Denshattack! is an incredibly stylish, spectacular, and exhilarating game. It combines quirky visuals, strong sound design, and a clever gameplay concept. While anyone can easily pick it up and become immersed, it also offers plenty of depth for those who want to master its mechanics, perfectly embodying the idea of ‘easy to learn, hard to master.’

A perfect mix of colour, sound and satisfying gameplay makes Denshattack! a must-buy, both for completionists and score-chasers, but don’t let the simple controls fool you; this can be a difficult game, especially for those chasing those exclusive high scores!

Denshattack! is a celebration of chaos, creativity, and style, and, without a doubt, a must-play game of 2026. It is unapologetically fun, with quirky and colorful visuals, a fun cast, inventive mechanics, and anime-inspired spectacle that comes together harmoniously through a soundtrack highlighted by fantastic tunes.

Denshattack! is a game unlike any other, something that needs to be experienced. The arcade-style approach helps players get straight into the game, but the mass variety it offers, simple, punishing gameplay and the addiction it creates will keep players coming back for more. Every aspect of the game carries style and personality, and the music by various gaming musicians and composers is a welcome addition to the vibrant, dynamic aesthetics. It’s time to board the Denshattack! hype train because it’s about to take off at breakneck speeds with no signs of slowing down.

Denshattack is a wild, adrenaline-fueled ride that manages to make driving a train feel like the most intense thing you’ve done all year. While it stumbles slightly by lacking leaderboards and having some awkward UI choices during high-speed segments, the core loop is so satisfyingly deep that it’s easy to look past the rough edges. If you’re a fan of arcade classics and want something that leans fully into vibrant, over-the-top style, this is a total blast. It’s not just a stunt game; it’s a chaotic, rewarding, and deeply fun experience that proves trains should have been doing kickflips all along.

I may have mentioned several other games in this review; however, Denshattack! is really unlike anything else. There is virtually nothing negative I have to say about this game. Sure, it can get incredibly challenging, which leads to some frustration. But that was down to my own skill issues, rather than any unfairness from the game’s design. This is an incredibly fun, well-crafted title that I believe could be an indie smash hit. If you have any interest in original game ideas, you absolutely need to check out Denshattack! Who knew extreme sports: trains edition could be so much fun? Therefore, Denshattack! receives the ThumbCulture Platinum Award!

Denshattack! stands out in a genre dominated by conventional ideas and vast open spaces. Unique without being unreachable. Nostalgic without derivative. Hard but not punitive. The game is full of contagious excitement, whether you're pursuing top scores, level mastery, secret passageways, or soaring through strange realms at breakneck speed.

Denshattack is a game that shows how weird ideas can become amazing experiences when executed well. A train-based action game shouldn’t work so well, but the makers knew exactly what made arcade games memorable: simple concepts, satisfying mechanics, and constant surprises.

Undercoders surprises us with a concept that takes the familiarity of skateboarding and presents it in an original package to create an extremely creative, intense, and unique experience. Denshattack! is “the surprise” of 2026 so far. It’s a title from which I expected something much smaller and more concise—not in terms of length, but in terms of ambition. However, what we have here is an experience that doesn’t shy away from taking risks or daring to do something different, offering tools that foster expression and creativity.

Denshattack! turns an absurd premise, a train doing skateboard tricks through a dystopian Japan, into one of the freshest arcade experiences in years, with a deep trick system and level design that never stops surprising.

Even so, it is precisely because it doesn't try to be like the others that *Denshattack!* wins you over. In a market where so many titles follow well-worn formulas, this small project chooses to take a chance on a highly unlikely concept—and manages to make it work. For anyone who grew up playing *Tony Hawk*, *Crazy Taxi*, or even *Jet Set Radio*, it’s impossible not to smile throughout the adventure. I never thought I’d write this sentence, but here we are: now I can say I was around back when a train driver managed to turn a train into a skateboard.

Turning a train into a rollercoaster that does Tony Hawk skateboarding tricks is a pitch too good to not deliver, and luckily Denshattack does just that. The balancing act of combo chaining and obstacle dodging creates a high-energy game of reaction and improvement, delivering non-stop excitement.

Denshattack! is a stylish adrenaline rush that nails the blend of trick-based action and cyberpunk aesthetics in ways most games can’t touch. That’s the TBB Curator blurb, and for once it might be underselling it. This is one of the most confidently weird, mechanically sharp, visually loud games of 2026, and the fact that it’s a trick game about trains is the least interesting thing about it once you’re actually playing. Undercoders took a premise that reads as a joke and built something with real technical depth underneath it. The controls are excellent. The skill ceiling is enormous. The presentation is gorgeous. The bosses are completely unhinged in the best way. The story and characters are better than they had any obligation to be. It runs at 200fps on modest hardware and 60 locked on a Steam Deck. It’s twenty dollars. The boss jank is real and the story runtime is on the shorter side — but this is a score-attack arcade game, and judging it on story length is like judging Tony Hawk on its narrative. The content is in the mastery, and there’s a mountain of it. If the trailer looks exciting to you, buy it. That’s the whole recommendation. Almost nobody who’s played this game has come away anything less than delighted, and the ones who list complaints are listing them from the other side of forty hours of medal-chasing.

Denshattack! is a wonderfully bizarre experience that pays off beautifully, offering a masterclass in arcade level design and high-score chasing that’ll keep you hooked in for hours on end. I love it when games are a little weird and do something remarkably distinct that I haven’t seen before, and trust me, Denshattack! ticks all of the right boxes there. But more importantly? It also delivers a gameplay experience that’s genuinely brilliant… don’t skip this one, trust me.

Denshattack! is full of style and substance. Its wacky premise, combined with auto-runner gameplay that avoids monotony and boasts an enviable soundtrack, makes for an easily addictive experience. There are rough edges to smooth out—such as control issues and lackluster elements like the weak story—that keep the game from reaching even greater heights. Even so, the adventure on offer delivers plenty of fun for anyone interested.

On this first half of 2026, Denshattack is the most fun game I’ve played. Spectacular and generous in content, it offers a balanced customizable train system, endearing characters and exemplary accessibility. All he needs is a multiplayer mode to be perfect.
