But Nintendo has done another good job here giving players a unique new game that the Switch hasn’t seen before.

Ladies and Gentlemen, it’s here. That’s right, it’s finally arrived. The age old question has finally been answered and what has been delivered to us is a dish best served garnished with garlic. WarioWare: Get it Together! Is finally upon us. I’ve been waiting so long for a Switch WarioWare title that it started to feel like it would never come.

WarioWare: Get It Together! lives from its weird and often amusing micro games. So for a short amount of time the game feels like a collection of amazing ideas with new surprises every time around the corner but the effect wears off after the second and third time playing the same game. The different playable characters offer some fresh takes on some gameplay elements but there could have been a lot more new features after 18 years of waiting.

Get It Together’s attraction is the same as it’s always been for the WarioWare series – personality, replayability and humour – with the added bonus of a strong multiplayer suite.

I don’t remember the last time I have played a game published by a major corporation that felt so soulless like WarioWare: Get It Together. Yes, even by some of the usual suspects. What was once Nintendo’s go-to franchise for zaniness, creativity, and actually taking advantage of every single feature included in a console’s hardware has been reduced to what mostly resembles a lazy and rushed job just to ensure the publisher had something to sell during a particular month.

WarioWare: Get It Together!, the latest Nintendo release, is the return of a beloved franchise. It’s got a lot of personality! It has some new ideas! But it’s polarizing and a little thin.

WarioWare: Get it Together! is a fun, if not somewhat flawed, collection of microgames that tries new things.

All in all, WarioWare: Get It Together! is a great production, another from Nintendo's wide collection, for which it is worth buying a Nintendo Switch console.

WarioWare: Get It Together! is a wonderfully weird yet delightful game about completing micro-games. The character abilities could be better and people's mileage is going to vary heavily, but what is there is unique and a lot of fun to play.

WarioWare: Get It Together! gets a lot of points for reinvigorating the classic formula. Controlling characters in microgames adds a new layer to the gameplay without making the simple goals too convoluted. Unfortunately, the uneven characters and obtuse controls can result in some frustration. The multiplayer offerings are fun when the main games are the focus, but the variety pack doesn’t add much interest despite its namesake. Still, with all the warts, this is still WarioWare, and it’s still as hilarious and fun as it’s always been. Even if it couldn’t get all of its ideas together, it’s still better than having a rotten time.

While WarioWare: Get It Together! does occasionally feel unfair, it’s tempered by the random nature of the game and that each round is only seconds long. The brilliance shines through minor letdowns, between the variety of characters and minigame matchups, additional modes, multiplayer integrated into all areas, and a surprising amount of longevity.

For my money, WarioWare: Get It Together! works as a continuation of the series but doesn’t push it forward in a truly meaningful way. Some of the faults of the previous release are still present, leading me to think they might be here to stay with the current direction. Still, after years of experimentation and a fresher style since Gold, it’s nice to see the team’s still got it where it counts – the microgames, and the weird wonderfulness that Wario and his team can bring.

This game is nice but way too short. It's is fun but too few minigames. It looks like a lot but actually, it is not.

WarioWare: Get It Together! is, without a doubt, one of the best multiplayer titles on Nintendo Switch, with lots of unlockable content and interesting ways to play it. The gameplay decisions, although controversial, manage to deliver extremely simple and fun solutions, further expanding the franchise's audience demographic. For many staunch fans, the game isn't what they expected, but it still manages to deliver a solid WarioWare experience, fun-loving and capable of guaranteeing long nights of laughter, conflict and chaos — for those willing to do so.

A new release that, without being the definitive microgame selector, is a step forward for a franchise that, fortunately, remains in constant evolution without losing its essence.

For those of you who have played a WarioWare title in the past, you will know just how bizarre and whacky, yet fun, they can be. Smooth Moves for the Wii was a well loved game in my household, which took full advantage of the shiny new motion controls. The weirdness of the high speed micro games though leave some a little freaked out however, but you can at least guarantee it’s a unique experience.

Wario Ware: Get It Together takes the traditional humor of the franchise with the option to play with all of the antagonists. Unfortunately, the game offers little variety despite a relatively basic gameplay. Sold at full price, the title remains meager in terms of its content.
