Team Sonic Racing Reviews
When it comes to the nitty gritty of it all, Team Sonic Racing might not be the strongest, most innovative racer out there, but fans of Sega’s previous karting games as well as fans of Sonic will definitely find something to enjoy.
It's no Sonic R, that's for sure, but it's certainly a great racing game. The new mechanics are fun to use, and the story mode feels more compelling for single-player than the Career modes did in the All-Stars games.
Team Sonic Racing has just enough characters that you unlock naturally through the game on enjoyable and vibrant tracks, while a good soundtrack plays in the background. Besides, while there is a bit of rubberband AI, it’s not nearly as bad as in the Mario sports titles. So, if you’re looking for a fun and enjoyable kart racer, you could do a lot worse than picking up Team Sonic Racing.
Fast arcade racing with Sonic and his friends. You have to race together and work as a team. There should be more game modes but it is still funny ride.

Overall, Team Sonic Racing is a fun and inventive racing game that puts a nice spin on it with focus on team cooperation. Cooperate with your teammates, blaze through the tracks, and work together to gear up and speed up.
In fact, if you feel like you just can't wait anymore for the next Mario Kart game, then you might as well give this little gem a spin.
Sumo Digital has delivered a solid Kart racing game based on the Sonic brand. They have succeeded in creating a sense of speed with the races, providing a good amount of content for replay value, and an entertaining track design encouraging you to explore every corner for secrets.
Team Sonic Racing is a fun kart racer that stands on its own thanks to creative and well made team mechanics. Sadly the game is far from perfect and a poor track design prevents it from becoming one of the best in the genre.

When considered as a separate and new title on its own, Team Sonic Racing is a really fun game with well-thought team mechanics; despite having some problems. But when compared to previous Sumo Digital racers, it does not have the same amount of charm and polish those games had. Therefore, those who play this game expecting it to be another All-Stars racing will be disappointed

Team Sonic Racing offers a hopeful glimpse at how compelling a team-based kart racer can be. However, inadequate AI, limited loot box progression, and a poorly-polished multiplayer suite make this seem more like a stepping stone that'll hopefully lead to something more well-realized.
In one word, Team Sonic Racing is an “enjoyable” Kart Racing game. The focus on team racing changed the gameplay in a good way and gives additional depth to the game. Team Sonic Racing is not a revolutionary Kart Racing game but it can surely entertain fans for hours as a valuable game.

Team Sonic Racing is a fun kart game. There are different modes, it has interesting team mechanics and its gameplay is enjoyable. However, because of the team system, it can be frustrating in many cases to depend on the CPU if you do not have friends.

Team Sonic Racing is the perfect addition to the Switch's kart racing lineup. It's a fast and exciting roller coaster of a racer with the style and spunk you'd expect from the Sonic series. While it doesn't perform on the Switch as well as on other consoles, that doesn't change the fun of speeding through this iconic universe.
Team Sonic Racing is a decent kart racing game.
A great arcade racing game. Unfortunately, it's not better than Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed, despite some original ideas.

All in all, Team Sonic Racing is a good, but not exceptional, kart racer. It fails to meet the heights set by its predecessor, but it's still quick, peppy and a delight to play. If you're a fan of the characters or kart racers in general, Team Sonic Racing is absolutely worth a shot. Most of its flaws are nitpicks or easily overlooked, and it's hard to dislike such a charming game. Now if only we could only get some non-Sonic characters next time….
Team Sonic Racing ends up in the middle of the table when compared to its competition, and while it suffers from some serious technical issues, it still manages to entertain due to its diverse gameplay and different multiplayer modes.

Team Sonic Racing feels like a major step back after the brilliant Transformed, even though it is a solid experience. overall, this game can't be seen as a valid competitor for a game like Mario Kart 8.

While this racer is passable to some extent, its problems will make fans yearn for a true sequel to Sonic & Sega All-Stars Racing Transformed. Here’s hoping that Sumo Digital makes it way back to what worked so well in the first place.
It might not top the previous entry overall, but it still manages to nail all the essentials with tight handling, beautifully varied tracks and a plethora of modes, and the team aspect of this entry is a welcome change, if not a totally flawless one.
