Having said that, I still recommend that you play MOTHERGUNSHIP on PlayStation 4. The build-your-own-guns gameplay mechanic is fun, and it forces you to think a bit outside the box as you balance how you use the parts you purchase with those you're sometimes forced to use for a mission to create something that is useful and not too powerful to use for a long period of time

Unique action game with total firepower and cool modular gun-crafting systems. However later a bit eventless.

Your enjoyment of Mothergunship is going to be dependent on how much you liked Tower of Guns. Even though other games are starting to adopt the style, the fast pace is still refreshing, and the enemy variety could be better. Players will have tons of fun trying to make up new and ridiculous guns, but they'll also curse the game when it becomes so hard that they lose all of the parts they worked so hard to get. Mothergunship looks and sounds great, and with new modes and items coming in from future patches, there's still some enjoyment to be had after defeating the game. For shooting fans, Mothergunship is well worth checking out.

Mothergunship is a game with brilliant ideas and an extremely fast paced and engaging gameplay. Though some ideas work, others leave you dissapointed but all in all it can be amusing for a couple of hours

There really aren't many other shooters out there that offer this sort of blend of comedy, speed, chaos, and gun customization.

MOTHERGUNSHIP is another unique take on the first person shooter, and at first glance it seems to take the central strengths of Tower of Guns to a new level. The gunplay is still as solid as ever, and having overarching RPG elements makes the disparate missions feel more like a cohesive game. However, MOTHERGUNSHIP feels more like an Early Access title than a fully finished game. Some bits feel like a step backwards from Tower of Guns, while many elements seem like they need more time and refinement to really gel.

Mothergunship's glorious, fast-paced action is let down in the long run by a small enemy roster and repeating room layouts.

As it stands, though, Mothergunship is still a game worth a look. The gun customization, even with the limitations the levels impose, is still a blast to play around with. The character interactions are also a cherry on top, adding a spark of charm that games like this really need to stand out from the crowd.

While not without flaws, MOTHERGUNSHIP is a game I enjoyed playing. The gun crafting system in combination with the excellent use of visual animation results in a satisfying game built around player creativity. However, enemies, and rooms still feel repetitive especially when the game limits your ability to customize your weapon. The progression systems help to round out the package nicely making MOTHERGUNSHIP a game I'd recommend to fans of roguelikes or those intrigued by its core mechanics.

MOTHERGUNSHIP is a great follow up to Tower of Guns. Anyone who played and liked that game will feel right at home here and will love this game. Any fan of fast-paced first person shooters should also sink their teeth into the game.

Though the core gameplay is as rock solid as Tower of Guns, MOTHERGUNSHIP's weapon crafting is a victim of lost potential. Still, we're hopeful that Terrible Posture Games can turn it around with future updates.

Deep weapon customization, replayability and interesting combat arena design makes Mothersgunship more than a worthy spiritual successor of Tower of Guns.

MOTHERGUNSHIP is dripping with personality and style. It excels in its end game when it reveals it has an Endless mode, then “Nightmare” difficulties, and ways to grind XP to make you stronger and faster. Crafting guns is far and away the best thing about the game. It’s a shame you can’t save any of them as a favorite, but knowing that you can form a window, or something that looks out of a cartoon is just such a highlight. MOTHERGUNSHIP is one of those games that you keep going back to see what other crazy shit you can make.

Mothergunship is a great game thanks to its genuinely brilliant gunplay, fantastic craftings mechanics and a steep-ass difficulty curve. It can be frustrating but it’s most assuredly never boring and earns an immediate place on your hard drive.

It's fast, frantic and fun, but with so many loading screens and conversations to get through, the immersion breaks down leaving a frustrating shooter that's a little overpried.
