Granblue Fantasy: Relink - Endless Ragnarok Reviews
The gameplay is generally fun and, given the large number of characters, offers a fair bit of variety despite the game’s accessibility. It looks good and the varied soundtrack is brilliant. The main story, right up to the end credits, is rather short – it took me 20 hours – but it’s entertaining.

Granblue Fantasy: Relink – Endless Ragnarok brings more of what’s in the base game, and not much else for new or returning players. As a co-op experience, I could see Endless Ragnarok as a group of up to four friends game of choice, especially with crossplay implemented, but the generic fantasy characters, repetition to a fault, and lack of any clear guidance make this hard to recommend. The accessibility features still put the responsibility in the player’s hands, making me question why this is even offered beyond as a tool for players looking to learn bosses. I don’t consider binging CBS’s Cold Case while keeping a hand on the controller to grind for hundreds of hours a peak gaming experience anymore, but maybe you need a new podcast game, and Granblue Fantasy: Relink – Endless Ragnarok might be a good fit.
It's fair to say that Granblue Fantasy: Relink - Endless Ragnarok is a great example of how to expand a good game. The DLC adds a lot of content to the action RPG, including new missions, new characters, and interesting gameplay mechanics. Although much of the new content is available after the campaign, the fun and quality of the title are present from the start, making it a great suggestion for both newcomers and veterans of the franchise.

Endless Ragnarok is a substantial expansion that significantly expands upon the combat systems, character build options, and advanced quest offerings of the 2014 game. However, the narrative weight of this DLC is not comparable to the number of quality-of-life improvements and new advanced quests. Thanks to this, Granblue Fantasy: Relink is more appealing than ever to new players, and its DLC provides a new reason for those who have already completed the game to return—once again—to Cygames' universe.

Cygames has delivered a product that will be very well received by longtime fans of the franchise, those who joined in Relink, and new players hopping in with the DLC. The level of gameplay quality, the spectacle of the fights and animations, the satisfying grind, and the content that delivers dozens and dozens of highly entertaining hours make Granblue Fantasy: Relink and Endless Ragnarok an easy recommendation on my part.

Endless Ragnarok delivers a robust, content-heavy expansion packed with impressive endgame modes and thrilling summon combat that expands the action-RPG's best ideas. While handheld play on Nintendo Switch 2 looks fantastic, inconsistent frame pacing, a locked 30 FPS, and heavy narrative gating leave this rich expansion feeling alienating to newcomers and visually compromise its portable premiere.
The thing is, Granblue Fantasy Relink: Endless Ragnarok feels heavily geared towards hardcore players who were already there, grinding it out past the credits, and doesn't really feel like an entry point for players looking to try it.
Granblue Fantasy: Relink delivers an extremely enjoyable action RPG experience, featuring fast-paced, deep, and highly addictive combat. The Endless Ragnarok expansion builds upon that experience with a new campaign, additional characters, new game modes, and progression systems that make the endgame even more robust. Even without revolutionizing its storytelling, the overall package impresses with its wide variety of content, excellent art direction, and gameplay that stands out as one of the best in the genre. It is an easy recommendation for action RPG fans and anyone looking for a game packed with dozens of hours of content and strong replay value.

Granblue Fantasy: Relink – Endless Ragnarok is a purrfect expansion that rewards dedicated players with new features such as summoning, crossplay, and quality-of-life improvements. Players will have a lengthy road to unlock the new content, but the journey is well worth it for fans who want a fun and challenging action RPG.
Granblue Fantasy: Relink – Endless Ragnarok is an excellent expansion that prioritises what the base game already excelled at: spectacular combat, satisfying progression, and addictive replayability. It's an easy recommendation for anyone who loved Relink and thrives on a good action RPG grind.
Granblue Fantasy: Relink – Endless Ragnarok is a really good expansion to this great game. My only thing is the heavy amount of monster quests that need to be done in order to start the content. With a wall like that, it slightly killed my momentum next to the grinding needed to continue. Luckily, we can get early access to the Conflux Surveys and can start the smooth grinding. But to me that’s just like using a coaster on a wobbly chair. I hope that if they make another DLC to this size or larger…please let us start the story before making us have to drag the grinding fest. I give Granblue Fantasy: Relink – Endless Ragnarok the Thumb Culture Gold Award
“I know that the PlayStation 5 has a few high-profile RPGs releasing in early 2024, but honestly, if you’re a fan of the genre, you REALLY won’t want to skip Granblue Fantasy: Relink,” I said in my original review. Two years later, that sentiment stands stronger than ever. Granblue Fantasy: Relink - Endless Ragnarok isn’t just an expansion, but instead feels like the definitive version of an already fantastic game. It addresses the grindy nature of the endgame, adds meaningful new mechanics, and provides a wealth of challenging new content. If you’re a returning player who enjoyed the base game, this is an absolute must-play, and if you’re jumping in for the first time, you’re in for a spectacular adventure with Granblue Fantasy: Relink - Endless Ragnarok.
Granblue Fantasy Relink returns after two years with Endless Ragnarok, an expansion that lives up to the game that inspired this action RPG, where the grind never stops, and continues to be the game with the best combat system of recent years.

The new Endless Ragnarok expansion, as its name suggests, brings a massive amount of new content to Granblue Fantasy: Relink, Cygames' colorful action RPG originally released in early 2024. The update introduces new abilities, higher difficulty levels, additional characters to unlock, and even a brand-new roguelike mode, significantly expanding the game's longevity. While its story, built around many familiar genre clichés, may not leave a lasting impression, the real highlight is its refined combat system. Deep, fast-paced, and spectacular, it draws inspiration from the very best action JRPGs, delivering dozens of hours of engaging gameplay whether you're playing solo or with friends.

Granblue Fantasy Relink Endless Ragnarok is a meaty expansion with 30+ hours of content that makes an already great game even better and easy to get into for newcomers, although the new roguelite mode is repetitive and could use a bit more content.

A JRPG with engaging active combat, and plenty of terrific characters to enjoy, even if perhaps the scope of the story seems limited
Granblue Fantasy: Relink – Endless Ragnarok is the kind of expansion that is bound to get Granblue Fantasy: Relink fans coming back again and again. Gorgeous, glorious and gratifying, I’m looking forward to conquering whatever Granblue Fantasy: Relink – Endless Ragnarok throws my way next.
For first-timers, there are already 28 playable characters, each with their own unique gameplay, making for an enjoyable adventure. I wouldn't recommend it to everyone, but if you enjoy the genre, I suggest you check it out.

Granblue Fantasy: Relink - Endless Ragnarok is a rather excellent game as a whole package as long as you’re looking for gameplay over story in your JRPG. That said, the Endless Ragnarok content is only really exciting to heavily invested players, who really want to farm the endgame. The new roguelite mode is certainly a standout feature, but you will need to grind those quests for quite a while before unlocking it in full.
