Prey: Mooncrash is a well-crafted DLC which focuses on battles, resource management, and roguelike experience. However, this DLC might be too difficult to persuade players who only expect a thrilling story to continue playing it.

If at first you don't succeed and find yourself horribly mauled to death by a lunar landshark, try try again. Prey: Mooncrash takes the core elements of Prey and tweaks them to provide a new and immersive experience that offers a fresh new spin on Arkane Studio's fantastic game of spacebound paranoia.
Mooncrash is Prey at its best, featuring enough challenges and gadgets in a well-designed playground to keep you coming back for more
An interesting attempt to blend roguelite elements within a narrative and a welcome return to Prey's quirky alien world. It won't be for everyone but it's a satisfying, fun and challenging experience for fans of one of last year's best games.
In comparsion to the original game, Mooncrash brings a totally different experience, but it manages to do so pretty well. It's not going to be for everyone, but the fans of the roguelite genre probably will be satisfied.

DLC that changes AAA game's genre is a rare and risky play, but whatever Arkane Studios touches, it turns into gold.

While Prey was a solid title, Mooncrash is a quality portion of the game that is comparable to the main game.
If you have enjoyed your time with Prey, don’t let the random elements deter you from buying this expansion. This is basically the best thing for a downloadable content that the developers could have done with Prey’s gameplay and it is worth its asking price if you want more of the same.
For fans of Prey, the idea of a roguelite DLC might have filled them with trepidation, but "Mooncrash" is an experience that shouldn't be missed.
Arkane leverages Prey's strengths in gameplay with a rogue like twist on story delivery for one of the best DLCs of the year.

Ultimately, Mooncrash is another great reason to get into Prey.
The experience that can be found in Mooncrash is just as exciting as what is in Prey. At times it feels as though it could be even better due to the lack of an official story; it feels as though the trials and tribulations that come with each attempt make for amazing stories themselves. The best part is that even though there are five characters and five escapes, the variations of how to guide each of them to successful escapes are seemingly unlimited. The only downsides are the excessive loading times and a fairly lengthy commitment to get all the character progressions rolling. Story expansions are fun for most titles but this completely separate rogue-like experience is a refreshing way to revisit the Prey universe and is a justifiable purchase for all survival simulation fans.
A smart expansion that probably won't be for everybody—but the right player will love it.
Blends roguelike with its own style.

Mooncrash is a great piece of DLC that every Prey owner should look into purchasing.
If you're looking to enjoy more of what Prey already was, then I think there's a lot to like with Mooncrash. The core systems and mechanics of Prey are still readily found in Mooncrash and as such make for a lot of fun, challenging objectives to overcome. For me, it was an experience that lost steam the longer I played, but I can't deny how much I enjoyed its initial opening hour.
