Minishoot’ Adventures is one of my favorite games on the Nintendo Switch 2. It feels right at home, especially since it clearly takes inspiration from games like The Legend of Zelda and Metroid. It does little to hold your hand, but subtle clues point you in the right direction on where to go and what to do next. There are plenty of hidden secrets as well, giving completionists a lot to explore. If you’re a fan of twin-stick shooters or exploration heavy games like Zelda, Minishoot’ Adventures deserves a spot in your library.

Thanks to its excellent utilization of well-worn Zelda-inspired conventions and enough unique twists to differentiate it from the pack, Minishoot' Adventures delivers an outstanding bullet-hell experience with less frustration than most entries in the genre. I didn't set out to 100 percent Minishoot' Adventures, but by the time I reached the end of the the story, I had experienced everything the game has to offer, a testament to how enamored I am with this fun, twin-stick title. Minishoot' Adventures bridges the gaps between disparate genres with outstanding gameplay and thoughtful level design to deliver one of the best games I've played all year.

Minishoot Adventures is an excellent twin-stick quest in a wonderfully-illustrated 2D world that's equal parts shooting and poking about to see what might be hiding under a bush or between the rocks. The story isn't particularly deep, but it gets the job done, and at the end you'll have an energetic little village filled with a number of different friendly ships that have each helped the adventure along in their own way. Fighting through the enemies also feels like an achievement, especially seeing as the number and variety of encounters means that few fights end up similar to each other. Zipping and dodging through enemy firepower while sending back a fan of bullets, deciding when to use the overdrive and when to hold back, and getting ready to figure out the pattern of the next barrage never gets old, and interspersing the encounters with a secret or two is the best way to cool down between one burst of intensity and the next. Minishoot Adventures is a fantastic little game that deserves all the love it can get, and a great fusion of two genres that don't get to play together anywhere near often enough.

A straightforward but wonderfully executed blend of topdown shmup action with a 2D Zelda structure.

Minishoot' Adventures is a fantastic twin stick twist on the classic Zelda formula we all know and love, and it's serious hard to put down.

An excellent mix between an action-RPG and a shooter, wonderfully developed into one of this year's best indie games.

A successful blend of Zelda and twin-stick bullet hell shooter, which sounds like a terrible mix but brings some welcome novelty to both styles of play.

Minishoot' Adventures is a non hand holding, bullet hell, Legend of Zelda like shoot-em-up with Smash TV elements. If you want a game with all that thrown in, then this game is for you. Don't sleep on this one. It's so good. You're guaranteed to lose your ship.

Minishoot' Adventures avoids being a shameless ripoff of classic Zelda by incorporating twin-stick shooter elements into its fluid gameplay. The result is a brisk adventure that constantly feeds rewards and surprises to the player.

Although not all Legend of Zelda elements make the transition where it may have helped, Minishoot Adventures is a creative and successful blend of top-down adventuring and twin-stick shooter gameplay. Plenty to discover, collect and challenge yourself with makes for a thoroughly rewarding experience that, despite feeling like a bit more could be extracted from this genre mashup, will greatly satisfy both classic Zelda and shoot ‘em up fans.

As a huge pleasure to play, Minishoot' Adventures builds a very fun gameplay loop that is intuitive and very efficient in everything it sets out to do. With a well-designed world to explore, many secrets to discover, upgrades to strengthen yourself, and options to adjust the difficulty of the intense bullet hell combat, it's a delightful experience that focus on what it does best.

Taking inspiration from a little green elf, Minishoot' Adventures combines bullet hells and exploration to create something truly unique. This title might not be the toughest or most compex title on the market, but the feedback loop between combat and exploration kept us captivated.

Minishoot' Adventures is great, plain and simple. It's oozing charm from its art style and UI to gameplay and exploration. It's a game you want to complete 100%, and I wouldn't have it any other way.

Minishoot’ Adventures runs at around 10 hours long, and never looks to overstay its welcome. The upgrades come fast, and the bullets even more so. The clever bosses and level design always feel good, and it simply just feels great to play. While I never thought about mixing a twin-stick shooter with the gameplay of classic Zelda, I'm glad these two did, as it's a match made in heaven.

Personally, Minishoot’ Adventures is going to stick with me because it reminded me of just how joyous it can feel to simply play and progress through a high-quality video game. That might sound obvious, but it’s a rare treat to play something that feels as satisfying and polished as this. It’s a good reminder that, no matter how old you are or where you end up in life, sometimes the best weekends are the ones spent completely forgetting what fresh air feels like and absolutely devouring an expertly crafted bullet hell shooter structured like an overhead Legend of Zelda entry.

At the end of the game, I felt immense satisfaction. With all but a couple trophies awarded (that I may go back for at some point) and a couple faults worth mentioning, it still felt complete and like something substantial was accomplished. It’s a wonderful playthrough that respects you, your time, money, hard drive space, and effort. This is yet another awesome indie that deserves support and all the praise it’s getting. Don’t delay – shoot today!

Minishoot' Adventures is just the right type of game to appear on Game Pass: Created by small indiestudio, original idea with jolly fun gameplay and a possibility to complete in couple of hours. It nowadays rarely happens that I complete a game 100 % but this time just couldn't stop before that – and I totally enjoyed every second!
