Infinity Nikki has deep open-world exploration, a quirky story, and some of the most beautiful in-game outfits you'll ever see – you just have to be ready to navigate a maze of menus to get them.

What Infinity Nikki lacks in difficulty, it makes up for with a gorgeous wardrobe and charmingly scenic world I can't stop poking around.

A true step forward for open-world gacha games, Infinity Nikki finally brings some much needed competition to the miHoYo monopoly.

A pleasant enough free gacha game about dressing up all nice, which will appeal to gacha fans only.

Infinity Nikki is a delightful dress-up experience worth checking out on a whim. Its creative gameplay provides countless opportunities to create a perfect look for Nikki with near-limitless clothing options and accessories. While the open world may sometimes feel bland, the various activities and puzzles you discover pull the engagement levels back. Even during its uninteresting story beats, it'll surprise you with an awe-inspiring set-piece that'll make you adore the quality and effort put into its details. If it continues to expand the charming world of Mira even further with new story arcs and events, it'll surely be a top-notch adventure title that isn't too dependent on the controversial Gacha elements.

But it does offer a fresh perspective, a strange and captivating world to explore, bucketloads of silliness, and hours of breezy fun. If you can put up with the free-to-play trappings and some hopefully temporary technical instability at launch time, and if you can have a good time without needing to kill stuff, you can have a blast without needing to know a single thing about fashion.

The most disappointing thing with Infinity Nikki? That all of my review period progress will be reset. This is a genuinely enthralling free-to-play RPG that will delight those looking for a magical fantasy world to be swept up in.

Infinity Nikki is like that perfect outfit you didn't know you needed in your gaming closet. It's refreshing, beautiful, and surprisingly deep. In a gaming world dominated by action and conflict, this title reminds us that sometimes, what we really need is a space to be creative, help others, and yes, look fabulous while doing it.

Infinity Nikki, even in this early phase of its lifespan, is utterly essential – assuming you can stomach the twee, whimsical tone to it all. Its cosy vibes will prove an acquired taste, but its attention to detail and commitment to keeping the player engaged during every minute of exploration is impeccable. Moreover, its visual presentation is up there alongside the best you'll find on PS5 – an extraordinary achievement for a free-to-play game that also miraculously runs on mobile. Some control quandaries and an abundance of proper nouns prevent it from achieving perfection, but these are minor blemishes on an otherwise outstanding experience.

While its gacha mechanics feel predatory, Infinity Nikki is a blast in most other aspects. Finding and dressing up in various outfits is fun, and the open world has a ton of variety. The story is surprisingly interesting too, even if it has a few too many lulls. Infinity Nikki feels like the ultimate dress up game, and it's only going to get bigger from here.

Infinity Nikki is a cozy exploration game with solid dress-up mechanics and appealing visuals, despite its iffy console performance and annoying gacha system.

Infinity Nikki is a genuinely enjoyable game about exploring, forging friends and making pretty dresses, let down by an abundance of predatory monetization and unnecessary mobile design choices.

For me, the key word of Infinite Nikki is "surprise". I didn't expect that dressing up and the open world would have much chemistry together, but the result is that even if it doesn't seem possible, if both sides are done well enough, then it can be done! Whether it is the unforgettable story performance in the game or enjoying the jump level while exploring the world, these contents are interesting enough to make me willing to dress up my "daughter" first, and then finish everything elegantly.

Infinity Nikki is the definitive evolution of the series, and while it's jam-packed with gacha mechanics and currencies to navigate with, it manages to effectively engage and make you want to create your perfect outfit (and wardrobe).

A worthy competitor to Genshin Impact. A big, beautiful and free game designed to absorb all your free time. If you don't have a strong desire to fill your wardrobe, then microtransactions won't cause any discomfort. For now.

No video game about collecting dresses is worth more than it would cost to buy the actual dresses in the real world.

Infinity Nikki is a true gift, although it's not a game for everyone. Despite featuring a story that feels lacking, its beautiful open world and Nikki's immense wardrobe come together to create a package that brings joy to the soul and peace to the mind.
