I thoroughly enjoyed my time with Pokemon: Let’s Go! Eevee and thought it was a great way to take players back to the Kanto region and experience a re-imagining of one of my favourite Pokemon games of the past. Even though at it’s core it is a remake, it still brings plenty of fresh ideas and new gameplay mechanics with it’s new capture system and the ability to interact with the Pokemon directly on the map. I still can’t believe how visually great the game looks and it still wows me every time I turn it on to play. As a first entry made solely for the Nintendo Switch it has me really excited to see what Game Freak are cooking up for next year’s core Pokemon title.

Pokémon Let's Go, Pikachu! and Let's Go, Eevee! are a clear example that it's possible to reinvent yourself modifying the essence with novelties such as the direct capture of wild Pokémon, even improve it, offering a much more accessible game experience capable of satisfying new and veterans players.

My nostalgia for this series is strong and could've destroyed the fun I had with Pokémon: Let's Go Pikachu and Eevee, but instead galvanised it. This is the classic original generation of Pokémon, but it looks better, plays better, and feels incredibly refreshing. Pokémon on Nintendo Switch isn't just a Pokémon GO companion piece, it's a fantastic RPG in its own right, and with any luck, will spawn its own series of Pokémon games for the future. A great Pokémon game for veterans and newcomers. Now if you'll excuse me, I have a Pokédex to complete.

In spite of the fact that the expectations weren't high after the first trailers, Pokémon: Let's Go is able to result, not only a really good remake of Pokémon Red/Green, but the biggest step forward in the franchise. Definitely one of the biggest and greatest surprises of 2018!

Pokémon: Let's Go is a game for the heart, not for the head. However, the Pokémon feeling is transported unbeatably well.

Pokémon: Let’s Go, Eevee! may be a remake of the oldest Pokémon games in the series, but it shakes up the standard Pokémon formula more than any of the main games since. With a catching system reminiscent of Pokémon Go, an adorable Eevee or Pikachu partner, multiplayer, and gorgeous graphics, the Let’s Go games have something to offer for every Pokémon fan, though the game’s changes may be just different enough to throw off the nostalgia for returning players.

For over twenty years, Pokémon has been a source of joy and adoration. If Pokémon Let's Go is an indication of where the franchise is headed in the future, it's easily going to enjoy another two decades of love from a whole new generation of fans.

Overall, Pokémon Let's Go Pikachu and Let's Go Eevee achieve what they set out to in the beginning. They bring series' veterans back into the fold while also making it easy for newcomers to see what the ‘core' RPG games have been about all these years. The catching mechanic turned out to be a welcome change and it turns out I actually want more to change with the formula as a result. Here's to more Pokémon in 2019 and hopefully there's some fresh new ideas in store.

A simple but amazing experience. Hard to describe the joy of catching a shiny pokemon.

Even if this Pokemon: Let’s Go Pikachu and Let’s Go Eevee doesn’t introduce anything new (like a new storyline and pokémons), there are few improvements (especially in the gameplay) that shows the potential of a great future for the new Pokemon, coming in 2019. Hopefully we’ll see a new monster generation this time! So, I suggest you this game for Nintendo Switch, both if you’re experienced Pokemon trainers (you’ll enjoy all the easter eggs related to old Pokemon games and to the Anime) and if you’re gonna play a Pokemon game for the first time.

Despite the game’s flaws, I had a great time with Pokémon Let’s Go. The atmosphere was charming and inviting, and the details created a fun visual experience. The new capture method was engaging, and made no two encounters the same. This game is the perfect way to ease Pokémon GO players into the console Pokémon games, and offers challenges to old and new players alike.

Hardcore fans might feel that this game is too casual, but the general audience will be floored by the revamping of the Kanto region and the inclusion of new mechanics.

Pokemon Let’s Go is enchanting, refreshing and delightful. A few design choices and slight concerns aside, this is one of the easiest recommendations I’ve made this year.

Although there was fear of how Pokémon Go mechanics could fit in the gameplay scheme of both títles, Pokémon: Let's Go, Pikachu! and Pokémon: Let's Go, Eevee! are two fantastic remakes that show how even a well consilidated formula can still adapt to new ideas. Also its a guaranteed travel through time, specially for those who enjoyed Pokémon Red, Blue or Yellow versions when kids (or teens).

Pokemon: Let's Go, Pikachu/Let's Go, Eevee is fun to play. It has much new design comes from Pokemon Go, which is quite suitable to traditional Pokemon series. The partner pokemon system is adorable, and can attract many casual gamers. However, comparing to the prequels, LGPE lacks many basic functions such as new pokemons and new moves. The complete version of Pokemon on NS still needs to be waited until next year.
