Hi-Fi Rush is fresh, spontaneous, lighthearted and fun, with simply outstanding attention to detail, good graphics and aesthetics, and overall very enjoyable gameplay. The progression of the adventure flows like a charm, between ever-changing sequences and fights, mechanics that are constantly being introduced, crazy bossfights, and staging gimmicks that are nothing short of genius.

Look, I can wax poetic about this absolute wonder all I want, but you’ve got to play it to really see how epic this game is. Not even the biggest nitpicker could find a thing to make better in this, because it just does such a damn good job of being exactly what it aims to be. Do you like music? Do you like action games with a bit of platforming? Do you like charm and atmosphere in your games? If you answered “yes” to any one of those three, go boot up your console or PC of choice and find this gem, you owe it to yourself.
Hi-Fi RUSH is a highly enjoyable action-adventure fuses the solid, hack n’ slash combat of Devil May Cry with enthralling rhythm-based mechanics, while also blurring the lines between anime and Saturday Morning Cartoons to deliver a larger-than-life protagonist whose story is just as much fun to watch as he is to play.
Tango Gameworks has done an excellent job, delivering a polished, robust and diverse game. A clever combination of rhythm game, slasher and platformer can make Hi-Fi Rush have something for themselves. Microsoft has its first hit this year. More surprises like this, please!

Hi-Fi Rush is an utterly beguiling new take on rhythm-action, combining some of this generation's most impressive visuals with music and mayhem.
A wonderful action platformer which appeared out of nowhere and masterfully blended all the good things about this genre. It would be great if our industry surprised us like it happened with Hi-Fi RUSH more often.

If you like hack 'n' slay games like DMC or Bayonetta in the slightest and are not appalled by the artstyle and the music you have to get Hi-Fi Rush. The game oozes fun, has a great presentation and follows it's central design ideas throughout the game. All in all Tango Gameworks convinces with its first non horror game and delivers the first surprise hit in 2023. Also petting Robo-cats never gets old.

This music-centred adventure pits a teenage boy against robotic assassins in a colourful title for gamers of all talents.
When you're rocking this hard, why stop?
Hi-Fi Rush lives up to the hype it has received. It’s a fun experience with a musical backbone that works perfectly with its action platformer roots. Definitely a huge plus for the Xbox family.
From beginning to end, Hi-Fi RUSH is a rhythmic thrill ride replete with stunning art design, fantastically fun gameplay, and a surprisingly evocative narrative of friendship and determination.
Hi-Fi RUSH is a surprise hit for many, but frankly, that shouldn't come as a surprise. Tango Gameworks once more has proven itself to be an immensely talented studio, with showstopping animation and stylish artwork. It's one of the strongest entries in the character action genre yet, only further bolstered by an accessible focus on music to have you nailing that combo to the catchy beats. It is a joy to see protagonist Chai and his ragtag crew fighting the higher power and see that world grow for what is hopefully not the only time. Every needle-drop moment and thrilling boss fight and encounter all but emphasise one thing: Hi-FI RUSH is magic and already a serious game-of-the-year contender. Rock on.
The game is an excellent example that combines action, rhythm and drama into a single experience. Accessibility features let you play it without any burden, even you are not familiar with rhythm games. Also, the cheerful soundtrack throughout the entire game will make you smile all the time.

Hi-Fi Rush marches to the beat of its own drum with stunning animation, loveable characters, and stylish rhythmic action that are anything but one-note.
I simply can’t imagine not seeing Chai and 808 again, whether it’s in another game or some kind of animated spinoff. As triple-A gaming starts to feel more homogenized each year, Hi-Fi Rush is a stark reminder of how this industry was built on taking chances and experimenting. It’s a gutsy move from a developer known for only making “spooky” games, but it’s a gamble that’s clearly paid off.
