Few of the game's problems would be insurmountable in the face of an engaging narrative.

Röki is a lovely game with strong characters and a fun, whimsical story. It shakes up its genres enough to be unique, but doesn't try to fix what isn't broken, and doesn't push itself past what it sets out to accomplish. Environment and creature designs are superb, while their human counterparts (of which there are very few anyway) leave a little more to be desired. It's a game just about anybody can pick up, play, and be immersed in a world they're likely not too familiar with, unless they grew up with the folklore this draws inspiration from. A few graphical glitches crop up here and there, but otherwise this is a solid and a fun adventure filled with puzzles, action, and intrigue.

Röki’s pleasing aesthetics are well-matched by an absorbing story that always keeps you on your guard.

While Röki doesn't do anything particularly new or interesting, it does present a gorgeous world and introduces those unfamiliar with many myths and legends to learn more about.

Despite offering an original tale presented in a loveable aesthetic, Röki is held back by its core gameplay mechanism.

Röki has some good features and interesting ideas, but I didn't see anything groundbreaking.

Röki is a bit easy and playing it is not entirely satisfying. on the other hand though, this is simply a breathtaking and beautiful journey that point & click lovers will appreciate.

Roki starts off as a straightforward narrative-focused adventure, and while it looks the part, the game is more of a traditional puzzle title, with a few of the typical downfalls of the genre.

Roki is a wonderfully imaginative point and click adventure game. While it doesn’t do anything particularly outstanding that hasn’t been seen before in this genre, it is a tightly written, enjoyable title nonetheless.

Completionists have dozens of collectables to find and badges to unlock, and the subtle background music evokes the feeling of traipsing through a wintery forest. Even though some of the character designs are a little off-putting, the overall art style is quite attractive. Despite not really bringing anything new to the table, Röki provides a solid puzzle-adventure experience that only drags a little towards the end.

Röki tells a compelling story about what remains of an unfortunate family using a typical dark fairy tale tone. It is a classic adventure game with a modern twist and an amazing art design.

Röki is the heartfelt story of a family divided, and a lesson about trust, family, and strength. It preserves the magic and message of the folk tales it draws inspiration from.

Overall Röki is a thoroughly modern take on the Point and Click genre, adding the ability to highlight intractable objects really gives anyone the ability to play and enjoy this game. The Story is simple enough to understand but you are given multiple threads which especially for older players gives us a more deep and profound take on life and family.

Masquerading as simply an adventure game set with Scandinavian folklore in mind, Röki offers so much more and I urge you to give it a shot if this type of game is your bag.

Röki is a classic point & click graphic adventure with some small testimonial improvement, which does not risk playability and puts the meat on the spit of narrative and artistic development. For lovers of the genre it will surely not be a playable challenge but they can still enjoy the fantastic story dotted with elements of Scandinavian folklore as we play Tove on her journey to rescue his brother.

Röki is a lovely game that revolves around rather dark fairy tales. While I got stuck here and there, which frustrated me, I loved the overall presentation of the game. Exploring the world of this game was a delight to me and I never wanted it to end. Each time I managed to figure out what I was supposed to do or solve a puzzle, it felt rewarding to me, especially when the story continued so I finally manage to find out more about Tove and the villain. I absolutely appreciate the theme of this game, that no one is bad per se but they still have their own demons they have to face. That being said, Röki offers a splendid narrative and was hard for me to put down.

As an adventure game Roki doesn't have much replayability values, and some modern gamers might ignore it due to its 20$ price tag, but if you are willing to spend around 10 hours solving puzzles and stuff, Roki is probably a very good option for you.
