Capcom at its finest: a bunch of interesting and still largely enjoyable beat'em up.

A compelling and satisfying collection of prime side-scrolling brawlers from Capcom's arcade heyday, though there are some missing titles and less bonus material then we'd like, Capcom Beat Em Up Bundle does justice to its selection, making it an essential prospect for fighting fans and co-op players alike.

A good selection of classic beat'em ups that could have been even better with little effort.

Although the seven games on offer are good examples of the fun, but shallow genre, it's hard to shake the feeling that with a bit more attention – the kind Mega Man and Street Fighter received – this could have been another must have retro collection.

For all its issues though, the Capcom Beat 'Em Up Bundle still impresses. Whether you've played any of the games it contains before or not, you're likely to find at least a couple that grab you and make the collection worthwhile.

Capcom Beat 'Em Up Bundle is a celebration of cult classics and a tribute to a beloved genre that was never forgotten: for 19.99' you can bring yourself home a piece of history that still deserves to be discovered and played, one continue after another. In other words, don't miss this hymn to pure arcade fun.

The games in the Capcom Beat ‘Em Up Bundle may be short, shallow and repetitive by nature, but these arcade classics are an important slice of gaming history and still make for a perfect high score wager between friends. In any case, for £17.99, it is an affordable catch up for those that are either interested in the history of the beat ’em up genre or fancy an interactive trip down memory lane.

Another problem with the online play is that if the host of the game leaves, everyone else is booted from the game. If you don't really care for brawlers, the games in this collection aren't going to change your mind. That said, there is a lot of value in the Capcom Beat ‘Em Up Bundle, and I highly recommend it to fans of the genre or those who love couch co-op games.

Capcom really phoned it in this time. The emulators used are extremely accurate and the games play as good as ever, but with missing bonus features, it's hard to call this one of their best anthologies.

Irredeemably shallow but effortlessly entertaining, this unexpected tribute to a lost genre will make a beat 'em-up fan of anyone.

Playing online is fun at times, but the constant presence of lag knocks that feature down a peg. And while the seven brawlers featured in this bundle are top-notch, the ones that are missing are too hard to ignore. Even still, the Capcom Beat 'Em Up Bundle is a pleasant romp through a museum full of the best coin munchers ever produced.

As a fan of the Beat Em' Up genre, this collection strikes the proper balance with each game providing its own unique experience. There is a lack of bonus material and the online multiplayer is a little spotty, but the support for couch co-op is great.

If you have fond memories of the arcade originals, you've probably already bought the Capcom Beat 'Em Up Bundle. If you haven't, then you most definitely should. For the money, Capcom Beat 'Em Bundle offers a nice little slice of arcade history in seven games, two of which you can play on console for the first time. What's not to like?

It's tempting to gorge on this collection of seven distinctive arcade games as an all-you-can-eat brawler buffet, but the genre's innate repetitiveness means it's most enjoyable to feast on one quality Capcom coin-op at a time. The Capcom Beat 'Em Up Bundle is a delightful history lesson in the technical pixel-artistry of CPS brawler design, starting in 1989 with Final Fight as a genuine classic, and then continuing through the 1990s with fondly remembered street fisticuff games and hack-and-slash fantasy titles. Over twenty years later, Capcom's style and craftsmanship showcased in the coin-ops previously unavailable on console -- Armored Warriors and Battle Circuit -- justifies a purchase of the Capcom Beat 'Em Up Bundle in its own right.
