Wastelands seemed slow-paced and filled with boring pointless chores. However, Dontnod captured the bumps in Diaz brothers relationship pretty well and in a mature manner.

Life Is Strange 2: Wastelands is an unsuccessful attempt to create a rebellious product. Characters are badly written and a story is boring. And that's the worst verdict for a modern interactive adventure.

This third episode is as contemporary and fresh as the first one, Roads, and also as heartfelt and subtle as the second, Rules.

Wastelands go to a different place. Instead of being a episode about the brothers vs. The World, this episode is about the brothers themselves. We delve deeper into their relationship and see the conflict both have related to their age and interests.

Life is Strange 2: Episode 3: Wastelands provides some much-needed breathing room for Sean and Daniel, allowing them to unwind and relax a little. The result is the tightest, most rewarding episode yet with a top-notch cliffhanger.

While Wastelands improves on episode two for the most part there's still a long way to go to hit the heights of season one.

Life Is Strange 2 Episode 3: Wastelands is the weakest and shortest installment of the game so far. The dialogue-heavy episode starts slow but finishes strong and sets up a new obstacle for Sean and Daniel with a real cliffhanger of an ending.

This is the weakest episode of Life is Strange 2 so far, but that doesn't make it a bad one. DONTNOD has decided to tackle a number of brave, progressive themes and explores more of the characters I've come to love.

Wastelands' thrilling finale means it's a step up from Rules, but it makes a few missteps in its handling of the brothers' relationship to get there.

The third episode of Life is Strange 2 doesn't really nail its emotional beats but sets up for what's bound to be an exciting next episode.

By choosing to flesh out the supporting cast, Life is Strange 2 reaches a new high with the release of Wastelands. It's an emotionally intense episode that both builds and destroys the bonds Sean has worked so hard to forge.

Wastelands dishes out some of Life Is Strange 2’s strongest moments as well as its weakest. Sean gets some welcome character development and the darker tone fits well, however, Daniel’s repetitive plot arc simplifies him into a whiny brat, and a series of scattershot sub-plots seriously bloat the story. A strong finale does set up a dramatic hurdle in the brothers’ road, but Life Is Strange 2 still has a lot of catching up to do if it wants to match the quality of its predecessor.

The third episode of Life is Strange 2 delivers a constant sense of tension while focusing on the characters. The choices you have make however feel forced upon you. It's a bit weird since this episode lets you breath and delivers some depth.

A bit different from the previous episodes in terms of tone, Wasteland is a very pleasant crossroad for Life is Strange 2, with some very interesting characters, a good evolution of Sean and Daniel's relationship, heartbreaking choices to make and a shocking ending that promises a lot for what's coming next.

Life is Strange 2 - Episode 3 continues to impress in terms of soundtrack, setting and character development. It's not as fast paced as the others in this series, but it works perfectly for the emotional narrative underpinning the overall journey.
