Fortune's Weave isn't just a new Fire Emblem: it's the series trying to be everything it has been over thirty-six years, all at once, with four heroes, five stories and an entire continent to explore, all held together by a subtle common thread. Not everything flows at the same pace, and those looking for a more immediate experience might get lost among calendars and activities, but those who let themselves ride the wave will find one of the best entries in the saga and one of the most important titles ever to arrive on Switch 2, or perhaps the most important of all on the new console.

Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave is an ambitious game packed with content that delivers some of the series' best tactical battles. On the downside, the sheer volume of tasks and the repetitive nature of the gameplay might deter some players. The lack of Brazilian Portuguese localization is the main issue preventing it from being perfect. If you have the time and patience, and speak English, FE:FW is easily one of the best games on the Switch 2 right now and a real treat for fans of RPGs and Fire Emblem.

Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave is a sprawling masterpiece of a strategy RPG, building upon the successes of past Fire Emblem games with new interconnected elements, expertly designed combat puzzles, and an emphasis on flexibility and choice.
Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave is gigantic. That vastness can occasionally act as a barrier between the player and the core tactics, but it is somehow able to support all that weight with memorable battles and a sharp gameplay loop. In the end, the only major problem is vacuous writing -- and lots of it.
On the whole, Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave is dense, deep, and really rather delightful. It can sometimes feel like a bit too much of a good thing, with the pacing slipping in the later chapters, thanks to an unnecessarily complicated protagonist hierarchy and some grindy map management, but the battles have never felt better, and there's no knocking the sheer amount to do.It takes a lot for a game to hold my attention for as long as Fortune's Weave, and with a bunch of content still waiting for me, I'll be happy to pour even more days into it.

A hallmark of excellence. There may be flaws, but they are negligible and won't cause massive damage. Once I finally got past the anime artstyle and daunting tactical gameplay, I was hooked. Fire Emblem's arduous onboarding for a newcomer is a minor roadblock in the way of an epic, sprawling, time-consuming adventure that's fun, challenging, and very enjoyable.
The best Fire Emblem game of the modern era and a staggering achievement in terms of the volume of content and the variety of gameplay – with even the plot taking some unexpected detours.

Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave is the dense, character-rich RPG that I’ve been waiting to play on my Switch 2.
Of course, there's no denying that its structure is, to say the least, unique. And there will probably be some people who find it difficult to grasp... But if you're a strategy enthusiast who enjoys meticulous management and min-maxing to build the best possible army, here's a tremendous SRPG and a bottomless pit of hours. Well, more than a pit... a cauldron.
