The Persistence (VR) Reviews
Survival Horror and PlayStation VR Make For A Lethal Combination
Overall, the progression is solid, but there are a few moments where I felt it was sort of unfair (i.e having to backtrack with no health in sight) due to the procedural generation. You'll want to pick this game up, because while it does have its flaws, there's something incredibly satisfying about sneaking up behind enemies and zapping the stem cells out of their skulls. It's a feeling I encourage all of you to seek out.
Talking to anyone about The Persistence is sure to almost always include comparisons to games like Resident Evil 7 and Dead Space, though it's easy to see how these comparisons exist The Persistence is really doing something completely different. With Sci-Fi. Horror and Rogue-Like characteristics all rolled into one neat little package it's hard to make any real direct comparisons to any of these games.
Are you ready to face up horrors inside infected spaceship? It is average game but with more interesting experience becouse VR.

The Persistence, ultimately, is a fine example of both a rinse-and-repeat rogue-like and a first-person horror game.
The Persistence is an immersive, but not so scary, PSVR stealth game set in a spaceship full of zombies. It uses Rogue-lite mechanics in a good way, feels very punishing- but not impossible - and has some cool weapons to fight in its procedurally generated levels, that you can visit with a friend using a tablet.

The Persistence cleverly blends Dead Space-esque outer-space sci-fi scares with the addictive arcade loop of rogue-lites like Rogue Legacy, resulting in a PlayStation VR campaign that's both gut-wrenching and weirdly replayable. It won't take you a million lightyears to complete the likeable campaign, but a hardcore mode awaits when you've finished, and clever co-op functionality adds a little longevity to the experience as well. With a compelling gameplay format as well as some great gadgetry, this is one survival mission we thoroughly enjoyed.
Interesting take on survival horror +roguelike games that brings something that VR on PS4 still doesn't have. But as a game, there's not much to delve here.

The Persistence as a horror in VR is quite interesting. It's kind of run-of-the-mill experience, but it still can be unnerving for the player.

The Persistence is a stealth-action game with a sci-fi horror setting and hints of roguelike. Each time you die, you start again in another body, but maintaining the skills, however, the ship is regenerated procedurally each time making the game more challenging than its enemies already present. If you like what you read, don't hesitate to give it a try. But be clear about the game's proposal, if it cannot become a nightmare.

With a simple but engaging upgrade system; enough weapons and gadgets to make James Bond blush; and a great parrying mechanic that brings an unexpected rhythmic element to combat, this is one title that warrants a purchase even without any fancy VR setup. Repetition with enemy variety and level structure may mar the experience for some players, but it's easy to overlook these faults when the core game has so much to offer.
The Persistence is a smart, and genuinely scary, mix of horror and roguelite elements that takes full advantage of VR.
A good and handsome VR Space Survival shooter with just right timed Roguelike elements.

After playing The Persistence on Xbox One I’m sort of disappointed I skipped it on PlayStation VR. The game is really well done and is built in a way that every small step helps; even if I die on a level, as long as I have collected something my time is not wasted.
The Persistence is a fascinating project for the space adventure enthusiasts with a strong focus on stealth and atmosphere. Together with The Moss, this is one of the few worthy VR games this year.

The Persistence is terrifying, makes great use of VR and its procedural level creation works great. We also like the local asimetric multiplayer approach.

In The Persistence, the team at Firesprite have concocted a rogue-lite survival horror whose atmosphere and hard hitting combat feel fantastic in VR. Thanks to an impressive array of comfort options it's also amongst the best PSVR experiences we've had, and for owners of Sony's headset it's damn near essential.
One of the best horror games on PlayStation VR, as well as an impressively inventive first person roguelike that Dead Space fans in particular will appreciate.
This is one of the better VR titles available on the PlayStation 4, and the variety at which you get to customise your character paired with the survival horror make it a fun game to play.
The Persistence is a unique and unsettling sci-fi horror roguelite that does an excellent job of transferring its tense atmosphere and absorbing gameplay loops from its original VR form to the Nintendo Switch.
