Ghost of Yotei Complete Edition Reviews
Ghost of Yōtei is undoubtedly one of the most visually impressive games of its generation, and the Complete Edition arrives to cap off an experience that was already remarkably complete. The Echoes of Sekigahara expansion deserves particular recognition for exploring Atsu's past and her relationship with Nagato, adding new layers to the narrative without relying solely on the events of the main campaign. Although having to progress several hours into the story before accessing this content is a drawback, the expansion justifies its existence by filling in important gaps and providing new reasons to return to Ezo. The Most Wanted mode is also a very welcome addition, particularly because it transforms combat into a more dynamic and replayable experience. The ability to experiment with different hunters, skill combinations, and upgrades makes each run interesting, but its greatest strength lies in encouraging players to better understand the combat mechanics. It almost serves as a training ground for anyone looking to improve their skills, experiment with new strategies, and prepare for higher difficulties, including a new journey through New Game+. The inclusion of Digital Deluxe Edition content and new New Game+ items also makes this edition more appealing, bringing together much of what has been developed for the game since its release in a single package. It is important to remember that some improvements were made available for free to all players, but the combination of the narrative expansion, Most Wanted mode, and additional content makes the Complete Edition the most comprehensive option for anyone looking to experience everything Ghost of Yōtei has to offer. Ultimately, Atsu's journey feels more complete than ever. The new expansion adds depth to her story, while Most Wanted broadens the possibilities of combat and provides a compelling reason to keep playing even after completing the campaign. For those who have yet to experience the game, this is the ideal opportunity to embark on the adventure with virtually all the available content. For those who have followed the journey since launch, returning will largely depend on their interest in discovering the new chapters of the story and exploring the possibilities offered by the additional mode. The Complete Edition does not reinvent what already worked, but rather builds on its strengths and delivers a more complete experience, reinforcing Ghost of Yōtei as an adventure worth experiencing to the very end.
Ghost of Yōtei Complete Edition is more than just a bundle of extras. Echoes of Sekigahara gives Atsu’s past and the legacy of the Snake the attention they lacked in the main game, whilst Ashoro Foothills is a bleak but fascinating new corner of Ezo. Most Wanted is a surprisingly well-thought-out roguelike, and Jin Sakai’s return is fan service at its best. The expansion is a bit short, though, and Most Wanted does become repetitive after a while. Nevertheless, this is without a doubt the best version of Ghost of Yōtei available. Haven’t played Atsu’s quest for revenge yet? Then now is the perfect time to get started.

While the PlayStation 5 generation is far from over, Ghost of Yōtei is the best exclusive from this generation.
This could have been included in the base game so we could understand even better why Atsu is so cold and solely focused on revenge, without looking back. It wasn't just the Six of Yotei who messed with her on this quest!

Ghost of Yotei: Complete Edition is a great excuse to discover one of the best PS5 games or to lose yourself in Ezo all over again. Echoes of Sekigahara maintains the high standard of the main adventure, and Most Wanted lets you continue enjoying its fantastic combat, although the matches could use a bit more variety. It’s an expansion I’ve really enjoyed, and it’s left me wanting to keep playing.

A hard-hitting expansion that delves deeper into Atsu’s past while introducing a tremendously addictive roguelike mode. It doesn't reinvent the wheel mechanically, but it gives us more than enough reason to unsheathe the katana once again on PS5.

Ghost of Yōtei Complete Edition strengthens Atsu’s story and gives its satisfying combat more room to work. The upgrade is worth its asking price, even if the additions aren’t enough to push the overall game beyond 3.5 out of 5.
Ghost of Yotei might not be the most essential PlayStation game ever created.
Ghost of Yōtei: Complete Edition is chock-full of enjoyable new content that makes an already excellent game even better. The added campaign strengthens the game’s world, while the Most Wanted roguelike mode lets you experience intense combat in a fresh way. There’s no better time or way to experience Sucker Punch’s most recent banger, so I fully recommend giving it a go.
The Ghost of Yōtei Complete Edition delivers many hours of entertainment. Even the base game was convincing on its own. While the free Legends Co-Op Mode added to the package isn't really meant for someone like me who prefers single-player gameplay, there's now additional solo content too with "Echoes of Sekigahara" and "Most Wanted." I was happy to return to Ezo.

Echoes of Sekigahara gives Atsu greater emotional depth through a compelling return to her past, while Most Wanted transforms Ghost of Yotei Complete Edition’s excellent combat into an addictive, challenging roguelike loop.
The new content in Ghost of Yōtei: Complete Edition is unabashedly great stuff. After completing the platinum last year, I was excited to finally get new content, and it delivers: strong story paired with an addictive roguelike element. Between the new story expansion, Most Wanted, and Legends mode, there is no better time to dive into this tale of family and revenge. I just wish it came sooner.
Whether it’s your first time or the encore, Ghost of Yotei Complete Edition is the best way to experience Atsu’s story. The Echoes of Sekigahara story expansion gives fans some much-needed backstory on our heroine’s mysterious past, while the Most Wanted mode lets you carve your way through hordes of enemies with a roster of familiar faces. In a year already drowning in must-plays, don’t let this one slip through the cracks a second time
Ghost of Yotei Complete Edition offers the most complete way to revisit Ezo and relive Atsu’s adventure. Echoes of Sekigahara expands the narrative with a new story that delves deeper into the protagonist’s past, while Most Wanted puts the combat system to the test with a more immediate and replayable formula. The numerous additions and improvements make the experience even richer without altering its core formula. Nothing revolutionary, but they provide plenty of reasons to dive back into the world of Ghost of Yotei.

This was already one of the PS5’s prettiest, most satisfying open-world adventures. The Complete Edition doesn’t reinvent it. Instead, it gives its strongest ingredients more room to breathe, adds a genuinely worthwhile new chapter to Atsu’s story and provides a surprisingly addictive combat playground on the side.
"A powerful, comprehensive return to Atsu’s journey" Ghost of Yōtei: Complete Edition thoughtfully expands upon the original experience with the deeper narrative of Echoes of Sekigahara and the Most Wanted mode, which breathes new life into the combat system. While the expansion doesn't reinvent the combat mechanics—and Most Wanted lacks narrative depth and variety—the quality of the foundation, the diversity of characters and perks, the persistent progression, and the high technical standards make this package a strong, well-rounded addition.

Ghost of Yotei Complete Edition is easily the definitive version of the experience. It gives fans more to do in an already fantastic experience, filling in pieces of history that are genuinely interesting to learn about.
Along with Most Wanted and the Legends mode, Echoes of Sekigahara is a great addon, making Ghost of Yotei: Complete Edition feel like a great package.
A complete edition worthy of Ghost of Yotei. The addition of a new story and roguelike mode undoubtedly expands the amount of content on offer. However, Wanted, which was expected to be the ace up its sleeve, feels more focused on a casual experience than anticipated, so those looking for the depth typically associated with roguelikes may find it somewhat lacking.
