Princess Peach: Showtime! Reviews
Does Princess Peach: Showtime! reach the level of, say, Super Mario Bros. Wonder? Probably not. But it’s certainly on par with any of the solo Luigi or Yoshi outings we’ve had. Here’s hoping that we don’t have to wait another two decades for Peach to get another starring role, because this one is well worth your time.
With Princess Peach: Showtime!, Nintendo and GoodFeel essentially just kick-started a new franchise with a strong hook - a role-swapping mix of 2.75D action and episodic story-based levels with a comfy aesthetic. Though it’s a little on the short side, younger audiences, casual gamers, and fans of Princess Peach will find much to applaud.
Princess Peach Showtime! is a quick experience that is aimed towards newcomers but don’t let that distract you from the stunning visuals and new friends you meet along the way to saving the Sparkle Theater.
Princess Peach: Showtime, with clear inspiration from Kirby games, brings an adventure marked by accessibility and diversity. It is, above all, a show of choreography, music, costumes and sets that are eye-catching, without falling into more of the same by always presenting us with fair and well-thought-out challenges with its extensive content. Even if Peach's triumphant return to the spotlight is affected by the ravages of time, which has unfortunately come to the Switch, this theatrical adventure is a good choice not only for fans of the most famous princess in video games, but also for people who want to have fun with casual and fun gameplay.

Princess Peach: Showtime! is a completely fine platformer with plenty of fun ideas seeded between some pretty standard platforming levels. The presentation and different classes for Peach make the game stand out, though the technical performance and slightly repetitive nature of the game make it more of a neat experiment than a must-play title.
As a kid-centric title, "Princess Peach: Showtime!" gives Peach her long-overdue spotlight, wrapping it up in a bow and presenting it with a standing ovation.
In the Mushroom Kingdom there is life beyond the plumber. That is why it is a pleasure to see how the Princess takes the reins of the game to lift it herself. With a strong focus on the little ones, the simplicity of the levels is accompanied by a plot that is easy to understand, but that still shows high moments (such as the final battle). The transformations in the different archetypes will be accompanied by a change in the gameplay, becoming a succession of phases in which we will try different approaches and mini-games. For the most dedicated players who feel that this title will not have any challenge, there are collectibles that will be difficult to obtain in the first round, unlocking added challenges at the end of the game (in addition to the trials). Without a doubt, it is a pleasant approach for the new generation to start playing different genres while being protected by a friendlier adventure.

Princess Peach: Showtime! tells an interesting story in a realistic historical setting with some outstanding combat mechanics but lets its dated open-world design and poor performance drag it down.
With a focus on style over substance and a lack of any real friction in gameplay, Princess Peach: Showtime! is not going to provide a deeply engrossing experience. However, fans of the character and people looking for a relaxing jaunt into the dramatic arts will find plenty to enjoy
Princess Peach: Showtime! definitely could have been more than what we ultimately got. This game is a solidly crafted game that lacks heart and soul. Fortunately, it's a light, short enough adventure that little ones should have a pretty good time with. The low entry threshold, as well as the short duration of the individual levels, make it an ideal production for children who would like to start their adventure not only with platformers, but with video games in general.

Showtime embraces Peach's femininity and uses it to fuel her newfound heroics. Transforming into a graceful figure skater, a beautiful songstress or a cutesy chef is her way of saving those in need, and it's truly cathartic. On top of that, the levels are simply a whole lot of fun to play, despite how easy you might find them.
Princess Peach: Showtime! offers a wide variety of gameplay in exchange for a lack of depth. Short and simple, it’s a fun adventure that anyone can enjoy but will be more suited to younger players.
Fans of Princess Peach had to wait eighteen years for a new game starring the princess, but it was well worth it. While the game doesn't offer too much of a challenge and is rather on the short side, Princess Peach: Showtime nonetheless provides hours of fun. The diversity of costumes ensures that you won't get bored and can't wait for the next level of each costume.

Help Peach save the Sparkle Theater from the wicked Grape and the Sour Bunch, who have set the stage for the ultimate tragedy. Joined by Stella, the theater’s guardian, Peach is ready to save the day! Review copy provided by company for testing purposes. Princess Peach: Showtime! has a surprising amount of depth, making one of the best Super Mario spin-offs to date.
A solid but not outstanding effort by the Nintendo peeps.
Princess Peach Showtime is a charming game that is clearly aimed at younger users. The hand-holding gameplay and limited difficulty might prove too boring for even the casual gamer.
Princess Peach: Showtime benefits a lot from the idea of wearing different costumes, giving Peach a high variety of special abilities. Like usual for Nintendo games, the game brims over concerning loving details. The very low difficulty level and the partly inappropriate performance prevent the game from a higher score.

It's too soon to tell if Princess Peach: Showtime! will do for the character what Luigi's Mansion did for Mario's brother, but I find myself hoping we'll see Nintendo and Good Feel revisit this concept in the future. Hopefully by then they'll have ditched some of the weaker transformations, and give the graphics an overhaul worthy of royalty.
In this platformer, the focus is not on the difficulty of the individual levels, but on the many surprises that await me with Peach's creative outfits and transformations. The Sparkle Theater, Princess Peach and the game environments are detailed and lovingly designed. Even though the levels can be played through quickly, collecting coins and hidden stars gives me the motivation to play through them several times. It's a rather easy game, but a real feel-good experience.
