The Quarry is a wild ride. It manages to be a gleeful concoction of horror clichés and a substantial interactive experience. Your choices feel like they matter, as evidenced by the 186 different character endings. And with a gripping story and superb performances, this is one summer stay you won’t forget.

The Quarry sees Supermassive Games back on top form with a spiritual successor to the superlative Until Dawn that comes mighty close to knocking that classic off its lofty perch. There's a fantastic cast of well-observed characters to get to know here, a narrative that packs in several threats and plenty of twists, turns and light-hearted moments to sit alongside its shocks and juicy revelations. With jaw-dropping visuals, a cracking soundtrack and plenty in the way of replayability in order to see every outcome on offer, this is an interactive horror experience that's well worth jumping into.

‎The Quarry pays homage to the slasher genre with more than just a spiritual successor to Until Dawn. The new Supermassive game follows the foundations laid by the 2015 title offering a continuous but equally fun proposal full of familiar faces, gore and shocking moments. An experience that no fan of the genre can miss.‎

A game that starts slowly and ends fast is The Quarry. The story it tells is very beautiful, the acting is very nice, the voice-overs are number ten, but it lags behind other Supermassive Games games in terms of gameplay elements.

The Quarry is a masterpiece and if you love film productions, filled with important and minor choices, do not waste time on subsequent reviews, but move as soon as possible to the title quarry. You will not regret it.

The Quarry is trying to be a better until dawn and in some ways it is. It's an intense cinematic horror experience with gorgeous graphics and a great cast of actors and definitely worth playing but the slow and inconsistent story telling, cringey dialogue writing and limited gameplay interaction compare to until down, holds this game back from becoming a great experience.

If you like 80’s horror movies there are high chances that you will enjoy The Quarry. But, if you have played Until Dawn and you start this game with the same expectations chances are you will be disappointed. It rises up to the promise of a summer flick, but it is far from the best production of Supermassive Games.

A fun romp with high production values and an engaging cast of characters. Light on gameplay or twists but this is a bigger and longer take on the dev's usual formula.

The Quarry is a game that has its glitches and some technical issues, but that doesn't take away from the shine of playing a title with excellent actors who lent not only their faces, but also their acting talent, making this one of the best interactive story games from Supermassive Games.

The Quarry features arguably the best writing and cast that Supermassive Games have ever put together, along with some impressive quality visuals in certain spots. However, the gameplay formula lacks improvements and is starting to grow stale. This horror adventure should satisfy fans, but it's time for the developers to aim higher.

The Quarry brings you the best story yet from Supermassive Games. In terms of gameplay, however, it lags behind its predecessors. In addition, you will encounter unpleasant technical bugs and glitches while playing.

The Quarry isn't quite what I had hoped it would be, but it's in the ballpark. Performance, animation, and dialog are usually perfectly executed, but some elements don't meet this high bar, and as a result, the experience can feel slightly disjointed. I didn't like the execution of some of the main baddies, both in a story context and on a technical level, and the story was sometimes too straightforward. Choices have interesting impacts, but the overall story beats remain largely the same - with the exception that a few protagonists are missing. What remains is a largely entertaining choice-based horror narrative that doesn't stray too far from Supermassive's tried-and-true formula.

The Quarry's charming cast and eye-watering visual splendour are worth the price of entry alone, but its strong, varying plot is where it truly pops.

I’m a bit divided when it comes to recommending The Quarry. It is a good interactive film that is worth experiencing at least once. It has a couple of significant drawbacks that keep it from truly shining, but it’s a great interactive movie that those who loved Until Dawn will appreciate.

The Quarry is a lot of fun and certainly scratches the itch of wanting to control the dimwitted characters in a teen slasher movie with the hopes of prolonging their survival or killing them all, if you prefer. At just over 10 hours, it's a good length but with so many branching paths and possible endings, I wish that replayability was executed in a more streamlined manner.

The Quarry is a fantastic return to form for Supermassive Games. Every character stands out well on their own thanks to the fun and excellent writing. The monsters and villains, while not terrifying, are a very cool take on the Summer Camp Horror stories that we’ve seen time and again up until now. With just a little more refinement on the rough edges, there’s no doubt this game would’ve been a top 10 horror game. Even then, The Quarry is memorable, and I highly suggest you check it out, especially with a group of friends.

The Quarry is an interesting beast. The story is good without being exceptional and the first playthrough is an enjoyable experience due to the strong presentation led by top-quality voice acting talent. The 8-10 hours of adventuring feel like an interactive season of the latest horror show on Netflix. In my view any horror fan, particularly those that enjoyed Until Dawn, should give this a go.
