Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga is a blindingly bright love letter to the entire series with a sheen that's often diminished by its own technical shortcomings.

With a post-game this rich and a roster of characters this bizarre, LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga is the galactic sandbox we've been waiting for. Quirks aside, this game is the one that TT Games were always destined to make, and the benchmark for each of their titles going forward. And if the rumoured LEGO Doctor Who game is actually in the works, and will be following suit, we need not worry, because it'll be in safe hands.

A few annoying issues here and there may tarnish its overall quality a little bit, but boy, did Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga deliver. I was expecting for it to be great, but wasn’t expecting for it to basically rival Super Mario Odyssey in terms of charm and amount of collectibles.

LEGO Star Wars The Skywalker Saga is a massive achievement for a beloved anthology franchise that needed to change. There are so many new welcome additions that I hope become staples for the future. But there are just as equal parts that felt unnecessary. These 3 years since the LEGO games last release and recent revelations were hopefully taken in as a learning experience

The new elements introduced in LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga allow it to renew itself by offering a gameplay capable of satisfying every player, even if it has to deal with the inexplicable absence of online co-op and with some less effective elements. However, these flaws quickly fade into the background, leaving room for the best LEGO video game so far.

Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga kept me hooked with its huge variety of worlds to experience, activities to do, and things to collect. The humor provided plenty of laughs, and there were plenty of in-jokes for franchise fans. It’s a great way to experience Star Wars all over again.

I can say with utter sincerity that LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga is the BEST LEGO game I have ever played. The humour, the sheer amount of things to do, and its relevance to the source material are second to none.

LEGO Star Wars The Skywalker Saga is arguably the most ambitious, and huge, LEGO title ever made by TT Games.

Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga is a triumphant celebration of both Star Wars and Lego games up to this point. It has some bugs and wonky voice acting, but the incredibly expanded gameplay, ridiculous breadth of content, and clear love for Star Wars present in every facet of the game make this a must-play for fans of the franchise or just chill, fun games in general.

Even as somebody who’s bounced off Lego games in the past, I was enthralled by every narrative hook, every blue brick challenge, and every new story quirk. From individual character combat, to the game’s vast locales, and every puzzle that fascinated and challenged me along the way, I was drawn into the game’s funny and weird little stories.

LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga is the next generation LEGO game we’ve been waiting for that overhauls the experience completely while telling the full story of the Star Wars franchise.

Unlike the films that it is based upon, The Skywalker Saga is remarkably steady in quality even if the formulaic approach can start to wear thin after the initial shock of the much-improved core gameplay wears off.

LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga is an incredible achievement. Spanning 9 feature-length films yet never feeling like it overstays its welcome while featuring tons of actually funny stupid jokes, solid gameplay, gorgeous graphics, great voice acting, and all the nostalgia you could ever wish for this game is a triumph. It has done the impossible and made me enjoy spending time with episodes 1 and 2, hell not only enjoy but absolutely love it. Holy Snokes is this game awesome and everyone who enjoys Star Wars at all should play it.

A gaming series as old as LEGO video games has to reshape some of its mechanics to stay relevant. LEGO Star Wars The Skywalker Saga did a formidable with that and therefore has become the new gold standard for all games of its kind. The experience is only troubled by the ubiquitous little puzzle games, which all feel the same and fill the vast space of the galaxy far far away...

LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga is an absolute celebration of a galaxy far, far away. TT Games have been at this one for a long, long time and now we absolutely know why. They’ve made perhaps the most complete, expansive and nerf-herdin’ entertaining Star Wars game there’s ever been. Didn’t think they could pull this off? I find your lack of faith disturbing.

LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga is without a doubt the most ambitious and huge LEGO title ever made by TT Games, a real act of love for those who love the popular Danish bricks and the whole Star Wars movie franchise. Its accessibility, without ever taking itself too seriously, makes it a videogame for everyone, capable of entertaining from the smallest audience to the most adult, confirming an experience for all ages and satisfying for everyone. Warner Bros. has therefore hit the nail on the head, giving us an adventure that is certainly one of the best of this 2022 in terms of quality and content.

LEGO Star Wars The Skywalker Saga is a LEGO game like never before. With beautiful graphics, new controls and an added upgrade system, it exceeds its predecessors by far. It plays smoothly and knows how to amuse both young and old. There is very little to note. A real must have for the LEGO Star Wars fan.

All in all, a solid performance, and I did appreciate the fact that they had some of the iconic lines scattered throughout. I'd almost go as far as to say that LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga could be the best LEGO game I have played so far, and I am pretty keen to see where they will go with some of the other licenses.

LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga is a work of digital art. It transcends any other LEGO title before it, and stands as a testament to what a great LEGO Star Wars game can and should be. From the way it overhauls and remakes the Prequel and Original Trilogies, through to how these additions translate to the brand-new Sequel Trilogy, is nothing short of amazing to see, enjoy and experience. It ultimately sets a very high bar for all LEGO games to come. Especially when the smaller additions, like changes to the traditional camera and level design, truly enhance the overall experience — for this alone, the game is worth picking up. The game’s exceptional quality and gameplay are a pinnacle of the LEGO franchise and platforms alike, and should be experienced by all – whether Star Wars fan, gamer, or both.

Whether you like Star Wars, LEGOs, or video games in general, LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga is a must-play in 2022. There’s an insane amount of content, I can’t emphasize how massive this game is. The puzzles aren’t too difficult to solve, while also not being too easy; I never felt that I was wasting my time playing through a level. And even if you found yourself stuck in an area or just in need of general help with the game, there’s an orange and blue protocol droid named H1-NT that will provide you with helpful information on your journey. The Skywalker Saga also has an extensive skills tree that rivals any action RPG out there. The game mechanics work extremely well, especially when playing flying missions; it’s always a crapshoot when it comes to aerial combat, but operating an X-Wing or the Millennium Falcon in The Skywalker Saga feels amazing. From top to bottom, The Skywalker Saga is a near-perfect game that checks all the boxes for a Star Wars fan and is one of the best games of the year.
