A Plague Tale: Requiem Reviews
It’s a game that will stay with you long after you’ve put down the controller, a haunting reminder of the fragility of life and the encroaching darkness that lurks just beyond the edge of our perception.
Offering great visual spectacle but slightly marred by its pacing, A Plague Tale: Requiem is a worthy successor to the first opus.
Ultimately, A Plague Tale: Requiem is hands down one of the best single-player campaigns I have played recently.
By the time A Plague Tale: Requiem concludes, it will feel like being dragged by a pick-up truck across miles of concrete. The world depicted is a bleak and cruel one with no light at the end of the tunnel. Players will be getting their money's worth, as this is a very long game that is punctuated with lots of gimmicky sequences that add value to the package. The story does have a lot for fans to discuss, and the visuals are amazing, even if they came at the cost of a high frame rate. The gameplay is technically better than the first, but it was never amazing to begin with. The over-reliance on prebaked contextual actions and the rigidness of simplistic stealth is something most could expect from a seventh gen console title, not a ninth gen console release.
Even though Requiem is a bit formulaic, it's still a great game with an interesting story, great characters and fantastic visuals.

A Plague Tale: Requiem takes what made the first game good and improves upon that. If you can handle the constant stealth sections, this game is for you.
Unlike the first game, this is a pure travel story. Moreover, the new characters, new places we discover, and the Hugo-Amicia relationship that deepens in the middle of all this makes this journey a memorable experience. I was expecting this game to be good, but wasn't expecting this much.

A Plague Tale: Requiem is a vastly expanded sequel, for better and for worse. Returning fans might feel that everything here is quite familiar, if only bigger and more beautiful. If the improvements to combat and the uneven story aren't enough to entice you, the relationship playing out between our two central heroes is worth another trek through rat infested France.
And Plague Tale Requiem met my expectations. It's A Plague Tale Innocence on specific steroids that helped the creators get closer to the phenomenon of The Last of Us series. The game is excellent and I regret that I have it behind me.

A Plague Tale: Requiem is the consecration of Asobo Studio. The game is able to offer us an experience that improves everything to its predecessor, putting at our disposal a series of playable, graphic and design improvements that will keep us hooked for hours. In addition, the relationship between Amicia and Hugo perfectly represents the fraternal bond, presenting a story that has its own soul.

A Plague Tale: Requiem is a superb sequel that fixes or improves nearly everything from the original while telling one of the most emotionally harrowing stories of the year.
Except for the stuttering and crashes endured through the review period, A Plague Tale: Requiem is a very well done game. The story remains as engaging as ever, with a whole cast of compelling characters. The myriad of mechanics keeps things exciting, and the pacing makes you feel like you had the right amount of it at the right times. The overall presentation is stunning to the point where it is already a looker, even before ray tracing comes into the picture. If the stability fixes come in for the title, you're looking at a game that'll easily make a "Best Of" list for 2022.
A Plague Tale: Requiem outdoes its predecessor in many ways. Its story, for example, manages to be even more engaging and touching, while numerous gameplay enhancements make it a deeper, more varied affair. It’s just a shame that its first quarter isn’t better paced, relying too much on you manipulating rats with light, and that its combat sections just aren’t fun at all. Add in a myriad of performance issues and bugs, and you have a game that somewhat squanders its phenomenal potential, but is still very much worth playing.
A Plague Tale: Requiem is a superior sequel in almost every way, and We found ourselves attached to its world and characters as much, if not more than its predecessor.

A Plague Tale: Requiem is a fantastic game. The graphics are beautiful, the soundtrack is amazing, the gameplay is very good and the story is immersive and impactful. There are a few minor technical problems – which are far from ruining the experience – and, because it is a linear and plot-focused game, there's not much to do once you've finished the campaign.

A Plague Tale: Innocence offered already a unique experience and showed great potential, which the developers fully utilized in Requiem. The basic game system hasn't changed much since then, but now you'll be more immersed in the story of the De Rune siblings and their loved ones, which stretched nicely for two dozen hours.
