Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave is the most ambitious entry in the series yet, and it could likely be the best at the same time. With an incredible amount of depth and excellent storytelling, this is yet another Nintendo gem not to miss.
Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave is a visually stunning departure that trades the series' beloved tactical combat for heavy JRPG exploration. While the core grid battles are brilliant, they are too often buried under clunky real-time dungeons and tedious open-world busywork. It is an ambitious, beautiful experiment, but strategy purists may find themselves left out in the cold.
Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave feels like four games in one, such is the scale on show. It might too much for some, but those who fall for it will live and breathe it for a long, long time because this is about as good as it gets for tactics fans.
«Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave» is a massive strategy epic with a gripping story, memorable characters, and a unique structure that keeps things fresh even after 100+ hours. Its classic turn-based combat is excellent, while the addictive side activities add plenty of variety. Some repetitive elements may put players off, but clever systems keep the grind to a minimum. Beautiful cutscenes, creative character designs, and a bombastic soundtrack round out an exceptional experience. It is, simply put, the best Switch 2 exclusive to date and one of the best games I've ever played.

Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave brings an interesting new twist to the familiar formula. The tactical battles feel familiar, while switching between four unique main characters and their different storylines provides plenty of variety. The story takes a while to get going, but it gets stronger once you understand how the different pieces fit together.

I enjoyed every single one of the nearly 170 hours I spent with Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave. The countless times I cursed at my units missing a 99% hit chance while enemies land their 10% shots is just part of the Fire Emblem experience. I'm still eager to learn more about the history of Fortune's Weave's world. I can overlook the lack of a New Game+ and the single save slot available to players. Attentive fans have already noticed a mention of in-game purchases in the eShop, though nothing of the sort has been announced yet. We'll have to wait and see what the future holds for Fortune's Weave.

Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave is an ambitious entry for the series, and it delivers a memorable experience that's hard to put down. Between the expansive Flame Lord campaigns, which feed into the Pale Raven campaign, there is a lot of story content to parse through. Many of the characters you meet are worth recruiting, and getting to know them over a meal is one of the better moments outside of training with them at the colosseum. What Nintendo has done with the latest Fire Emblem is nothing short of marvellous.
