HOT WHEELS Infinite Rush Reviews
Yeah, I've really enjoyed Hot Wheels Infinite Rush so far. Because of its massive scope, I'm nowhere near finished (especially not 100%!), but I'm definitely still up for it.

The previous Hot Wheels Unleashed games understood that the best thing about Hot Wheels is putting tiny cars somewhere they absolutely shouldn’t be. Infinite Rush gives those cars a massive playground, but because everything is built around the same toy scale, it doesn’t produce quite the same sense of wonder.
HOT WHEELS Infinite Rush successfully turns Milestone's toy-racing formula into a charming open world, delivering addictive collecting and fun driving despite uneven activities, navigation issues, and technical frustrations.
Your overall mileage, pun intended, will vary based on what you want in a racer. If you want colorful tracks, bopping background tunes, quick jump in/out races, and a fun time without the stress of car management, Hot Wheels Infinite Rush might be what you are looking for. But if you crave a bit more control and a world that feels real, this one won’t be parked in your gaming garage anytime soon.
Hot Wheels Infinite Rush trades the imaginative, life-sized scale of the Unleashed games for a generic open-world approach, resulting in solid but forgettable racing that ranks as Milestone's least compelling Hot Wheels title yet.

Hot Wheels: Infinite Rush is damn fun, and fulfils those childhood moments of driving those metal cars through classic playmats and the abundance of play sets. The Switch 2 version is still enjoyable, but it's a noticeable drop in quality from the other console and PC versions. Still, with a ton of cars, races, and collectibles to track down, the vastness of each map makes this a Hot Wheels fan's dream come true.
Milestone expands the Hot Wheels formula with exploration, six event types, different vehicle categories and tracks built directly into the open world. It is fun and creative, especially in shorter sessions, but loses some of Hot Wheels Unleashed’ constant intensity.

Hot Wheels Infinite Rush is an energetic, colourful and surprisingly successful open-world racer that finally seems to fully embrace the Hot Wheels fantasy. The four islands are buzzing with life, the activities keep you entertained and the vehicles all look fantastic. It’s a game you’ll play with a smile on your face, even when the repetition sets in or the challenge level remains a bit low. Infinite Rush is one of the best Hot Wheels titles to date, though it remains a game that really shines when you take it for what it is: a giant toy box where you can keep racing around endlessly.

Hot Wheels Infinite Rush delivers a colorful and nostalgic arcade racing experience packed with vehicles, events and creative options, although its semi-open world loses momentum due to empty stretches, awkward travel between islands and a lack of direction.

Hot Wheels Infinite Rush delivers responsive arcade racing, extensive car variety, and useful creative tools, but its open world lacks scale and meaningful activities. The toy-like presentation fits the brand, yet the shift away from the previous games' track-focused structure feels less compelling, leaving a competent but unexceptional racer.
HOT WHEELS Infinite Rush is a solid arcade racing game that strikes the right balance between nostalgia for longtime collectors and a modern, fresh, and accessible gameplay experience for a new generation of players.

If you want a lighthearted, collectable-heavy arcade racer and can look past floaty physics, missing brake lights, and stubborn controller buzz, Hot Wheels Infinite Rush is a fun weekend burnout; just don’t expect tight sim-grade racing. But do expect one of the best Hot Wheels games in the series to date.
Hot Wheels: Infinite Rush is a game that will likely appeal to collectors and fans of the iconic franchise. As for me, my passion for cars made it easy to get hooked on its universe and particularly extensive garage. It’s just a shame that the repetitive nature of the challenges eventually puts the brakes on the desire to keep racing.

Hot Wheels: Infinite Rush is a highly entertaining arcade racer that offers fun for players of all ages. Don't expect an open world with the depth of Forza Horizon 6, though; Hot Wheels: Infinite Rush is still just a little too early for that.

Hot Wheels Infinite Rush is a decent arcade racer, while it doesn’t quite live up to the greatness of the last two Unleashed titles, it does attempt to shift the franchise to a more open world setting that ultimately delivery some mixed results.
Hot Wheels: Infinite Rush offers an exciting and engaging racing experience filled with a variety of fun gameplay elements, creative design aspects, and numerous items to unlock as players progress. Although the game features controls that may be somewhat complex for children, it still provides plenty of enjoyable moments for players of all ages, making it a great choice for family gaming sessions.
Infinite Rush delivers a fun arcade racing experience with an impressive open-world transition, but limited activity variety, uneven difficulty, and customization options hold it back from reaching its full potential.

Hot Wheels Infinite Rush is essentially Hot Wheels Unleashed 2 with an open world bolted on — and that's largely a good thing. The racing itself is fun, the biomes look great, and cruising around the toy-sized islands taps into that childhood nostalgia perfectly. The problem is that this open world keeps getting in its own way: only actual races progress you through the game, and getting to them means sitting through loading screens that stretch up to 50 seconds on Switch 2 — twice per four-minute race. Combine that with an open world whose activities barely feed into progression, and free-roaming quickly turns into a patience test. On other platforms this may play out differently, but on Switch 2, Hot Wheels Infinite Rush is a solid arcade racer that makes its own open world unnecessarily exhausting.

A colourful celebration of speed and creativity that keeps you coming back for more.
Infinite Rush is a fun and slightly nostalgic game for Hot Wheels fans, and for those who are about to become fans, it’s an ideal gateway into the world of small toy cars.
