F1 2020 improves directly on the previous Formula 1 game from Codemasters. With MyTeam the developer has created the most complete career mode so far. The AI is also much more intense to fight in battles on track, which keeps single-player races interesting. Furthermore, with the casual mode, Codemasters have implemented every beginning driver can enjoy the F1 experience.

Writing a conclusion for the Formula One game is always difficult as the core concept of the game hardly changes from year to year, but this year's effort has undoubtedly taken a big step forward. The ability to make and manage your own F1 team is something which racing fans can only dream of, and the way Codemasters has achieved this with F1 2020 is remarkable. The way it gradually grows over time like a carefully-watered plant, without overwhelming players with high-level F1 politics (crucially not making it too mundane, either) makes the entire experience very rewarding.

The novelties of F1 2020 are certainly more interesting than those seen in the previous version.

If you're an F1 fan, a racing fan or just a slightly interested outsider, make sure that F1 2020 by Codemasters is in your rotation. The racing genre has a strong presence in this year's summer and fall lineup, and with the addition of F1 2020, it just got even stronger.

F1 2020 is promising to be a huge leap forward from the 2019 version of the game, in its variety of gameplay, car dynamics and immersion. The new My Team career is brilliant and historical cars are always fun to experience.

F1 2020 is the same experience we saw last year and the year before in terms of gameplay, graphics and the general atmosphere of the world of Formula 1, but this version shines with the “deepest” My Team mode in the history of the series, as well as the return of the split screen feature with many cars and tracks too.

This entire game just reeks of quality, and can be exactly the type of racing game you want it to be. The new My Team mode will keep you busy for hours upon hours, but the management aspect does require more of an acquired taste.

While I do not think the game does enough to celebrate Formula 1's 70th anniversary, the rest of the elements, the actual important parts to represent the motorsport, are rather excellent and the added assists means anyone can pick up a controller and play.

All in all I have to say once I got out my gamepad this game became a blast to play. Codemasters did one hell of a job giving a sense of speed and realism when playing this game.

In a year where F1 is doomed to be reduced to a mere husk of what it used to be back in the day, F1 2020 is here to remind us of how exciting this sport can actually be. This is Codemasters’ most impressive game to date and I have no idea of how they’ll be able to surpass my expectations in 2021.

Seasoned veterans will take to this like a duck to water, but that shouldn’t put a novice off. Hell, if I can enjoy it, then so can you.

F1 2020 manages to bring enough content with its new "My team" proposals which add yet another interesting layer to an already excellent base. We still regret the redundant side of the pre-race training programs (not enough variety), but it is ultimately the lot of Formula One that does not reinvent itself every day either. If you love F1 and want to enjoy it virtually, F1 2020 is the best and it is not because it is the only one.

This year's edition might be iterative on the track, but the off-track improvements show that Codemasters hasn't yet run out of ideas yet either.

Easily the best F1 game ever made, rammed full of content that reads like the fans' wish list. Edge of the seat racing backed up by a hearty team management sim, split screen racing and audio and visuals which are edging ever closer to perfection.
