Horwarts Legacy on the Switch 2 is a noticeable improvement over the version we got on the original Switch. The game looks much better, the gameplay is smooth and above all: no more annoying loading times - save for a slow door here or there. And as a very nice bonus you can upgrade from the original version for just 10 bucks.

Hogwarts Legacy on the Nintendo Switch 2 offers an adventure set in Hogwarts, letting you live the life of a student at the most popular and beloved school of witchcraft and wizardry. However, the main story falls short in some areas, with a few plot holes that leave certain questions unanswered. Many of the side quests are engaging and well-written. The game also features dynamic combat, allowing players to create interesting builds — and with the Nintendo Switch 2’s mouse mode, the battles become even more fun.

Hogwarts Legacy arrives on the Nintendo Switch 2 with the grandeur it always deserved. After a frustrating initial release on the previous console, Big N fans finally receive a smooth, visually polished, and technically stable experience — something essential for the magic to truly work. Despite some stumbles in the main narrative and limitations in the progression and customization systems, the game shines where it matters most: in atmosphere, combat, and immersion. Exploring the halls of Hogwarts, flying across the open fields on a broomstick, and casting classic spells is everything a fan could wish for — and more. With improved performance and the quality delivered, Hogwarts Legacy stands as one of the best third-party adaptations on the Switch 2 so far. If you ever dreamed of receiving your Hogwarts letter… Now is the time to open the envelope.

While it doesn't introduce new content, the Switch 2 version of Hogwarts Legacy is a significant upgrade over the Switch 1 version. Enhanced by a wide range of control options, including Joy-Con 2 mouse inputs and gyro aiming, it delivers a more immersive wizarding experience than ever before.

It's not a terrible game; I mean, it's a strictly decent game. I had a good time with it for a few brief moments, but I quickly got bored after a few hours. It's not a game worth hating on, and I don't think it's worth condemning someone for choosing to play this game as a Harry Potter fan. After all, if this game had come out at any other time, no one would have cared about Hogwarts Legacy, and it would have been a drop in the ocean. And the bottom line is: it's a mediocre game, and it deserves a score that would put you one tenth of the way away from passing school.

One of the best glow ups on Switch 2 brings the magic of the wizarding world to Nintendo's new handheld with aplomb.

Hogwarts Legacy is a visually stunning open-world adventure that masterfully brings the Wizarding World to life, despite a few bugs and long load times on the PS4 version. With an original narrative set a century before the Harry Potter series, the game offers engaging gameplay, rich lore, and a high degree of customization, although the spell-based combat may feel monotonous over time.

Hogwarts Legacy surprises locals and strangers with a solid port on the consoles of the previous generation that, even with the logical cuts, manages to maintain the type without reducing content. So, if you do not have a new generation console and doubted its quality, you can rest easy and run for it without fear.

Hogwarts Legacy is phenomenal in its execution, design, and experience. Combat can be challenging and exciting, while exploration shines the spotlight on some of the most breathtakingly beautiful vistas and locations in a game released thus far in 2023. The title does not come without its faults, but what game truly does? Hogwarts Legacy has earned Avalanche Software some of the highest praise gamers can possibly give thanks to the overwhelmingly satisfying and exceptional experience on offer. Also, being a wizard is dope, so there is that.

Hogwarts Legacy is probably the best Harry Potter game released; it is high on glamor but low on substance that may keep players from investing for long hours.

Hogwarts Legacy is littered with small niggles which, when stacked together, make the game feel like it was released over a decade ago. While the castle is a large enough area to explore, the monotony of repeating quests and tasks makes the game feel last-generation and boring over time. Hogwarts Legacy could already use some DLC's in order to expand the size of the world, add more complex spells, and introduce a wider array of enemies. If you are a power-nerd looking for a new and complete RPG, you will have to wait for Star Wars: Jedi Survivor, coming in April 2023. While most critics agree that Hogwarts Legacy is near perfect, due to the incomplete feeling of the game and lack of a solid story arc, it feels more Muggle than magic.

Hogwarts Legacy manages to combine several elements present in RPG titles and action games almost perfectly. One of his greatest successes is to explore very well the material on which he is inspired. Experiencing the wizarding world from the point of view of a character created by you is something unique. It follows the same formula already seen in its combat, mixing the best in today's action games in a comfortable way for casual players. As much as the title lacks in its main campaign and repeats certain narrative clichés, it is definitely the game that every Harry Potter fan and I have always wanted.

Hogwarts Legacy is a testament to the dedication of its creators and is worthy of its source material. But it could’ve been so much more. Instead, it settled for everything we expected and is destined to be remembered for the poisonous debate that preceded it.

Hogwarts Legacy is a lovely experience that will vary in quality for different people. Harry Potter world lovers will definitely enjoy it unlike any other work, and for others who have little knowledge of this world or are not at all familiar with this space, it will be a good and satisfying experience. What everyone will agree with is that this game is a very admirable achievement as Avalanche Studio's first ambitious project, and it has the potential to turn into a flawless game in its next installments.
