Overall, RIDE 4 was my first attempt at getting my toes wet for motorcycles both in general and racing wise. While excited going into this new world, I found myself uninterested and not entertained. Most racing games really bring me in and keep me there technically. As someone who works with their hands a lot and wants to know how things work/make them go faster, racing games really get me going. Herewith RIDE 4, I didn’t really fill that. It felt lackluster and just kind of plain.

Ride 4 shows a lot of passion for motorsports and the bikes but not for the game itself. A solid technical performance is shattered by a useless AI. Ride 4 might be the best choice for a motorbike simulation on consoles - but just because any competition is missing.

Milestone has made an undeniably solid game in the form of RIDE 4. The physics are mostly improved, though still have issues with collision. The career, while still a little too much of a slog, is far better organised than previous outings. There's a good variety of game modes to play through, giving a lot of replay variety, with the new endurance races being a high point. Some smaller race types, however, are infuriating in their rigidity and inaccessibility. The AI has been improved thanks to the new A.N.N.A. system, but it still isn't the most realistic and you'll find the computer trying to wipe you out for having the temerity of being where they want to be. For every negative, there are at least two positives, making this the most solid of Milestone's outings, I'd recommend it.

RIDE 4 is the best-looking bike-based racing game yet, and the visuals are backed-up by handling and physics that have been noticeably fine-tuned. This is about as good as it gets for those who like donning virtual leather and tearing up a track on just two wheels, providing they’re not too fussed about human competition.

It may have issues, but in RIDE 4, Milestone has finally created the two-wheeled Gran Turismo that fans have always wanted.

With RIDE 4 the virtual centaur goes to heaven. The latest Milestone work is simply what every fan of two wheels and video games needs, the top for rideability, bike park and track selection. The driving pleasure at the center of a project that also technically shows itself in dazzling form, soon becoming a refuge for those who love two wheels. It is therefore a pity that the purchase of new cars depends on advances in a career anchored in classic game design concepts, not to say old, yes fun but penalized by naivety such as too mechanical an AIS and penalties all too severe for trivial errors. Despite these critical issues, we are in front of one of the best courses of the generation, very much cared for in presentation and gameplay. A consecration.

Ride 4 is one of the best motorcycle racing game ever. Visually great and superb in terms of handling, Milestone did a great job delivering a fantastic experience on the track. The career is a little bit underwhelming in terms of design, but the game is still great to play.

Motorcycle fans will gorge themselves on Ride 4's 250+ obsessively detailed motorcycles and one of the best track lists to be found in a modern racing game, but the pizzaz needed to keep playing is sadly missing and the career gameplay can be duller than counting your own eyebrow hairs.

Ride 4 has lots of new modes and content, but the same technical issues with graphics and IA.

Ride 4 does simulation motorcycle racing incredibly well. Its collection of licensed bikes and ways to tweak them is unparalleled. However, basic game modes, rigid progression, dry presentation, and a lack of accessibility for new players stops it from reaching the heights of other sim racers on the market.

Ride 4 is the motorcycle equivalent to Gran Turismo, for better or worse. It features a lot of content, every single kind of motorbike you can imagine, from Harleys to Ducatis, tons of racetracks, and lots of different events to partake in. When it comes to bang for your buck, it sure delivers. But when it comes to being actually fun to play, it misses the mark.

If you are all hot and bothered by the thought of tearing past some United Kingdom pastures at 240+kph on a crotch rocket with the best visuals of any two-wheeled racing game yet, RIDE 4 for PC and next-gen consoles needs to be on your shortlist. While I found the first-person cameras lead me to slower lap times, they were my preferred way to crash the bikes. I’ve still yet to win at the Isle of Man on a modern bike, but hopefully, that time arrives soon. 8/10 Ninja wheelies

Milestone's newest game is as good as Ride 3! There are a lot of good features and elements in Ride 4. Motorcycles models, customization, multiple of vehicles, challenging handling and etc make Ride 4 a good game. With all these good aspects, the game is not perfect yet because of some gameplay and technical issues that may be bother you. By the way if you like to control a motorcycle and race with it, you can enjoy Ride 4 and accept some of its problems.

Milestone brings us Ride 4, an example that motorcycle racing has a lot to give. A simulator with all the letters with a great catalog of motorcycles and an extraordinary visual section.

All in all, RIDE 4 is a jack of all trades, one where, however, neither element shines for originality or extreme polish. The driving model is satifying enough and finds a good balance between arcade and simulation, the customization options are notable, there’s plenty of content both for single player and online modes, and the title looks fairly good too. It does lack a driving factor, a unique aspect that makes RIDE 4 something more than a competent and fun racing game, turning it into an unmissable experience. Fans of the 2-wheel races will certainly find the adrenaline they seek, but those looking for the next big thing or the first taste of next-gen can safely drift somewhere else.

Ride 4 is a truly enjoyable motocross simulation with plenty of unique race types and a wide variety of laps and motorcycles. However, the overall difficulty and autopilot could use some adjustments.

Ride 4 is an incredibly detailed racing game that will have motorcycle enthusiasts very pleased. Not being too interested in motorcycles myself, I’ve enjoyed learning how to race on them in this game. The difficulty of the game despite the racing assists is a bit too high for my liking, and it would have benefited from having some form of tutorial race to practice on before tackling real races. The graphics are extremely impressive and despite the difficulty, I can feel my skills getting better. I just wish I could at least finish the first cup and unlock more of the game.
