Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder's Revenge Reviews
Shredder’s Revenge is a triumphant return for the Ninja Turtles. For all the reinventions and expansions of this classic property, there’s nothing quite like the original. Seeing the spirit of both the cartoon and Konami’s classic games so faithfully reproduced here was wondrous to behold. At the same time, Tribute Games has also managed to one up the games that came before it with a sharper combat system that allows for all sorts of creative ways to take down foes. Boss fights lack some of the nuance to defeat that rank and file grunts provide, but the spectacle of these battles makes up for that
Shredder's Revenge is one amazing experience for the fans of both TMNT and Beat 'em Up genre, and even though it has its own share of flaws, the aforementioned fans will love it anyway.

Despite the lack of content and unlockable stuff, Shredder's Revenge is more than worth it to play it. The story mode is great, and you'll probably want to spend a couple of evenings in the Arcade mode too.

A great experience that succeeds in evoking the best aspects of TMNT classic games while throwing in a new idea or two.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge is an excellent callback to the Turtles beat-’em-ups of old. The game is an easy purchase – if you can handle the chaos happening on screen.
With a lot of references from classic games, delivered with quality and fun to spare, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder's Revenge is a must-have title for all players, regardless of their preferred playstyle.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder's Revenge is exactly the game it promised to be: a heartfelt, funny, clever and incredibly fun tribute to a classic beat-'em-up and the cartoon on which it was based. The old-fashioned version of the Turtles might seem a bit odd to kids who are used to the more modern versions, but even they should have a ton of fun beating the heck out of the Foot Clan with their favorite of the timeless terrapins. If you feel nostalgia for Turtles in Time, then Shredder's Revenge is made for you, and I'm darn glad it is.
With three difficulty modes, 28 in-game achievements, and individual challenges for each stage, there's no shortage of reasons to pick up a bo staff, hockey stick, or microphone and dive back in again and again. Only having a single save file for story mode is a bit of a drag, but the Arcade mode with online leaderboards offers another tantalizing avenue for further playtime. In short, if you're a TMNT fan or love beat-'em-ups, you'll surely dig the colorful and upbeat Shredder's Revenge, especially if you can find a few other ninjas to kick back with.
Like the last slice of pizza, Shredder's Revenge is worth savouring every last second of. A fun, nostalgia-fueled adventure that every fan of these radical dudes has to play!
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder's Revenge is an awesome blast from the past that will bring you the joy of 80s arcades and massive co-op. The game is as fun as all those Konami classics that we loved as kids, but with some new twists. It could be a bit longer and better balanced though.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder's Revenge is simply the best beat 'em up released in the modern age. With gameplay that appeals to newbies and veterans alike, stellar visuals, and super-fun co-op play, there's a lot to love.
Dotemu and Tribute Games have not only beautifully re-energised and crafted a well-loved retro title, but quite possibly have created one of the best games of 2022 already. Whilst the game can be clocked in 2-3 hours, it is a reminder that sometimes quality eclipses quantity, and that rings so true here.
TMNT: Shredder's Revenge is a beat 'em up that delivers exactly what it promises. Although its content is a bit poor, it offers great doses of pure fun, especially in multiplayer mode, and is a first-rate title for those who want to throw a few quick punches. Cowabanga dudes!
It's everything to love about the ninja turtles, and beat-em-up games.
TMNT: Shredder's Revenge is everything a Beat 'Em Up should be. Dotemu's title is lovingly crafted with retro-inspired visuals and an original soundtrack. Not only this, but combat is some of the best the genre has ever seen. With fantastic co-op options and high replay value, it's a title you'll revisit for years. Whether you're a fan of the Turtles or not, it's easily one of the best titles of 2022.
Overall, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge is a fun game that accomplishes what it sets out to do. If I am being honest though, the gameplay can get a bit boring if you play it alone. It is best played with a buddy or a group of good friends.
Shredder’s Revenge is one of those rare games where the awesome feeling you felt watching the first trailer is surpassed when you play it, so if beat-em-ups are for you, this is a definite must-own.
I LIKE TURTLES! Fast-paced gem with nonstop action that's easy to pick up!
Having played the game already at PAX East this year where I was blown away, this review was a bit of a foregone conclusion before I got more time to put it through the paces on my own...
Shredder's Revenge is a nostalgia bomb that takes us almost four decades back in time. A game that shows the love the team has for the property, with intense fanservice and generates a lot of laughs with friends.
