Monster Hunter Rise Reviews
Experiencing Monster Hunter for the first time on Switch is an awkward reminder of the limitations of Nintendo’s hybrid console, particularly a few months after the launches of Series X and PS5. Rise often feels like a throwback — and not in a good way.
Despite releasing nearly a year after its Switch counterpart, the PC version of Monster Hunter Rise feels like a minimal improvement. Sure, you can get frame rates in the hundreds and high resolutions, but frequent crashes can reset your settings and cutscenes are still locked at 30. The keyboard and mouse control options are a big boon for accessibility, but the visual improvements here feel so minimal I'll stick to the portable edition.
If you've never tried a Monster Hunter game before, Rise is the right choice to get you started. If you can overlook minor bugs, and the game will reward you with tens of hours of high-quality fun.

I can’t say that I personally view Rise as the ultimate culmination of years of Monster Hunting progress as some reviewers seem to, but if you’ve enjoyed previous hunting outings then you'll absolutely feel right at home here.
Monster Hunter Rise aims at old-school fans, those who were here before Monster Hunter World, and will be sure to enjoy themselves with this more compact entry. But for those who just recently came aboard the franchise, it will feel like a step down.
The new generation port of Monster Hunter Rise is clearly below expectations. In addition to not offering all the content, the improvements are few. The title clearly suffers from its initial release on Switch and it would have been interesting if Capcom had offered a more accomplished version after several years of waiting. Nevertheless, fans of the franchise will find the usual sensations and the encounter of several iconic monsters of the series. It is also possible to play in cooperation with up to 4 players. It should be noted that no cross-platform system has been integrated and you are limited to your friends who are on the same platform. Without much surprise, this PS5 version does not really bring an advantage compared to previous releases despite some successful lighting effects.

Monster Hunter Returns to the Switch with another satisfying entry.
There are still moments where Rise leaves me in awe, like when a player jumps over a barrier I assumed would be blocked by an invisible wall. There is still a thrill in the heat of battle being interrupted by a fight between monsters.
Fighting different beasts is always a blast. However, the time you spend outside of combat pales in comparison to your epic encounters
A vast improvement over Monster Hunter World, but it feels less robust in story content.
If you have never played Monster Hunter Rise, then the PC version is a perfect excuse to jump in. Despite the game not looking much better than Monster Hunter World or worse rather, it is still a solid game that should not be passed up.
Monster Hunter: Rise is a fantastic game that combines deep combat systems with beautiful graphics and smooth performance. The game is a genuine pleasure, and it’s easy to see why the Monster Hunter series has become such a global hit. If you’re a series fan or looking for a new gaming experience, you won’t be disappointed by Monster Hunter: Rise.
Monster Hunter Rise is a perfect fantasy hunting simulator. It's way too niche to recommend to everyone, but if you can fit the target demographic, it will be a straight up hunting paradise for you.

There’s plenty to offer that makes the gameplay loop addicting: tons of weapons to craft, a balanced difficulty curve, and an amazing soundtrack.
If you are a Monster Hunter veteran, I see no reason why you won't love Monster Hunter Rise. The game is basically a refined version of Monster Hunter World with some new gimmicks and a new aesthetic. For those looking to jump into Monster Hunter for the first time, Monster Hunter Rise is still a lot of fun. You won't necessarily understand everything right out of the gate, but you likely will over time as you hunt more and more monsters. All in all, this is a strong action RPG for the Nintendo Switch and has the potential to eat up tons of your time.
Monster Hunter Rise is an enjoyable, well-crafted game with some compelling innovations that make it a wonderful addition to the Monster Hunter franchise.
A fight with two different monsters will never be the same as they each have their own unique behavior and attack patterns that require different approaches. If you love thinking strategically and taking time to prepare, then this game might just be for you! There’s an exciting thrill to fighting larger beasts as you grind your equipment in preparation for the hunt. In this, Rise gets an excellent mark with our full recommendation to buy it.
It may not be a step forward, but it is a very solid and clever addition to the Monster Hunter series, and proof that Capcom really knows what's best for it.

Monster Hunter Rise may be behind some past instalments of the series in levels design and the high-rank content , but the game still brings a high value content that extends to dozens of hours of epic hunts and addictive progression system
