Granblue Fantasy: Relink – Endless Ragnarok is a truly well-crafted Expanded Edition of the highly sought-after JRPG released almost two years ago. Admittedly, the emphasis on the story isn’t particularly strong here, but fans of pure action and epic battles against gigantic beasts, all set against a backdrop of phenomenal anime graphics, certainly won’t need much persuading to give this new game a go.

Reviewing this version is no easy task, as there are two different perspectives. Considering the whole picture, Granblue Fantasy: Relink - Endless Ragnarok is the definitive version of a modern classic and one of my favorite games of this generation, expanding and refining everything that was already great. However, viewed solely from the perspective of what it adds to the base game, it's a robust content, but it has high re-entry barrier, relies on repetitive endgame elements, and doesn't bring enough new features to transform the game, making it bigger, but not necessarily better.

A solid expanded and revamped take on Grandblue Fantasy: Relink with a ton of new content

I appreciate that the DNA of a free-to-play property is the Granblue name, obviously, but the console titles should be an opportunity to build the name into something meaningful. Not just continue to churn out endless content to keep people playing.

If there is a JRPG equavilent to Monster Hunter, then Granblue Fantasy Relink have always been one. Just for Endless Ragnarok to blow things out of the water and provide a post game that is worthy to be called as one of the most addictive JRPG titles this generation

Granblue Fantasy: Relink isn't a game that I'd suggest for everybody, but if you're a JRPG fan looking for something new to try and enjoy I'd say you can't go wrong. With a fun roster of characters, beautiful art, and fast, energetic gameplay, I can't wait to revisit Relink.

The final impression is this: not only is it an excellent action RPG, but it’s also a platform designed to grow over time, capable of rewarding both those who simply want to complete a spectacular campaign and those who enjoy spending hundreds of hours searching for the perfect build and taking on the most challenging trials.

Granblue Fantasy: Relink – Endless Ragnarok reimagines the game’s endgame with a roguelike mode, six excellent new characters, deeper progression, and challenging encounters that reward strategy over raw damage. Its grind-heavy structure, visual clutter, and modest story hold it back, but mechanically it’s an exceptional expansion for dedicated players.

Granblue Fantasy: Relink is a fast-paced and highly enjoyable action JRPG built around an excellent combat system, a likeable cast, spectacular boss fights, and gorgeous audiovisual presentation. Its story moves a little too quickly and some side content leans heavily on grinding, while Endless Ragnarok focuses more on expanding the endgame than delivering another major narrative campaign, but together they offer a substantial and rewarding package for both newcomers and long-term players.

Going into the review, I had nerves and uncertainty. Coming out of it, I believe I found a new passion. That is a very hard standard for a game to set and speaks to the level of enjoyability. I believe this is the sort of release that is very rare recently, a truly masterfully crafted DLC.

Fans of MMOs and loot driven games will feel right at home here. There’s an enormous amount of content to sink your teeth into, and the additional Endless Ragnarok expansion only adds to that. The addictive Conflux roguelike mode is an absolute highlight, providing yet another compelling reason to keep coming back for “just one more run.”

Granblue Fantasy: Relink – Endless Ragnarok is an entertaining twenty-five to forty-hour expansion that stretches the complete package out to over a hundred hours. The new bosses are worth the trek to get there, but the repeated fights needed make taking breaks preferable to a marathon.

Granblue Fantasy Relink Endless Ragnarock is a great example of an Expansion made for the fans. It does do anything incredible, but it hones in on the specific content the fanbase loves the most, being the endgame boss fights.

Endless Ragnarok builds on what Relink was already good at, making it even better. It adds nearly double the content of the base game, giving players more enemies to beat and materials to grind for. While the narrative is forgettable, the added gameplay systems, combined with its great overall presentation, make it one of the best co-op action RPGs on the market right now, and it’s well worth the price.

Granblue Fantasy: Relink – Endless Ragnarok, folks, is a pretty cool expansion for a game that was already strong in its most basic form. I really enjoyed the improvements and new features, and I think the title manages to deliver what we expect from a quality DLC.

Endless Ragnarok revives the game with new characters and roguelite content. Master Skills fix base game issues and add deep build variety for all. While Summon Stones feel a bit shallow, the overall experience is excellent.

Endless Ragnarok certainly entertains, even without a strong emphasis on its narrative, which I feel is a very noticeable blemish here. Combat, new encounters, or remixed ones, and the added features to kit out your characters are the strongest elements that make this DLC really worth it. Summons and the Conflux feel fairly thin on function, but can certainly entertain from time to time, it's just a shame the roguelike addition is solo only, otherwise I would have put more time into it. Regardless, Endless Ragnarok is a damn good addition to Granblue, even if it doesn’t soar quite as high as the game it is added to.

Endless Ragnarok doesn’t try to reinvent Granblue Fantasy: Relink. Instead, it expands on what the base game does best: its exceptional combat. The six new playable characters are a joy to use, and the challenging boss encounters provide plenty of rewarding endgame content for veteran players. However, the expansion’s biggest drawback is its limited story, which lacks the emotional depth and memorable moments that made the original adventure so compelling. While it doesn’t quite reach the same heights as the base game, Endless Ragnarok is still a worthwhile expansion for players looking for more of Relink’s outstanding action-packed gameplay.
