Horizon Forbidden West Complete Edition Reviews
Technically impressive but just not as fun or innovative as its predecessor.
Nixxes once again does an impeccable job. An exceptional port of a great adventure, with all the content included, which also has a great optimization to work very well in different configurations. Without a doubt, PlayStation should make them the only studio tasked with porting their games to PC.

There's simply no question that Horizon Forbidden West Complete Edition is a must-play game.
Horizon Forbidden West is a great open world adventure, especially as a sequel, with all the slow motion dino hunts you loved last time but bigger, all the noble questing but nobler, and all the high stakes raised even higher.
Horizon Forbidden West Complete Edition is an incredibly polished PC port with all the bells and whistles you could possibly ask for. It looks and runs incredibly, with the ability to tweak visuals and performance to suit your device. Nixxes continues their perfect streak of ports, and this is a fantastic way to experience Aloy's second adventure.
Horizon Forbidden West on PC is another incredible port from Nixxes. It successfully brings the Horizon Forbidden West experience to PC with a ton of content and tremendous performance. It's a must-buy for anyone that enjoyed the original, and it should leave fans excited to see what the studio is able to pull off with its upcoming Ghost of Tsushima PC port.
This PC release is the definitive version of Horizon Forbidden West. It looks fantastic, runs brilliantly, and tells one of the more compelling action RPG stories I’ve yet played. Aloy and friends are great characters, and the Horizon world is enticing by design. It’s not smashing through genre barriers by any means, but the systems are expertly balanced and exciting to engage with. It stands toe to toe with the best open world games of all time, and Guerrilla’s trajectory suggests their next effort will be even better.
Let's be clear, Horizon Forbidden West is one of the most beautiful PC games currently available and a real graphical marvel.

Horizon Forbidden West is utterly gorgeous and builds on the original's intense combat, but a lack of ambition and a flat narrative hold it back as a sequel. It provides more of the first game but bigger, with a few new inclusions struggling against the tidal wave of familiarity.
An exemplar of what a AAA experience should feel like, not just in terms of production quality, but creative combat.
If it is true that some of the recent PlayStation ports on PC had left a lot to be desired, in the case of Horizon: Forbidden West instead things have been done with the right care, offering the community on PC since day 1 a very scalable game, adaptable even to not very recent configurations and enjoyable even on the various handhelds on the market, Steam Deck included.

Horizon Forbidden West's PC port offers plenty of options for tinkerers to play around with, delivers great performance and plays on a wide range of hardware. It wouldn't be an exaggeration to claim that Horizon Forbidden West sets a new standard for PC ports.
If you liked the first Horizon game and want to re-enter the ruined world dominated by mechanical dinosaurs, the second game and expansion has already arrived on PC. And it is of good quality, but the price could have been lower.

Horizon: Forbidden West Complete Edition is a very good game, and the PC is the best version of that game thus far. The adventure is engaging overall, even if there are some things that could've been improved. The flexibility of the PC means that there's no longer a compromise between choosing resolution over frame rate. It is an excellent open-world game overall, and we can't wait to see another sequel.
Nixxes has come up with a quality, smooth flowing port that will make you forget the stumbles of Rift Apart.

Horizon Forbidden West Complete Edition has offered us the definitive refinement of the classic open world formula of its first installment. Nixxes Software has carried out a very good conversion of the Guerrilla Games game to PC with the latest technologies of the moment and support for ultra-wide screens, although at the cost of ray tracing. Despite this, this is a very good open world game that also easily ranks as one of the most visually attractive computer games.

We can only reaffirm the great work that Nixxes has done to provide an experience as similar as possible to its PS4 and PS5 version for those who decide to opt for the PC. You have the perfect excuse to get the game and be able to enjoy it in exceptional conditions if you have not had access to the title before, both for those who can squeeze out their equipment, without forgetting those less powerful systems to offer them a great experience. If you liked the first one and you hadn't been able to play this second installment, you can't miss it. It will give you hours of entertainment, which you will undoubtedly enjoy, becoming essential in your library.
