Saints Row Reviews
A poor attempt to bring back the series: the game looks outdated and unfinished. Looks like another reboot is needed.

The 2022 reboot of Saints Row manages to put together a decently engaging crew, but just about everything else is a litany of issues - from shallow and repetitive missions to unsatisfying action mechanics, poor presentation, and plenty of bugs.
Deep Silver Volition has failed miserably to repeat the success of Saints Row Predecessors. Saints Row 2022 at best, is an entertaining experience filled with technical issues, repetitive missions and ample bugs. Should you ignore its issues and problems, you may have a good time playing Saints Row because of its silliness. But please note that Saints Row 2022 is nothing spectacular.

Unambitious, dated, and dreadfully lacking in polish, only series fans eager for more classic Saints gameplay need apply.
Saints Row is glitchy and feels rushed.
Saints Row had a unique opportunity to come back and be a good summer game. Most of the time, its fun, especially in co-op, thanks to his arcade feel and humour But there are too many flaws and way too many bugs to enjoy the title completely. Maybe some updates could fix things but not entirely.

I am extremely sad at this reboot of Saints Row, while I wasn’t a huge fan of the absolute bonkers nature of the 4th entry, even if I did love the 3rd. With this reboot I feel like Volition missed a huge opportunity evolve this series for a new generation, not just of consoles but for gamers. As it stands, this game comes off just feeling like its clinging to the tone and design choices from the 360; even the graphics in this reboot from 2022 feel dated and frankly Johnny Gat deserves better.
Saints Row has its moments, but the game is weighed down by ugly graphics, bad shooting, and a story full of obnoxious characters.
Ultimately the new Saints Row is a disappointment, especially if you’re a fan of the series.
Saints Row has the potential to be a decent video game, but it's so repetitive and filled with so many technical problems that it becomes hard to recommend.

Saints Row is a franchise that has its best days behind it. Consequently, the latest iteration is dull, dated, and lacking oomph. The open world is great, as are the side hustles. However, this doesn't make up for its many shortcomings. Fans of the franchise may overlook the tedium, but I could not.
Volition's reboot mixes its shameless action with witty social commentary to nice effect, but fails to construct a compelling open world
There were high lows and high lows in this quest for Saint Ileso. Not all of it was bad, it is fun yes, be it the bugs in the animations or the chaos that comes from the set of factors I mentioned. An interesting sandbox with little life.

Saints Row provided a fun shooting style, stages with a varied design and full of action and movement. But it failed to deliver a coherent story, with poor technical performance that made her last delay worthless

Saints Row is not the reboot the series needed, significantly limiting the levels of insanity and comedy that are the hallmark of the series, while maintaining a gameplay that is now dated and in need of a serious makeover. This made it a decent but soulless title, definitely forgettable in today's landscape. If you're looking for a not-too-demanding open world it can still wring a few laughs out of you, but at the moment Saints Row smacks too much of a wasted opportunity. The series has great potential, but it needs a real leap forward if it is to have a future.

Ultimately, Saints Row may not be the grand return to the franchise that fans were hoping for, but that doesn't mean it's not worth giving a look. Despite a poorly-paced story with average characters, it still has a ton of content and a sandbox that is ripe for hours of co-op fun.
The biggest issue with the new “Saints Row” isn’t the lack of humor or well written characters, but consistency and a coherent narrative. In some ways, the franchise is too afraid of its past and still struggles to find its footing and look to the future.

Imagine a huge bustling world yours for the taking. Beautiful sandy deserts, towering skyscrapers, endless enemies to kill. Now imagine doing the same things you’ve done in other video games countless times in this beautiful world. That’s Saints Row.
The new Saints Row is exactly what we expect to get from a title in this franchise, the crazy action, the juvenile humor and the abundance of everything purple! Problem is that all of this feels a little stale by today’s standards and considering how out there the two recent games before this were, it all also feels a little dialed back too, which may be disappointing for some of the older fans of the series that wanted to new game to get even more crazy.

Saints Row 2022 is a time capsule of a game and era many have moved past. Instead of building on the legacy of Saints Row, it feels like a tired retread of a game we already have.
