God Eater 3's gameplay has some hits and misses, but the overall experience proves to be a solid one. Anyone who likes Monster Hunter should certainly give this one a whirl.
While there are a lot of standard features for its genre, God Eater 3 is far from standard. Where once this was one of the genre's pretenders, sitting quietly on handheld consoles and developing a small, but dedicated audience, it now looks like Bandai Namco has a series that belongs with Toukiden and Monster Hunter at the very front of the stage.
God Eater 3 is a blast. It has all the charisma of an action-packed anime and the gameplay that we all know and love. It is a great restart of the series, which proves that this franchise could work very well on home consoles, maybe even better than its portable predecessors.

God Eater 3 is easily the best entry in Bandai Namco’s monster hunting franchise.
God Eater 3's core gameplay is spot-on for exciting combat yet its missions are too one-note for it to remain engaging for more than a few hours.
God Eater 3 provides a fun and addicting action RPG set in a post apocalyptic world with a constant looming threat. I enjoyed constantly tweaking my character and crafting bigger and better gear to take out the next Aragami boss. While I do wish the game was more consistent visually and did find the core structure of the game becoming quite repetitive as I went on, the character driven story was interesting and drove me to continue pushing through missions. If you’re a fan of the monster hunting genre and are looking to jump into a game that is fun even with some flaws I think you’ll enjoy God Eater 3.
God Eater 3 does a lot of things right, but misses marks as is goes along. Youu have a lot of options and skills and the battles you fight against huge monsters are epic. But there are only a few of these monsters.

I’m a hungry, hungry God Eater. But does this giant monster-brawling, action RPG deliver a hearty experience, or will it leave your stomach grumbling…?
God Eater 3 may have nagging control issues and be a bit rough introducing the story but those looking for the same fast-paced combat against monstrous foes will be delighted to find that this game once again excels in that regard.
On the other hand, due to the less interesting plot and consequently the difficulty that may exist in creating a bond of the player with the characters, it can feel cold and distant.

Yes, it’s a re-release of a title that has been on the market for months now, but for hardcore fans who are looking for the grind-on-the-go, this is it. This is the one. I can definitely say that my hours with this title are not over just yet, and will probably be looking to hit completion on a game for the first time since Persona 5. God Eater 3, is incredible.
God Eater 3 is a truly evolved and enlarged version of the previous Game. The fascinating story and storytelling, well-crafted gameplay and enjoyable campaigns, along with good and satisfying visual effects, have provided fans of the genre with an action title that is a great leap forward for the series.

By no means God Eater 3 is a bad game. Unfortunately after God Eater 2, the sequel can feel like more of the same and doesn't bring new ideas to the table. Also the game under uses some of their most interesting antagonists and in a way can definitely hurt the rhythm of the main story.

Even if it can get a bit repetitive, God Eater 3 is creative action RPG that is perfectly at home on the Nintendo Switch. The premise is an interesting evolution for the series, the downtrodden characters are easy to sympathize with, and the combat is both fun and rewarding in short bursts.
In general, God Eater 3 as a game, apart from its performance on other platforms, does its job very well and because of its structure-based quest system is very responsive on Nintendo Switch. Of course, you have to get used to its visual downsides in action, compared to the other versions.

God Eater 3’s approach of simply offering more of the same without doing anything to expand on what made it such a strong challenger is a disappointment. It still has its positives, but they’ve all been seen before.
The more you experience, the easier it gets, but it'd be easy to be turned off by the wealth of menus - although thankfully the game does try to unlock each portion at a time which is most welcome.
God Eater 3 is a solid party-based monster-slaying RPG, with tons of riveting action, customisation options (though a little overwhelming at times) and overall a smooth gameplay experience.
The God Eater franchise makes the jump to consoles, streamlining the experience in many ways and adding online play, but hanging onto its roots in portable play holds it back from being the all-star in its genre.
God Eater 3 might not be perfect game, but you can bet it's a fun game to jump into if you're just looking to smash some monsters’ faces in with a really big sword.
