Nicktoons & The Dice of Destiny Reviews
As mentioned in the video I love crossovers and nostalgia and this game combines both for me. The RPG mechanics may be a bit shallow but there is enough content and characters to keep you and your kids involved for hours. The voices may not be exactly as you remember but it doesn't take away from the feeling you are back watching a new episode of a cartoon you grew up with. This one was just a fun (albeit a repetitive at times but that's okay) adventure when you go in not expecting deep and complicated gameplay mechanics. So set your expectations and have some fun!
It turns out that Nicktoons & The Dice of Destiny is an interesting experiment: a crossover role-playing game that honors Nickelodeon's past while avoiding the problems that come with adaptation. Its best features are its creative character kits, nostalgic stories, and lively music.
Nicktoons & The Dice of Destiny is a genuinely solid and charming isometric dungeon-crawler that makes good use of all of the Nickelodeon IPs jammed into it, bolstered by great art direction and an excellent voice cast featuring many of the original voice actors. However, the game’s attempts to appeal to multiple audiences put it at a disadvantage.
With plenty of charm and some great drop-in/drop-out multiplayer, Nicktoons & The Dice of Destiny is a refreshing celebration of imagination and some of the most beloved cartoon characters ever made.
Nicktoons & The Dice of Destiny charms with its nostalgic cast and lighthearted tone, but its lack of depth and polish makes it more of a casual treat for fans than a compelling game experience.

I wish I could say that the general combat and experience here is sound, but with how the levels are constructed, and the reuse of almost entire environments to fill out four levels per location, it’s hard to really see much value here in what the studio has put together. I like the cutscenes and the teaming up of these characters, even hinting they have joined forces before, but are not sure where, but the gameplay around all of this is the same ten minutes over and over again to make up a roughly six-hour adventure. With a lack of variety to shake things up and a fairly disappointing roster of characters, it simply rolls low and takes the damage.
Nicktoons & The Dice of Destiny is a charming but short action RPG that is particularly appealing due to its nostalgia factor and the detailed realisation of the Nickelodeon worlds. The varied dungeons, the characters' abilities true to the series and the many Easter eggs make it a little highlight, especially for fans of the 2000s childhood heroes.

Nicktoons & The Dice of Destiny is an entertaining action RPG for newcomers, but its performance on Switch is disappointing.
Nicktoons & The Dice of Destiny is an accessible and fun action RPG, perfect for Nickelodeon fans and anyone looking for light local co-op. The game shines with its real-time combat and varied roster of characters, each inspired by classic RPG classes. Despite the low difficulty and the lack of visual progression for weapons and armor, the experience is redeemed by its humor, creativity, and nostalgic worlds.

The simple gameplay formula and the local co-op options turn this ARPG romp into an accessible entry point into this exciting genre, with the 9 playable Nicktoons characters offering sufficiently diverse skills to bother trying ’em all.
