GRIS is a moving work of art. If the stunning visuals don't entice you to play, then the messages from the story will. If you haven't played GRIS yet, then do so immediately.

Gris is not really long-running game, you can complete the whole experience in around 4 hours. The game phases are well defined, through the use of colour: from a desaturated start, the player goes through different and intense hue of colours, metaphor of a psychologic journey towards the acceptation of ourselves. Gris will bring us in the deepest abyss of mind, where our fears and the rejection of who we truly are will force us on looking at everything as it was without any life or colour. Where everything is destroyed and hope is what last, but still, you can hear a faint voice and a weak breath.

A gorgeous yet ultimately shallow platformer, which tries its best to connect emotionally but disappoints almost as much as it dazzles.

Gris is on of the most beautiful games I've ever seen. You could picture yourself as the main protagonist and see the game as it your life. At first, you're weak but this is all in your head. To overcome the problems, you should trust yourself. Maybe even the main villain of the games is just yourself.

Go play this game, and if you have a chunk of time, play it all at once. Spanish developer Nomada Studio has created something truly special.

GRIS is the most tender and probably the most beautiful game of the year. Clean and minimalistic act of art

From the first cutscene, GRIS shows what it is here for. Fully committing to its minimalism, it knows how to balance sentimentality and reflexion, noise and silence, to create an experience like no other. This game is truly a work of art.

Gris creates a colorful, unique and unforgettable inner world, with a beautiful art style, and great music. Although Nomada Studio can make its game more fun to play, as the first piece of its works, Gris is still a fantastic indie game.

Gris is one of the best indies of the year and one of the ones we have enjoyed the most from the whole generation without any doubt. It's not only a beautiful game with a great soundtrack, it's also original and ostensibly varied in its dynamics. Enough to catch you once you start it and until the end.

Some people can tolerate vague metaphors in the name of artiness, but what frustrates me so much is that GRIS managed to provide me with a real attachment to a minor companion character over the course of 10-15 minutes.

It is very complex to be able to start talking about GRIS since it is a unique experience that pushes the narrative limits of the game as a medium. It is one of those works that make a difference, perhaps not with commercial success and recognition of the general public but in its nature of art has the quality that gives "What to think", that is, encourages critical thinking while leading to player to find emotional resonance in the journey of his trip. And there comes a point where it becomes almost impossible to discern between a dream and its game mechanics

These were some of the finest five hours I’ve ever spent within a game. I could easily write a great deal more about it but I want you to experience it in all its glory. The astonishing visuals were like a drug, I couldn’t stop thinking about it and wanting to get back to playing more. I’m thankful there are still collectables, 28 in all, called ‘mementos’ that I haven’t found so I can return to the game. I’m even tempted to purchase GRIS for the Nintendo Switch so I can play on the go and experience it on my large television screen and showcase its wondrous beauty to my friends and family.

GRIS is a magnificent game which highlights the positive and negative sides of the human thinking process. It deals with depressive thoughts and miseries which shackle people and refrain them from carrying on with life.

After Journey and Abzu, Gris is another extraordinary trip into a fascinating virtual world, which will stay in your head long after the finale - and, unlike the other two, also has playful qualities. Congratulations to Nomada Studio on this great debut project and a worthy end to the game year! Gris takes us on a four-hour emotional journey into a magical world whose colours, images and sounds hypnotize - and which, in addition to its audiovisual attractions, can also entertain us with interesting puzzles and games.

GRIS is a mind-blowingly fantastic combination of art and video games. It doesn't have lots of gameplay time; but in return, and through its incredible combination of visuals, music, and storytelling, it features one of the most beautiful, memorable, and emotional experiences ever delivered in a video game
