Dynasty Warriors: Origins is not only the best entry point for newcomers, but one of the best offerings the series has had in recent memory. The intimate zoomed-in story portrays the Three Kingdoms figures as likeable and complex characters with compelling motives. Combat can be hit or miss, but there's no denying the unmatched scale and spectacle of the 1-v-1000 battles.

From its storytelling to the revamped combat mechanics, nearly every piece falls perfectly into place. Despite a few hiccups and some rough edges that still need polishing, it's impossible not to appreciate the fantastic work done by the team at Omega Force.

Overall, Dynasty Warriors: Origins is a really good revamp of the classic formula, but it’s also a pretty good action game for newcomers to the franchise. Considering these games have always had a niche following, it’s good to see them get a shot in the arm that might bring in some new blood.
Dynasty Warriors: Origins is a reboot, and like all reboots, it will always leave behind some of those fans that so cherish the originals. That said, for all the fans it might annoy, this new title has released to a very positive response to what has, at times over the decades, been a harsh jury of critics in the gaming press, which says a lot. It's easy to see why.
While it is missing some features, DYNASTY WARRIORS ORIGINS is a fun time and a great place to hop in for newcomers!
Although Sun Tzu said, "The greatest victory is that which requires no battle." the man never played Dynasty Warriors. Origins has practically written an epic about fighting like a hero in the heart of battle and winning the war through combat.

Despite a weak original story, Dynasty Warriors: Origins still manages to breath new life into the franchise. The main battles are better than ever, and I love the idea of giving more time to parts of the Romance of the Three Kingdoms that Dynasty Warriors usually glossed over. Origins is a good base for future entries, and hopefully the start of a strong return for mainline Warriors games.

A great way to reboot the long-running series
As a fan of the Dynasty Warrriors series since the PlayStation 2 era, I can confidently say that Dynasty Warriors Origins is the best mainline game in the series. Needless to say, I eagerly anticipate the release of a new Dynasty Warriors: Xtreme Legends.
