With its incredible roster, awesome selection of game modes both new and old, and huge improvements made across the likes of Showcase and MyRise modes, WWE 2K25 is, at its core, a Wrestlemania main-event-worthy addition to the series. The in-ring action is so good that when I’m playing, I want to do nothing apart from keep playing, and in that sense, this feels like the absolute pinnacle of wrestling video games. What a shame that it’s all held back by greed, then, and I hope that players send a message to 2K and voice their concerns, as The Island, being the first prominent new mode the series has received in years, has me seriously concerned for the future of the franchise. For now, though, it’s easy enough to ignore, given the quality on display throughout the rest of the package, and wrestling geeks like me can rest easy knowing we have a quality product to get us through the next 12 months.

WWE 2K25 is a huge step-up for the franchise in many ways, with more on offer, better customisation, far improved gameplay, and an entirely new mode that hopefully gets refined and bettered as time goes on. Beyond a few small mistakes, it feels like the best entry in the franchise for a long time, and certainly the best wrestling game available right now.

WWE 2K25 is an excellent entry in the series and a great addition to the wrestling genre at large. It’s not merely an update, and definitely not a mere roster refresh. 2K has ensured that the formula has been revised and tweaked across the board from last year’s offering to provide a deeper experience that is a must-play if you are a WWE fan.

As Sheamus would say, “Banger after banger”. It has been a really good run of games for this series, most additions have been really great, with WWE2K25 featuring the best ‘My Rise’ and ‘Showcase’ modes, and gameplay is as solid as it has ever been. It is a real shame about ‘The Island’, and here is hoping 2K leave it lost and uninhabited in future games.

With next-gen graphics, precise voice acting, highly detailed sound effects, and a soundtrack perfectly synced with WWE’s competitive atmosphere, WWE 2K25 isn’t just the best entry in the series in years, it’s one of the greatest wrestling simulators of all time

WWE 2K25 is the refinement of every aspect that they’ve already built on. It may as well be the perfected version of their intended design, as not much has changed in the actual gameplay and only adds a couple of new things here and there. Hopefully, the new online game modes are not a sign of things to come since pay-to-win live service game modes have been 2K’s thing in their other sports releases.

In conclusion, WWE 2K25 is a solid title, capable of entertaining and offering a rich and varied gaming experience. The audio-visual section remains spectacular, while the innovations introduced on the gameplay side, although minor, give further depth to the title. However, The Island proves to be an addition of little value, due to the strong centrality of microtransactions, while the showcase mode continues to bring the same problems of previous editions. In general, WWE 2K25 confirms the strengths of the series, guaranteeing hours of pure fun for all WWE fans. Some bugs, although very rare, affect the general realization of the work, but in all likelihood they will be resolved with some patches in the coming weeks.

WWE 2K25 is a professional wrestling history lesson, a fantasy camp for your rassling dreams, and the probably finest ever title in the series.

WWE 2K25 is a chapter that lives in the shadow of its predecessor. After the major step forward taken with 2K24, Visual Concepts has chosen to play it safe, limiting themselves to small refinements and a few side additions that hardly justify upgrading to the new installment—especially for those still holding on to last year’s game. The gameplay is solid but almost unchanged, the new modes struggle to find a clear identity, and where the game tries to innovate — see The Island — it does so in an intrusive and clumsy way, with an increasingly aggressive microtransaction system, while Showcase and MyRise take a clear step backwards. The result is a game that can entertain, but fails to excite. A more of the same that will satisfy the most die-hard fans… but may disappoint those expecting something bolder and more impactful.

A functional iteration that comes with a few interesting new features but remains in the doldrums in other aspects. Still, it's a thoroughly entertaining and punchy product and is bound to lead the complete newcomer of this genre to gamer bliss. And, of course, for Bloodline enthusiasts, it's an absolute must-have that takes a look at the most important names of the bloodline shaping this particular sports industry.

It’s wise to release these games during the Road to Wrestlemania because the hype is real and circular. Watching WWE makes me want to play their games, and vice versa, so here I am living the wrestling dream.

WWE 2K25 is arguably the best WWE game of recent years, with its large roster of wrestlers and good visuals. However, it loses some of its appeal due to its focus on microtransactions and the weak The Island mode.

WWE 2K25 isn’t a step up from WWE 2K24. If anything, it’s more of a considerable downgrade. The gameplay has improved, but the content leaves much to be desired. Moreover, the Bloodline Showcase mode is a very unpleasant experience.

WWE 2K25 will bring you back to the wrestling show! With improved visuals, animations and a variety of game modes, we can argue that this is a really good WWE game. Apart from a few technical bugs and the lack of The Island mode on PC, we can guarantee that this is a game that will get you ready for the ring.

WWE 2K25 is the most complete entry yet, with enhanced graphics, smoother animations, and new features. The Showcase mode, focused on the Anoa’i family and Roman Reigns, shines with Paul Heyman’s narration. Mixed matches return after 16 years, a third-person camera adds realism, and “MyRise” unifies male and female storylines. The only downside is “The Island” mode, which struggles with technical issues and limited content.
