he business model of Dota 2 makes it the best MOBA option out there, and there's never been a better time to get involved than right now, with the New Player Experience and influx of fresh blood.

Dota 2 is an ocean-deep pool of rewarding nuance and strategy, but it will drown newcomers.

Gaming’s ultimate eSport gets a well-considered makeover by the masters at Valve, although new ideas, and fixes for old problems, are currently thin on the ground.

Valve did an incredible job expanding Dota into e-sports and providing an excellent online backend for matchmaking, ranking, and all kinds of tracking. The design itself retains all of its shining genius and maddening flaws

Dota 2 is complicated, exhausting, and sometimes cruel, but its many complexities form an incredibly satisfying and exciting multiplayer game.

It is frequently a game which occupies two opposite spaces simultaneously. It is the best game. It is also the worst game. No game has ever made me as miserable as Dota 2 has. But no game has made me feel so consistently rewarded for my time, and as consistently, wonderfully connected to the friends I play it with.

A great PvP game that offers some of the most intriguing and nuanced team combat around. As with all multiplayer games, sometimes the enjoyment can be marred by less considerate players, but when everyone is giving it their all, DOTA 2 is intense, challenging, and hugely enjoyable.

With zero cost to play and one of the highest skill ceilings of any game I've ever encountered, Dota 2 is a modern multiplayer masterpiece.

As a free-to-play title readily available on Steam, it offers players a frictionless doorway - but the challenge may be keeping new players interested and willing to commit to the epic journey that is learning, playing, and enjoying Dota 2.

Unfortunately, its complexity does not suit casual players, playing Dota 2 is not like riding a bike, you quickly forget how to play, and although the match-making system makes us generally play with users of our level, the less assiduous could be discouraged and lose interest in the medium-long term, while all those who will be captured by the endless range of possibilities and combinations offered, they will have fun for a long, long time.

Dota 2 has been available for free for everyone for two weeks already and remains firmly at the top of the list of the most played titles on Steam. You have no excuse then: download it and try it because, even if it will not be to your taste, we are faced with a real mass phenomenon in the video game field and the most successful example currently of truly Free to Play model, where skill is the only thing that matters despite the internal market of buyable objects, which never go to affect the painsty balance of such complex gameplay.

Dota 2 is a beast that under the guise of simple entertainment hides one of the most extensive and deep team productions in the world. And for this it is completely free.

Dota 2 isn’t for the faint of heart. It isn’t for everyone. But if you play MOBAs, then it is for you. This is the game in the genre you need to play. If you don’t believe me, then consider this: There’s a reason why the community has crowd-funded a total of $900,000-plus to the prize pool for The International 3.

Dota 2 has proven itself unshakable in the face of father time. Being originally released in 2005, we can see without a doubt that its foundation has not even begun to crumble. Instead, we have seen nothing but a steady incline of players over 10 years. While this has the capability of creating something of a toxic community, some may prefer saturation over comfort to provide an on-going dynamic experience in difficulty.

Dota 2 has its claws dug well and truly deep within me... I have a hard time imagining anything due for release in the next few years will eclipse Dota 2 in my mind's eye.
