While Sony's poor regional pricing and its decision to delist the game from countries without a PSN presence warrant criticism, the excellent work done by Nixxes on Ghost of Tsushima's PC port should not be neglected. Ghost of Tsushima: Director's Cut is a great port of an entertaining open-world title.

Sony’s new policy on bringing their big console releases to PC had a shaky start, given how much flak they got as to Days Gone’s initial release on Steam – which I personally did not have any problems with – but with each new release, they’ve gotten better and better, and for a while now their ports have been downright excellent. If you have yet to experience Ghost of Tsushima and are looking to do so on PC, there’s absolutely no reason not to do it, even more so if you have a good machine to run it on.

Sucker Punch have sent the PS4 off with a bang with Ghost of Tsushima. They’ve shown again they are the masters of open world and quest design, further pushing the things they nailed in the Infamous franchise to deliver a game that is just so fun and satisfying to play. With open world games being more prominent than ever, I can definitely see other developers adapting aspects in their game’s going forward when it comes to HUD’s and world design. Sucker Punch have proved again what they can do with Sony’s hardware and I truly hope it’s not another 5 years until we get to see what they’re cooking up for the PS5.

But that solution is an easy one given the depth of exploration and combat mastery offered. Whether you want to just fight to grow your legend, see your companions' tales through to their emotional conclusions, or just see what's over the next hill, there's no wrong answer when you're asking yourself what you should be doing in Ghost of Tsushima.

Ghost of Tsushima is undoubtedly poetic in its beauty and respect for the culture from which it takes shape, elevating it beyond all expectations.

Ghost of Tsushima is a sprawling, epic adventure with some flaws, but these take nothing away from the overall power of the game. It has an emotional, powerful story with a complex central hero and fabulously written side characters, a brilliant combat system that is as fun to get to grips with as it is once you’ve mastered it, and a stunning open world to explore on horseback with something to do around every corner. There is so much to do on the island of Tsushima that it can seem like completing it for completion’s sake, and the mission types are repetitive but, mercifully, the game is so endlessly fun that I didn’t care. The highs of this game are astronomical, with the story ramping up steadily throughout each act resulting in wildly exciting sequences and shocking character moments both in the main story and in the side quests. If not for the existence of The Last of Us Part II, Ghost of Tsushima would be my Game of the Year. As it is, it’s a worthy addition to the packed PS4 exclusives library and Lord Jin Sakai fits right in among Sony’s vast lineup of memorable main characters. Ghost of Tsushima waves goodbye to the PS4 generation in sumptuous style.

Ghost of Tsushima snared me so totally that I need to complete everything. It’s an enjoyment to play and a pleasure to view.

Now that I’ve had a moment to catch my breath and collect myself, what I’m about to say will hardly come as a surprise to anyone. Get Ghost of Tsushima now, if you haven’t, and play it immediately if it’s on your backlog. It just holds up against the stiffest of competition in the PS4 generation of games, and may even exceed them by a hair. For now, I will be quietly praying for a sequel to Ghost of Tsushima.

If you are interested in pleasant gameplay, which in many moments is close to the new installments of the Assassin's Creed series and you are turned on by the atmosphere of feudal Japan, the production of Sucker Punch should not disappoint you.

Sucker Punch has the honor of bringing us the last PS4 exclusive with Ghost of Tsushima. The game delivers an immense adventure of more than 30 hours, based on a true war. The battles, the environment, the animation, all look amazing. Still, it misses an original touch in its gameplay. Next to that, the battles tend to be the same once you get the hang of the stances.

Ultimately, Ghost of Tsushima is the closest I’ve come to feeling like I was the hero of a film from the Golden Age Of Samurai Cinema. It was rewarding, fun to play, thoughtful and just a unique experience I’m glad I had the opportunity to enjoy – and if you like samurai adventures or open world games, you’ll want to experience Ghost of Tsushima too.

The game feels ‘complete’ to be appointed as one of the best open world environment games. With impressive visuals and audio, the combat system, exploration, responsive controls and swift loading times are all something gamers love and adore. The game can be played as chill and laid back with collective elements, as well as rough and action based with its vast difficulties in combat. The game can be well renowned as one of the main faces of all major PS4 titles.

This isn't going to be a new game for most, but Ghost of Tsushima is the best checkbox open-world game to-date. While it struggles with some story issues, the combat, world, activities, and characters are incredible, and this game's beauty is like no other.

Ghost of Tsushima was my personal Game of the Year. Whilst it is not necessarily a ground-breaking, revolutionary title(nor does it need to be), it just is very, very, very, very, good. And, I reckon most of you out there will agree.

Sucker Punch did a majestic job: The Tsushima Isle is wonderful and we enjoy travelling into it. Despite some questionable game design choices, Ghost of Tsushima is a good adventure that offers wonderful landscapes.

Ghost of Tsushima is a once-in-a-console generation type of game. There aren’t many we could say the same thing about in the same sentence. Red Dead Redemption 2? Sure. The Witcher 3. Absolutely. Breath of the Wild? Yes. But Ghost of Tsushima easily stands amongst the heaviest hitters to release over the course of the last seven years. With plans to expand the game further as we’ve seen in the weeks since release, including a multiplayer component titled Legends arriving later this Fall, Sucker Punch is clearly committed to seeing this new IP thrive and prosper. And that, my friends, brings a huge, cheesy grin to my face.

Set on the small island of Tsushima just off the coast of mainland Japan in 1274, the game starts with the army of Tsushima charging the beaches to battle the 30,000 strong Mongolian invaders that have come to conquer their land. As you may have guessed this does not go to plan as the army of Tsushima is defeated with ease, and the Japanese ruler Lord Shimura is captured by Khotun Khan, a successful general and descendent of the legendary Genghis Khan.

Tradition, pride, honor. The game starts with this words and is clear their matrix: not the historically accurate Samurai, but the Kurosawa's ones. Kurosawa ispired the western genre and so it's fair that the Far West came back to East.

Ghost of Tsushima might just be one of the best games I have ever played. In a similar way to when I got stuck in to God of War or Horizon: Zero Dawn, I found myself asking why I waited so long to get it.
