A long time ago, when RTS games reached their peak in popularity, this game wouldn’t receive this much attention. But now, Iron Harvest has a chance to become one of the best strategies in years despite copying ideas without providing anything new. Well, maybe the setting is original, but it hasn’t reached its potential either.

Overall, Iron Harvest 1920 is a solid title to buy and play. It is available on PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4 right now for $49.99 USD. It gives you the story of a role-playing game with the fun factor of a AAA RTS title. Once you get past the length of the first few missions and into the meat of the story you will see just how big it can get.
If you love RTS games (and can stand a few movement/AI issues) then this is a great looking, interesting take on the genre. I still love the paintings that inspired the game and the idea of being able to "live in their world" for a while is pretty appealing in and of itself.
What we’re presented with throughout the campaign and as a whole though is as they say, rough around the edges.
Unbelievable campaign coupled with competitive multiplayer make Iron Harvest an old world hit.
One Small Step for RTS
Iron Harvest is a classical RTS game, very insipired by Company of Heroes. It is not a revolutionary game, but the 1920+ universe adds a unique flavour.

Iron Harvest has a unique setting with some original ideas, and borrows heavily from another RTS series. But rather than improve on those elements, it oversimplifies them, and lacks the content to justify its full asking price.
Iron Harvest leverages its unique setting and strong design into an impressive and memorable RTS.
Iron Harvest had the potential to become a very good and original competition for Company of Heroes 2. The game paid the most for its poorly finished start, when nice graphics and original units didn't help it either. Now it is more suitable for players who prefer singleplayer or skirmishes against not very intelligent AI. However, I still recommend that you think carefully about whether this will suit you for the price of €50.

Iron Harvest is a decidedly old-school RTS with some modern trappings, with a bombastic main campaign with a surprisingly well written story.
The great and detailed world of Iron Harvest will surprise you. Both the story and the audio-visuals will keep you entertained, which is what the game does great. Where it falters, however, are the occasional issues with AI and cover system. If you're looking for a nicely made strategy game in today's market, Iron Harvest will definitelly not disappoint you.

Iron Harvest is refreshing enough to feel different, familiar enough to easily get into, and probably the best RTS I’ve played in several years. It does a lot of things really well, is engagingly different, and I’m really looking forward to seeing where the developers take the game next.
A well thought out real time strategy game that has been able to capture the feeling of a post-war dieselpunk reality, sometimes hampered by gameplay mechanics and pacing issues. King Art Games has put out a great strategy games that, with some more budget and time, could’ve been one of the all time greats in the genre. If you like Company of Heroes, or the strategy genre in general, this is a game you should play. And if you like historic punk settings, then I really want to emphasize on how great the atmosphere in this game is. It’s depressing and beautiful. It’s what I want to see from a game set in this genre.
