World of Tanks Reviews
The game is progressing well and constantly seeing new maps and new tanks added, with a whole slew of French units soon to be released.
World of Tanks might have a silly name, but it does something impressive. It manages to straddle pure tank simulation and shooter action to produce something that, despite being flawed, remains genuinely fun.
When it comes to blowing up military monstrosities, no game does it better than World of Tanks.
If the game’s concept has ever intrigued you, give it a download — it’s excellent and something all shooter fans should try out.
Wargaming’s flagship remains a great game that frequently gets in the way of itself.
World of Tanks Blitz takes the core gameplay of its full-fat forebearers and translates it fairly successfully to Nintendo's hybrid platform. This one's not going to win any beauty pageants, it's highly repetitive, there are some balancing issues and a pretty essential comms system is MIA but, overall, there's still a decent game to get to grips with here – especially if you like tanks, which, as we've already established, everybody does. With a huge number of tanks, countless upgrades and none of the absolute essentials hidden behind the game's premium paywall, there's literally hundreds of hours of tank-blasting action to indulge in that's well worth checking out for the princely sum of zero.
With new content coming out on a regular basis, I foresee myself being a tank jockey for a long time!
World of Tanks won't ever be more than a quick detour on the way to something that's easier to comprehend.
Whilst World of Tanks might not be everyone, the title is flawless in its execution.
The fighting, all live online, is generally fast, furious and terrific fun and while some of the early vehicles available represent clunky first world war relics, after levelling-up better models become available for purchase having acquired the necessary experience points and in-game currency.
World of Tanks stands out from the majority of free-to-play games by being tactically deep and generally quite different to the norm. There's nothing new for existing players, and there's a lack of game modes that could impair the longevity of your time with it, but World of Tanks is a fine blend of simulation and competitive multiplayer that's well worth checking out.
If you're looking for a complicated game that will take a lot of time to master, then look no further, but if it's a pick-up-and-play shooter that you desire, then World of Tanks isn't Reich for you.
A compelling, deep and addictive experience that you might not begrudge dropping a few quid on premium currency, and even if you do, you have nothing to lose by taking it for a spin across some crater-filled battlefields.
It’s fun, it’s fairly easy to play, and it draws you back with a need to get better, and better.
World of Tanks is insanely detailed and has combat that takes a while to get used to.
At the end of the day, you know exactly what you are going to get from a F2P title like World of Tanks: Blitz. Micro-transactions are never welcome, but a necessary evil in this market, and graphics are of a mobile standard, with everything other than the pretty accurate recreations of the vehicles themselves, and all operate with as much heft and weight as expected. Great if you are a tank enthusiast, but for everyone else moving a sluggish brick around a low textured map can get tiresome quickly. This is countered by the length of matches being short enough that a quick tactical battle can be done while waiting for the kettle to boil, and dived into if something a bit more spectacular is installing. Newcomers are going to enjoy the pick-and-play factor. Stalwarts are going to make the most of cross-save and cross play to add a few more layers and months to their experience. It'll stay on the system, but only likely revisited when frustration kicks in from major titles and taking it out on any poor soul that dared to challenge a Switch owner with a Pro Controller.
World of Tanks Blitz got released on Nintendo Switch with full crossplaform support and some interesting additional features.

World of Tanks is an entertaining and enjoyable tactical shooter with a surprising amount of depth. If you're not prepared to pony up some cash, it does become a grind eventually – but if you reach that point and you still want to play, spending some money is very likely a worthwhile investment.
