Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree Reviews
Shadow of the Erdtree is the perfect closure of the circle. Elden Ring with Shadow of the Erdtree definitely becomes FromSoftware's glorious work. The rating you see here has been assigned also, or rather especially, for what Elden Ring was, is, and will be. Are we romantics to see that kind of message in it? Maybe yes, maybe no, but there is no question that there is a before and an after Elden Ring.

Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree is a content-rich expansion, aesthetically beautiful and surprising in terms of the new features it offers in terms of settings, lore, NPCs, enemies, builds and equipment. Almost nothing is mandatory, as per tradition, yet it's a shame to leave anything behind. The level of challenge is obvious, designed for those gamers who enjoyed the base game, yet nothing is unfair or impossible if you use the tools available. There is no shame, no ‘cheat’ in exploiting one build rather than another: the important thing is to have fun and push your limits, in an adventure that is once again different for each Lightless, yet unites everyone. Travelling under the dark, dripping gold branches of the Tree of Shadow is a thrill not to be missed.

Elden Ring: Shadow of The Erdtree is a groundbreaking experience for gamers worldwide, exemplifying what a DLC should be while continuing the legacy of the base game brilliantly. The Land of Shadow is filled with adversity and danger, but you have everything you need to overcome the challenges and emerge as a true Elden Lord.
This 60+ hour adventure to conquer its lands is certainly worth your time and money. Several of the game’s new encounters are among the title’s best, offering battles that will test you in ways most players wanted from the base experience. Shadow of the Erdtree joins the list of being one of the best expansions ever made, an adventure so epic and vast that you’ll continue to write your story in ways that feel as if this adventure is something you are the first to discover.
More than an expansion, Shadow of the Erdtree is a completely new adventure that puts an end to a cycle, inviting us to review a memorable saga. It is difficult to determine what the future holds for the studio or even for the genre that made it so popular. Be that as it may, we will always have The Lands Between.

Shadow of the Erdtree is an expansion that perfectly complements Elden Ring, adding new things, but at the same time sticking to the good old developed recipe. For fans of the genre, there is a great reason to return to the game, just to explore the beautifully created world and face the biggest challenge yet.
Capturing all the nuances and features of a title like Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree is no easy feat—perhaps even impossible. This expansion not only preserves the original game's acclaim and integrity but elevates it further, becoming an essential component of the overall experience.

Elden Ring’s Shadow of the Erdtree DLC expansion is nothing short of superb. The game showcases a wide variety of everything, inclusive of adding new characters, areas, weapons, spells and more for the Tarnished to utilize in their journey. Its features rival and sometimes even dwarf aspects of the base game, but the same can be said in the inverse. At launch, there are major issues with regards to the difficulty and performance of the expansion, but these problems are likely to be addressed and fixed appropriately within the future.
'Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree' is an expansion that continues the challenge of the game. The successful formula has not been changed much. So one can expect more of what one already knows from the games. The biggest challenge can be found in this DLC. Before purchasing it is useful that you are able to defeat Mohg and Radahn in order to be able to enter the DLC.

Shadow of the Erdtree is what I would call the perfect DLC/Expansion pack and it does everything I want from this kind of content. It builds upon the core systems that made the base game so great, without breaking what was already there, it provides so much new content when it comes to areas to uncover and bosses to defeat.
This is one of the meatiest expansions I’ve ever encountered in a video game. It could be its own game. All of the additions Shadow of the Erdtree makes are everything a Soulsike fan could hope for. While many think the price point for the DLC is a bit steep, I can clearly say what you get here more than justifies the asking price, and if you love Elden Ring, you should definitely not skip Shadow of the Erdtree.
The return to Elden Ring is the perfect reminder of the high level of quality that FromSoftware currently brings to the RPG genre. No one does it like FromSoftware.

The base game still holds up wonderfully and the expansion offers what is essentially much more of the same sort of experience with a few caveats. Performance woes and overly difficult boss encounters aside, Shadow of the Erdtree should be a must-buy for anybody that enjoyed the base game experience who craves more.
Shadow of Erdtree is the largest DLC the gaming world has received to date. Shadow Realm turns out to be a very valuable addition to Lands Between, with beautiful new areas, amazing new boss fights, and a fulfilling new level-up system that gives the feeling of being in the Elden Ring Endgame.

Whether you’re a seasoned Soulsborne veteran or a newcomer to FromSoftware’s brand of challenging yet rewarding gameplay, Shadow of the Erdtree is an expansion that should not be missed. It really expands upon Lands Between established while preserving the sense of wonder and discovery that feels so important in Elden Ring. Shadow of the Erdtree sets a new standard for what a DLC can achieve and I believe this is FromSoftware’s greatest work yet.
Shadow of the Erdtree brings a brand new story, a highly explorable and mysterious new land brimming with new weaponry and some of the toughest bosses around to make it a must have expansion.
The adventure is satisfying and full of combat and exploration - in a larger size and scale than many "full" titles and the lore offers new information and surprises to those who pay enough attention to it.

Elden Ring: Shadow Of The Erdtree is an extraordinary DLC that elevates the already impressive Elden Ring experience. With a vast, beautifully designed world, challenging new enemies, and a plethora of collectibles and customization options, this expansion is a must-play for fans. Despite its difficulty, the engaging exploration and rewarding combat make it a standout addition to the Elden Ring universe. Available now on PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC via Steam, this DLC promises hours of immersive gameplay.
Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree is an excellent DLC expansion that manages to freshen up the brilliance of the base game with its dazzling locales, gripping enemy encounters, and focus on collecting Scudatree Fragments. Don’t get me wrong, it’s tough as nails and can be a little frustrating early on, but it brings with it a difficulty curve that’s as rewarding as that found in the base game, with those who take the time to explore their surrounding the most likely to survive its dastardly challenges. Add to that the thrilling boss encounters, the abundance of new gear to find, and the fact that it just so happens to be massive in design, and it’ll be hard not to find yourself in awe of what’s on offer in Shadow of the Erdtree.
The Shadow of The Erdtree expansion is a wonderful addition to the Elden Ring content. The expansion presents a new world that is very fun to explore, distinctive in the way it is designed, and very beautiful and diverse in its environments, while maintaining the epic boss fights found in all FromSoftware games, and the presence of many Surprises for Elden Ring Lore fans, and this is why Shadow of The Erdtree is an unmissable addition to anyone who loves the Elden Ring experience
