recommend getting this game in it's current state. The content at the moment will dissapoint newcomers and long-time fans of the series.

Battlefield V is good sequel and quite proper competitor for Black Ops 4. There is great chance for the game to get better by time as its most important flaws are lack of content and solvable technical issues. But at the end, it all comes back to the devs and their support.

If you are fan of Any kind of Fps shooters, then you should absolutely play online sections of battlefield V. It's a lot better than previous installment of series and is one of the best online multiplayer in this generation. Also If you deal with terrible AI and camera issues you can enjoy its single player campaign to see women's vital role in world war 2.

It's a structure, like a gym or a concert, and we have our role to play in it. It is good for what it is, but it isn't more than that. This is a first-person shooter on a large scale, and if you've played one before and you're itching for the most-recent and best-looking Battlefield, then you've found it. Anything more or less than that and you're better off getting last year's model. It's probably gotten all the kinks worked out, at least.

I trust DICE, I think they're a great developer, and I have no doubt that six months from now when all of the promised content for Battlefield 5 has finally made its way into the game that this will be one of the best multiplayer shooters on the market. But at this moment, it simply feels like more of what we've already seen before with some slight tweaks that only series veterans will truly appreciate.

Battlefield V is a grand and addictive shooter with some smart ideas for improving gunplay and team dynamics, but at launch it has too many technical issues and holes in its content to excel.

Over the last month, enough content has been added to Battlefield V where it doesn't feel like you're picking up a glorified Beta, and the multiplayer modes on offer are as solid as ever, with Grand Operations standing out as the pick of the bunch.

War in the Pacific expansion is a breat of fresh air for Battlefield V. It introduces two new armies, plenty of new weapons and vehicles, but also new maps based in titular Pacific. It's a great move to make. It will be worth to wait for the expansion culmination in February 2020.

Battlefield V is a step in the right direction with a number of great features. The most important of them is to restore the spirit of cooperative play and enthusiasm to Multiplayer as well as impressive map design. I hope that DICE will save this game so this series can not be treated like this

It's undeniable that Battlefield 5 is solid and the squad system is greatly improved. However, because of the absent of the Firestorm and Combined Arms, the gameplay doesn't show much difference compared with its prequels while the Grand Operations mode which is the only new mode in BF5 at this time is dull and full of flaws.

In many ways it feels too early to judge Battlefield V, and the game doesn't feel quite as substantial as it needs to. But the foundation is strong, and upcoming free content releases should add a lot of depth to the title.

The game places itself as a solid entry into the franchise but you can't help but wonder how the game constantly breaks new ground in new areas, but falls short in others.
