Time on Frog Island Reviews
A peaceful and utterly charming adventure that left me wishing for more.
Slightly above average or simply inoffensive. Fans of the genre should enjoy them a bit, but a fair few will be left unfulfilled.
Time on Frog Island can be a rewarding experience, but you have to have a lot of patience for its premise and mechanics.
A cosy adventure about trading items with frog folk on a peaceful island. Solve puzzles, find secrets, get friendly with the locals - all the good stuff.
My Time on Frog Island is a charming little puzzle game with hidden depths. Though you end up shipwrecked there, time on the island feels like a vacation as you settle into the peaceful daily routine of the local frogs. It ticks all the boxes for me — quirky characters, a unique, adorable art style, and a fresh take on the usual puzzle genre with little touches of life-sim elements. You can easily while away your time exploring the island, solving puzzles, and discovering little secrets.
Time on Frog Island is a charming and intriguing game, but whether it's an enjoyable one will very much depend on how you approach it. The silly frog characters and the little society they've developed can be cool to interact with, and there are plenty of surprises to be had as you get deeper into the trade network, but the deeper in you get, the more Time on Frog Island turns into a one-trick pony. Running errands for frogs is good for a little bit, but the lack of a map or any effective means of managing requests means that even this sole task is made needlessly more difficult. We'd give this game a light recommendation, as the chill vibes and the charming atmosphere do a great job of making Time on Frog Island worthwhile, but bearing in mind its frustrations, you might want to wait for a sale.
Time on Frog Island is a puzzle game in which you trade items with villagers to repair your ship and head home. With no real dialogue or map, finding these items is entirely up to your exploration skills. With a touching story and a cute art style, this game is definitely one you can sit down and enjoy for a few hours.
Anyone who enjoys relaxing or laid-back games will find a lot to like about Time On Frog Island. It has an intensely charming art style and animation, and it manages to capture the feeling of being stranded somewhere strange while it lasts.
Time on Frog Island is very fun, and the puzzle element was done smoothly for a game with no dialogue. Plus, who doesn't love frogs?
Time on Frog Island could be considered one big puzzle to unravel and for that, it's pretty cool albeit somewhat tedious at times.
My Steam wishlist is full of cute and cozy titles, many involving animals. Time on Frog Island had been there for a while, so I was thrilled to see we got a code to review! I was drawn to the art style, particularly the anthropomorphic frogs, and how colourful it was.
Look for objects, trade items meet characters of this island and find out that something is missing in this adventure full of puzzles.

In the positive side, Time on Frog Island is a very easy and relaxing game. However, it also can be mean that it has shallow game play. The game surely has a wonderful, deep background scenery, but it feels like they didn't make a good use of all of it.

It took a while for Time on Frog Island to grow on me; that probably wasn’t helped by the many times I got lost when my usually good sense of direction let me down. However, I loved how the sailor is animated, the story is good, and there is no pressure in the game. I do think that if you are not a fan of fetch-type quests, the game might not be for you. But if you want a chilled game with some quirky-looking frogs, and an island to explore, give it a try.
