Astro Bot Reviews
Astro Bot is not only one of the best games I have played this year but one of my most fun video game experiences in recent memory.
I don’t remember the last time a video game just made me smile from ear to ear, making me hope it could never end. In fact, this may be Astro Bot‘s biggest issue: it doesn’t last forever. I simply want more of it. Astro Bot is serotonin in digital form.
Astro Bot is a flawless 3D Platformer that stands among the industry's finest and is an instant classic. Its incredible level of design, boss battles, and mechanics build upon the best platformers that came before, making this title more than just a celebration of PlayStation's past; it is a surefire staple for its future.
Astro Bot is a breath of fresh air from PlayStation’s first parties, as it truly encapsulates that old-school feeling, where Sony didn’t have the same formulaic game and took chances on other genres. Team Asobi knocked it out of the park with a game that is just tremendously fun to play.
Astro Bot is nothing short of a delight. It takes everything that made that small tech demo a hit and builds on its best parts while improving on the shortcomings. There are a few frustrating moments and it isn’t flawless, but there is more than enough to keep you invested from start to finish. PlayStation has finally got a killer mascot on its hands, one that I hope it doesn’t forget about anytime soon. If you’re looking for a fun and cute adventure filled with challenging levels, addictive collectibles, and a plethora of PlayStation references, Astro Bot is the game for you.
If you own a PS5, then I do think Astro Bot is a must have for the system. Not only is it a fantastic platformer from start to finish with plenty of content for the 14 hours or so it takes to do everything, it’s also a love letter to PlayStation’s history and honestly even gaming as a whole. I honestly haven’t seen this many franchises represented in one game since Super Smash Bros. Ultimate and it was great that Sony even included series they don’t own, although some have a strong history on PlayStation as well.
ASTRO BOT is a real treasure that captures the heart and soul of what makes a platformer great. With expertly crafted levels, inventive mechanics, and delightful nods to PlayStation history, it’s hard not to fall in love with every moment.
There are games that remind us why we fell in love with video games in the first place. In my opinion, Astro Bot is one of those games. It’s a phenomenally polished title, featuring great audiovisuals and, above all, brilliant gameplay that never gets boring. It's also a family-friendly game, perfect for everyone to enjoy together.
MARVELOUS

Astro Bot is considered the celebration Sony has cooked for the 30th anniversary of PlayStation, and boy, what a celebration this is! So, in addition to being a phenomenal showcase for PlayStation's legacy and its rich history throughout the 30 years, it is also a great game made with great passion and love for this industry. The game offers a great level design and brilliant gameplay ideas, with stunning visuals and a great soundtrack. However, the game may have suffered a bit for giving fresh ideas in its second half, and despite the frustration, this hasn’t affected my experience with the game a lot because of how great those levels are designed. So, I really enjoyed my time with Astro Bot and of course, it is a must-play.

Astro Bot is the clear winner of my game of the year title. This game puts fun above all else and does it perfectly. It is a technological marvel that has been thought out and executed with the utmost precision and great passion. It never gets boring and its only drawback is that it leaves you with an appetite for more. The countless references and easter eggs bring a smile that does not disappear for a moment. This is a title that rejoices the heart and improves the mood even after the hardest day.

This isn't just one of the best games of 2024, it's one of the best platformers that I have played in the last decade
From PlayStation references to charming interactions with other Bots, there’s a treat on every level. It’s wild to think that Sony finally has a platformer that rivals the excellent 3D Super Mario Games, but Team Asobi really did it. Don’t miss out on one of the best platforming experiences in gaming history with Astro Bot.
Astro Bot is nothing short of magic, applying fun and fluid platforming to a creative love letter to video games. The quality of detail in Astro Bot is only rivaled by the passion its developers so clearly have for video games.
Astro Bot is a modern masterpiece. Team ASOBI have created an instant classic here, reviving a genre for Sony while giving us one of the most enjoyable experiences to hit the platform in years.
Stop what you are doing and go play Astro Bot right now.
Astro Bot is a dream for platformer fans and should be played by anyone with a PS5. It won't convert dislikers of the genre, but it does everything right, is incredibly fun, looks great and couldn't celebrate 30 years of PlayStation any better
