Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch Remastered Reviews
Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch Remastered is an spectacular experience. With a thrilling narrative, solid gameplay, uniquely sensitive artistic composition and sweeping symbolic depth, it is one of the most important titles in video games history, though it may not necessarily please all types of players. However, the remastered version might not be enough for players who already know it to re-invest in the title

Ni No Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch Remastered on the Switch is a great port of a very good JRPG. Its stellar presentation and unique mix of known JRPG systems make it an engrossing experience that every fan of the genre should experience at least once. It isn't perfect, with some frustrations around its combat system and AI, but that doesn't detract from everything else it does as well or better than many other JRPGs in recent memory. If you have a Switch and are intrigued by Ni No Kuni, you cannot go wrong with this game.

Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch is a game good for dozens of hours of gameplay, and while it’s not an original property for Switch, it is a really glorious addition to the system’s library. Players who enjoy JRPGs with lots of style and even more heart will find this to be well worth the purchase. Highly recommended.
Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch will always be one of the best JRPGs ever.
Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch is a lovely RPG that excels at drawing you into a well designed world with pretty visuals and some really well written lore. The gameplay is something of a hodgepodge affair, mashing together chunks from every other JRPG into its own clunky system that’s just unique enough to keep you engaged throughout. Ultimately, the fun story, well-voiced characters and Studio Ghibli visuals weren’t quite enough to overcome the repetitive and oft-frustrating combat for me, though there’s plenty here to recommend for established JRPG fans.
The original Ni No Kuni was one of my favourite JRPG titles of all time. So I was so glad to see it available again on modern systems looking better than ever. If you enjoy engaging, character driven JRPG’s or the worlds created by Studio Ghibli you’re going to love this.
Ni No Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch is a modern classic in all the right ways. A great story, beautiful music, great combat and wonderful characters make this a RPG everyone needs to play.

Ni No Kuni embodies every child’s dream of becoming the hero – or heroine – of their own fantasy tale, but spins it in such a way that is inviting to even the most seasoned of adventurers.
While the game does feature slightly improved visuals in terms of world map details and performance and better resolution support, everything else stayed pretty much the same. Audio received no touch-ups at all. A decent remaster of an amazing game.
Although the port does not bring graphic improvements as in the PS4 and PC versions, Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch has an impressive art direction and rich in details. The RPG gives the feeling of playing a Studio Ghibli movie, with very unique and charismatic characters, a striking soundtrack and an epic story. Ni no Kuni is a must-have game for RPG and animation lovers from one of the largest and most acclaimed Japanese animation studios.

We are dealing with a decaffeinated edition that does not bring anything new to the original PlayStation 3 game, but for those who haven't played it yet, it undoubtedly gives you an opportunity to do it in an indisputable quality that will sometimes make you think that you are watching classical animation instead of a game.

In closing, I thought this nifty port was a tidy addition to the Ni No Kuni family, and I’m delighted I played it.
It’s lush environments, along with it’s impactful offsets that will make your jaw hit the floor. It’s story that will absolutely tug at your heart strings, not going to lie… cried a little playing this again. It’s inspiring, it’s daring, it’s courageous, and completely captivating. Ni No Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch is one of the best JPRG’s ever.
Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch Remastered is literally a magical game. This game can easily soothe your soul and tell you a sweet and dreamy story in this crowded, conflicted world easier than you might think. That being said, it may be a little difficult to come to terms with the gameplay after experiencing the second version of Ni Nu Kuni, especially the first version of the combat system, but sooner than you think you will cope with all of this and understand the essence of the game. Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch Remastered game experience is a must for all Japanese role-playing lovers, even if you've experienced the original version in years.

Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch is a masterpiece JRPG-genre. I used to look a bit envious at Playstation 3 owners because of this title, and I'm glad I finally caught up with the game in 4K. Disappointing, however, is the lack of new additions to the remaster. New content, extras or gameplay improvements, such as more monsters or a New Game+ mode, could have convinced owners of the original to buy the remastered Version. The new version is a recommendation for all latecomers and seemingly the version to choose if you are new to the saga. Personally, I had about 60 great hours with this really beautiful game, and I am motivated to start all over, to let the unique atmosphere of the game affect me again. If you are interested in the anime of Studio Ghibli or Japanese role-playing games, Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch is an absolute must buy.

Blending the best elements of Final Fantasy, anime and Pokemon, Ni No Kuni’s arrival on the PlayStation 3 was met with critical acclaim when it dropped back in 2011. The game was certainly not without its issues though but this 50+ hour adventure was well written, well paced and incredibly fun to play. Returning to the current generation of consoles, Ni No Kuni: Wrath Of The White Witch adds updated graphics and a smoother frame-rate but gameplay-wise remains the exact same game that launched all those years ago.
With a solid story and an amazing, beautiful world to explore, the White Witch on Switch is a port that many JRPG fans will enjoy, especially those like me who are getting to play this for the first time.
