If you're a fan of puzzle and adventure titles like the Broken Sword series, as well as more intimate character focused experiences that derive a lot of its influence from cultural folklore, such as the aforementioned Never Alone, then Röki is more than deserving of your time. It's not the longest experience but is engaging throughout and spins a yarn that is honestly one of the more emotionally affecting I've experienced this year.

Röki is a heartfelt and heartwarming tale of siblings lost somewhere in the mystical cold of Scandanavia. It is an adventure game that both breaks down barriers and pushes to new heights. It is gorgeous to look at and listen to, and charming all the way through.

Overall Röki is a thoroughly modern take on the Point and Click genre, adding the ability to highlight intractable objects really gives anyone the ability to play and enjoy this game. The Story is simple enough to understand but you are given multiple threads which especially for older players gives us a more deep and profound take on life and family.

Röki is a beautiful tale of love, loss and friendship, taking the player on an emotional journey through a fairytale forest inspired by Scandinavian folklore. If you enjoy challenging puzzles, engaging narratives and collectible-hunting, this is the game for you - but do be warned that the ending may leave you feeling a little underwhelmed.

Röki tells a compelling story about what remains of an unfortunate family using a typical dark fairy tale tone. It is a classic adventure game with a modern twist and an amazing art design.

Despite offering an original tale presented in a loveable aesthetic, Röki is held back by its core gameplay mechanism.

A debut game that sets a high standard moving forward for Polygon Treehouse. Truly fitting their mission statement of creating "adventures to feed your soul", Röki is excellent.

Completionists have dozens of collectables to find and badges to unlock, and the subtle background music evokes the feeling of traipsing through a wintery forest. Even though some of the character designs are a little off-putting, the overall art style is quite attractive. Despite not really bringing anything new to the table, Röki provides a solid puzzle-adventure experience that only drags a little towards the end.

Röki has some good features and interesting ideas, but I didn't see anything groundbreaking.

As an adventure game Roki doesn't have much replayability values, and some modern gamers might ignore it due to its 20$ price tag, but if you are willing to spend around 10 hours solving puzzles and stuff, Roki is probably a very good option for you.

Röki is a lovely game with strong characters and a fun, whimsical story. It shakes up its genres enough to be unique, but doesn't try to fix what isn't broken, and doesn't push itself past what it sets out to accomplish. Environment and creature designs are superb, while their human counterparts (of which there are very few anyway) leave a little more to be desired. It's a game just about anybody can pick up, play, and be immersed in a world they're likely not too familiar with, unless they grew up with the folklore this draws inspiration from. A few graphical glitches crop up here and there, but otherwise this is a solid and a fun adventure filled with puzzles, action, and intrigue.

If you don't normally play adventure games, Roki is not a bad place to start. It's a beautiful world with a beautiful story. There are some challenges when it comes to staying on track but that can lead to cool discoveries.

Röki is a bit easy and playing it is not entirely satisfying. on the other hand though, this is simply a breathtaking and beautiful journey that point & click lovers will appreciate.

Röki will absorb you into its tale of wonders and mystery and you won’t be able to put the game down until you’ve seen the story come to an end. It’s an enchanting journey that modernises the genre and will go down into history as one of the prime examples of an adventure game done right.

Roki starts off as a straightforward narrative-focused adventure, and while it looks the part, the game is more of a traditional puzzle title, with a few of the typical downfalls of the genre.
