Granblue Fantasy: Relink - Endless Ragnarok is an excellent expansion that makes the game even more fun, while improving the brutal endgame grind. By introducing a brilliant single-player roguelite mode alongside the most challenging content to date, game-changing character traits and giving Lyria an active role in combat, Cygames has exceeded expectations once again, delivering a must-get for newcomers and veterans alike.

Endless Ragnarok is very much worth playing through, not only because of characters like Fediel and Maglielle, who will have you rethinking how you tackle the game’s encounters entirely, but also because of the flashy new fights and new grinds available, as well as the extremely fun summoning system.

If you played and loved the original release of Relink, then Endless Ragnarok is going to be an amazing time. It’s a heaping helping of new battles, new bosses, and new characters. Between that, the summon system, and some new progression mechanics, there’s so much to dive into.

Final impressions of Granblue Fantasy: Relink – Endless Ragnarok are heavily tied to how you feel about the original game. Liked it and enjoyed clearing the endgame content? Then grab the DLC without hesitation - another 50–100 hours of fun monster-slaying action are guaranteed. Enjoyed the story but not a fan of grinding? Then it's better to skip it.

Granblue Fantasy: Relink – Endless Ragnarok is one of the more unique, attractive, and immediately enjoyable JRPGs available for the Switch 2. The main story is not very long, but the game offers more than enough peripheral content to keep players busy for quite some time.

Relink's major expansion is highly impressive, but it's important to set expectations of what it brings; it doesn't completely revamp the game from top to bottom, but it builds upon the endgame of Cygames' action RPG with many new quests, characters, and systems to power-up your roster once more.

Granblue Fantasy: Relink - Endless Ragnarok eschews story for brutally hard bosses. It's more of a gauntlet of tough challenges for veteran players rather than the casual crowd, though its new characters and less tedious grind are welcome inclusions.

Granblue Fantasy: Relink – Endless Ragnarok answers a lot of the complaints I had with the base game and adds a ton more to do in the game. If you haven’t played Granblue Fantasy: Relink before, this is the perfect time to get the game and the expansion, as it is still an amazing experience.

Granblue Fantasy: Relink – Endless Ragnarok is a great new expansion with a few flaws. However, those flaws don't hinder the otherwise enjoyable new pile of content.

Endless Ragnarok isn't a game changer for Granblue Fantasy: Relink, but it does stock the base game with better-balanced and deeper endgame gameplay. There's not much new in terms of story, and there's a fair bit of reskinning and rehashing going on, yet this is a smart expansion for a relatively breezy RPG experience.

Granblue Fantasy: Relink's major expansion, Endless Ragnarok, greatly expands the game with an impressive amount of new content. The time and effort required to fully build a character have now increased several times over. New characters, the summon system, new bosses, and the solo roguelike mode all offer substantial, high-quality additions. While the Chaos difficulty features too many reused enemies and the story presentation leaves something to be desired, Endless Ragnarok still delivers 20 to 50 or more hours of additional gameplay.

Endless Ragnarok doesn’t reinvent Granblue Fantasy: Relink. It’s the same core game, just with some extra content tacked on to keep veteran endgame players grinding for a few more weeks.

Granblue Fantasy: Relink – Endless Ragnarok is a truly well-crafted Expanded Edition of the highly sought-after JRPG released almost two years ago. Admittedly, the emphasis on the story isn’t particularly strong here, but fans of pure action and epic battles against gigantic beasts, all set against a backdrop of phenomenal anime graphics, certainly won’t need much persuading to give this new game a go.
