Blossom Tales II is a better game than its predecessor, and I hope we continue to get more adventures from Lily, Chrys, and their grandpa in the future.

Blossom Tales 2 is the kind of game that's absolutely good, but definitely not great. The cute narrative premise, solid dungeon design, and pacing of overall progression all make this one worthwhile, but it's also the kind of game that feels like it's hamstrung by its lack of daring to try something new. In this sense, it's the epitome of a "buy it on sale" game; you're not missing anything by waiting to snap it up at a later date, but if you're a fan of the traditional 2D Zelda template, it's probably worth getting at some point when the mood takes you.

Solid and definitely have an audience. There could be some hard-to-ignore faults, but the experience is fun.

My only major gripes with Blossom Tales II: The Minotaur Prince are highly subjective. It’s a game that needs to reach the kind of people who play mods of The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past, which provide the player with more challenging combat and puzzles. Blossom Tales II has a very good world map to explore, and its dungeon puzzles and combat are perfect. It starts like a game a parent would want to get their young daughter but becomes one that will impress any old-school Zelda fan who gives it some time. So give Blossom Tales II: The Minotaur Prince your time.

Blossom Tales II: The Minotaur Prince is bigger and bolder than the first installment and even approaches the greatness of the better top-down Zelda titles.

The final dungeon is about 30 percent too long, and the minute-to-minute traversal of the map doesn't have the pace to generate that "leave-no-stone-unturned" momentum. Fortunately, the dungeons are largely well designed, and the world and its inhabitants have their charm. If you love a good top-down Zelda game or enjoyed the first Blossom Tales, you're likely to be happy with The Minotaur Prince. Just don't go in expecting the reinvented wheel.

Blossom Tales II: The Minotaur Prince has been inspired by A Link to the Past in all the right ways, combining great visuals, a charming story, adventure, and puzzles. This game is a must-play for me!

Blossom Tales II: The Minotaur Prince is a superb sequel to an indie darling that begged for a follow-up. Needless to say, I'm glad that Lily and Chrys' grandpa still has plenty of imaginative tales to tell. đź‘´

Even if Blossom Tales isn't all that original, that doesn't make it any less fun. The world is fun to explore, the puzzles are fun to solve, and the story is engaging and enjoyable. It may not make you forget its obvious influences, but at the very least, it does right by them, and tries its best to live up to their sterling reputations.

Though continuing with many of the charms of the original, the somewhat dumbed down challenge gives it less appeal

Slight negatives put to one side, I must say that Blossom Tales II: The Minotaur Prince was an absolute blast from start to finish. I couldn’t put it down as I just wanted to get on to the next dungeon, solve the next set of puzzles and get a new item to open up the next section. I wanted to read the next part of grandpa's endearing story and his conversation with his delightful grandkids. The only thing that stops me scoring it higher is the obvious copycat nature of a lot of the gameplay. However, I do feel that although Zelda et al have sowed the seeds of this genre in that special place in all our hearts, The Minotaur Prince helps those seeds blossom into more of the same beautiful and enjoyable gameplay that the genre has to offer.

Blossom Tales II: The Minotaur Prince is a fun, pixel adventure sequel that shouldn’t be missed, especially if you’re a fan of classic 2D Zelda games. Get ready for another exciting tale from Grandpa and save your bro!

Blossom Tales 2 is a good game, but it won't shine since others took the exact same approach and delivered a better experience. However, it could be a good starting point to those new to the genre or a great option for those that beat all the other games of this style and ask for more. Despite its very affordable price, it comes short in innovation to really stand out.

Blossom Tales: The MInotaur Prince, continues to be a continuation title, it seeks to introduce some other mechanics although it still has a main problem, its little originality and that is that few games are as good a copy of Zelda as the Blossom saga does, such, that still does not find a more personal visual aspect, the soundtrack feels good and complies at all times, it is undoubtedly a luxury title if you are a follower of the Zelda saga or are simply looking for a substitute.

I really enjoyed Blossom Tales 2. But it does just feel more the same. It is a new story, a new map to explore, new NPCs and some new items. However, it doesn’t feel like much of a leap from the first game. It also heavily leans into Zelda inspiration with its overall feel from the cheerful noises made when opening a chest to collecting four heart pieces to gain a new health block. There’s no harm in being like Zelda but when Blossom Tales 2 has the chance to be different, like with the choices you make during the story it just doesn’t lean into it enough. Despite all this Blossom Tales 2 is a sequel that plays it safe yet still succeeds thanks to its tight gameplay and exploration. I will admit I found it hard to put down, the game sucks you in and doesn’t let go. It may be familiar but it works. After all when I buy my Wife the same red gerberas, years after being together she’s still happy, so maybe consider buying this as a gift for a loved one. Blossom Tales 2 is still a vibrant colourful flower on the Nintendo Switch and well worth your time.

Blossom Tales 2 continues what the first set out to achieve – paying respects to the golden standard and not only accomplishing that, but killing it too. It’s a masterstroke of unadulterated glee, with nods to its inspiration and other unrelated genres.
