Bayonetta 3 Reviews
Do you want more of Bayonetta 1 and 2? That's Bayonetta 3! It keeps the heart and soul of the first two games in every sense, but adds even more fun ways to pound your enemies into the dirt with style. Its chock-full of action set pieces, each more ridiculous than the last - it stays at 100% almost the whole time. Our favourite witch is back in black!
At the end of my time with Bayonetta 3, I find myself surprised at how much fun I had, and excited to go back and experience the first two titles of the series as well.
Is Bayonetta 3 worth playing? If you're already a fan, absolutely.
Bayonetta 3 is a generational title, and easily the best of the series. It's originality, execution, and overall fun factor make this a must-buy for Switch owners. Bayonetta fans old and new will adore this masterpiece.
I'm left walking away with a somewhat bitter taste in my mouth for what was one of my most anticipated games coming into 2022, even if I still largely enjoyed most of my time with it. Bayonetta 3 ultimately feels like a solid action game, but not one that was worth waiting eight years for.
Platinum made Bayonetta 3 an almost impeccable game. Its combat system is exciting, fun, easy to learn and full of depth, and its level design always brings a lot of unexpected surprises. Although the plot is not very substantial, but with the excellent animation performance, the whole story was told quite wonderfully. Bayonetta 3 is a masterpiece not to be missed for most players.

Hellena turned down the role in the end, and that public dispute is still bubbling along in the background in Twitter's cauldron, and while it hasn't affected the product before you today, the spat has certainly soured the behind-the-scenes of it all.
Bayonetta 3 it's simply a vulgar display of style. The best title made by PlatinumGames, and the best action game around.

By pure chance alone, Bayonetta 3 feels fit for the moment. At a time when loving Bayonetta feels *complicated*, Bayonetta 3 is a relentless, unashamed celebration of Bayonetta – of this character, of her companions, of the demons she fights alongside and of the outrageous spectacle that is the hallmark of this series.
Ultimately, we’re left a little conflicted with Bayonetta 3. This is the worst looking and performing Bayonetta yet, with a grander scale that both detracts and adds to the gameplay. We love the fact that we can finally take control of fearsome demons, for example, but we don’t like the fact that the camera struggles when fighting other gargantuan enemies. Add in some other frustrations, and you have a game that sometimes feel like the best the Bayonetta series has to offer, but other times the worst.
Though it has great action and exhilarating set pieces, Bayonetta 3 ultimately feels like a subpar port of a great action game.
While Bayonetta 3 is the weakest of the three, it is still a very good game that will give fans a lot of bang for their buck. There is enough changes and experimentation to justify this sequel and the rating system is the most forgiving than ever for neophytes, while also providing enough high level challenge for veterans.
Bayonetta’s grand return strikes a witchin’ good time with satisfying combat and varied gameplay elements.
Bayonetta 3 offers everything you would want from a Hack 'n' Slash game and more, featuring solid gameplay mixed with high tempo action and quality music that will make you want to come back and crave more.

As the series goes big this time Bayonetta 3 is more personal than ever. It’s creativity and larger than life characters boast a huge amount of fun while it’s scope is mindblowing. I know it’s a dying breed of a game but even in it’s last breath it goes with bang. All action fans and serie’s veterans should play this magnificent gem of a game.

Despite featuring what's arguably the best combat system in the series, Bayonetta 3 is nothing short of disappointing. Bayonetta's core gameplay is outstanding, weaving fluid controls together with incredible weapon variety and tons of fun mechanics to play around with. The combo potential is high and battles just feel great to play… as Bayonetta. An unforgivable amount of playtime is dedicated to newcomer Viola, stealth segments that make poor use of Jeanne, and relentless gimmick stages that wear out their welcome immediately. Tossing in mediocre level design, lacklustre performance, and a flavourless story that panders towards the current multiverse craze, and it's clear PlatinumGames have lost their touch when it comes to the Umbran Witch. Bayonetta 3 is simply pitiful.
A game that alternates between wowing you and boring you. The series' strong gameplay and crazy ideas carry the experience somewhat, but it remains a mixed bag.

Bayonetta 3 vastly expands its scope and has the biggest enemies and set pieces in the franchise to date, but in the midst of the bombastic action - along with some dubious gameplay and narrative choices - it loses a bit of its soul.
Full of sensuality and with the best hack and slash action around, Bayonetta 3 is easily the best in the trilogy. It's a celebration that pushes the power of Nintendo's console to the limit.
