Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3 + 4 Reviews
Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3+4 is an excellent revisit to two of the franchise's best games, despite making a few missteps such as the absence of THPS4’s original campaign mode and other questionable decisions. Nevertheless, the addictive gameplay and strong nostalgia factor are enough to please both longtime fans and newcomers alike.

Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3 + 4 has been a total blast to play, showcasing what can be achieved when a lot of heart and focus go into making a game.
Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3+4 brings back the thrill of classic arcade skating with fluid gameplay, gorgeous level design, and creative new modes. While some design choices—especially around THPS 4—may disappoint longtime fans, the overall experience remains a highly enjoyable tribute to the golden age of skateboarding games.

A treat for both veterans and newcomers, Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3 + 4 shows why the series is still just as relevant all these years later. A modern classic.
In some ways, Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3 + 4 feels more like a level pack than a sequel, but that doesn’t mean it isn’t worth your time. These games are still great, and most of these stages are still incredibly well designed. I can’t recommend it quite as strongly as I would the series’ last entry, but if you’ve finished Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 + 2 and you’re still craving more, then you should just right into this release.
A mostly competent remake with some bewildering gameplay decisions concerning ‘Pro Skater 4’. A sometimes beautiful looking game that gives fun 2 minute blasts of classic arcade skating action. Modifiers to make the experience enjoyable for first time skaters and the hardened elite of yesteryear. A myriad of online park creations add theoretical replay-ability. Essentially it is a test of your nostalgia lens.
Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3 and 4 offer a sense of nostalgia in relation to skateboarding games from years gone by, though at the expense of having rather stale gameplay.
Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3+4 is an Arcade Skate Game. It is a remake of two games bundled. It is not always identical to the original, but this does not press the fun. A lot of practice and failure is a requirement for the coolest tricks. It is certainly not easy. Skate pleasure is again guaranteed for the Skatefan.

If you’re expecting a 1:1 remake of both games, you’re effectively there when it comes to levels, but it’s not perfect. If you’re not concerned with the faithfulness to Pro Skater 3 and 4, these games are bigger and better than 1+2 and well worth it.
Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3+4 is an impressive follow-up to Vicarious Visions’ swan song. The exhilarating skateboarding mechanics remain as fun as ever, demanding skill to execute showcase-worthy maneuvers. Despite some content being trimmed from its Pro Skater 4 counterpart, it delivers a solid, all-in-one package with stunning visuals and an excellent soundtrack.
Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3+4 is an excellent game that continues the legacy of the previous remake: revitalizing the franchise. The vast roster of skaters, the freedom to create their own creations, and the sheer number of challenges promise many hours of gameplay for a wide range of audiences. However, omitting most of the original soundtrack and preserving THPS4's mission structure, in addition to removing classic stages, really ends up being a heavy negative point.

Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3+4 is a faithful and fantastic remake by Iron Galaxy, but a gutted soundtrack and changes to THPS4’s structure slightly hold it back.
Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3 + 4 builds on the foundation that Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 + 2 set, but the changes to THPS4 detract what is otherwise a fantastic couple of games. There were certainly some tough decision that had to be made, making it less faithful to the original games it is named after. This is arguably better than its predecessor, because of the new moves for chaining combos, great levels, and sheer amount of content. Iron Galaxy had their work cut out for them, but really made something great here. Ultimately, Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3 + 4 is a triumphant remake worth playing, as it’s still a fantastic collection and duology of games that capture the essence of what made these games so special in the first place.
If you can live with the differences, Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3 + 4 is a highly addictive and thus an exceptionally entertaining skateboarding title for both us old-timers and new players alike. It offers enough new content to make up for the missing stuff, so I personally didn’t find the omissions all that bothersome.

The return of Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater with remakes of the third and fourth entries is not just an enhanced version, but a comeback packed with a massive amount of content and levels. It stays true to its fun arcade-style gameplay that constantly invites you to grab your skateboard despite countless falls, delivering a challenge-filled experience and serving as the perfect starting point for fans of this genre of sports games.

All in all, Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3 + 4 is an awesome, if only slightly flawed, addition to the franchise. Not everyone is going to agree with some of the creative choices made in regard to the music, levels, and of course, the reimagined Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 4 playthrough style. But if you take it as what it is meant to be, a fun throwback to a more fun era of gaming for the older gamers, or an introduction to some awesome tunes, skaters, and shenanigans for the younger generation, then you will have a great time.
Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3+4 takes us back to the days when we thoroughly enjoyed these two skateboarding classics on a tube TV. These remakes combine the best of the original games with updated aesthetics and 4K graphics.

Tony Hawk returns in the best way possible. More maps, polished gameplay, and a full roster of skaters await in another awesome tribute to the pinnacle of the genre.
At the end of the day, THPS 3 + 4 is a fun, big, colorful, and excellent follow-up. It doesn’t try to be perfect - just honest and worthy of the originals. It may not have all the legendary moments of THPS 1+2, but it delivers so much quality content that it’s hard to imagine anyone getting bored anytime soon.
